The only disappointment I have is with the lack of sponsorship by Sith Audio. They need to get back to sponsoring you pronto.
This
Don’t change a thing. Complainers are going to complain about something…if all they can find is to crap on your video titles…your doing something right.
On youtube, you could post that you saved an elderly woman and a cat from a fire and they'd complain that you didn't help put the fire out.
Are you kidding? Your personality is why you have become so popular.
I completely agree. Randy could explain the properties of latex based paint and make it interesting and enjoyable.
@@chelle12368 so grab a coffee and pull out that can of paint...
@@robmaxwell3678 😂👍
Dude if it ain't broke don't fix it. I've been watching you since the beginning and obviously how you've gotten here has worked for you. I love how you review and your style. Headlines have NEVER bothered me. You're the man brother. Just keep doin what got ya to the dance.
Randy, Thank You for getting me back into loving music reproduced at its finest level! You haven't misled me. You have led me to discover great products from Elac, Emotiva, Geshelli, and a few other great companies that I may have never found on my own. Sure a few things weren't to my taste, but that doesn't make them bad. We all have different tastes. Thank You for what you do!!!
Please stay exactly who you are. You are one of the most likeable UA-camr in this genre
amen
Randy is a loveable goober. You can't hate on that.
Ah yes, Elac Jones. A real Pioneer in the audio industry.
Wasn’t he a friend of Nigel McIntosh?
I went to kindergarten with those guys
I appreciate what you are doing. And the efforts required. I think it would be a great informative video, if you went over the steps required to produce one of your episodes. As far as contacting manufacturers, getting items, reviewing them etc. and still find time for life and family.
Personally, if your titles are the biggest thing in life for me to get mad about, I’m living a good life!
Gonna smash that like button 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Man's gotta put food on the table. If I get reeled in by a click bait title and it's not what I want to watch, I just stop watching it, very simple really. Not sure why people get so butt hurt over it?
100% agree, I love when people act like there’s not literally one million other choices out there, turds…
I recently had surgery. Your channel helped me laugh and get through it. Your awesome sir. You have also helped me to decide finally on what equipment I’m going to buy. Schiit freya plus, Schiit Vidar, Wharfdale Lintons, Fluance 85 and a Rotel CD. Thanks man !!
I just got a Freya* about a week ago and I love it. Enjoy!!
I really like your reviews. They are honest, legitimate. I love hearing about sales. I like looking you up before I buy stuff. I use my audio stuff or home theater..... so its nice when you aim suggestions that way, too!
No apology necessary! Among the best audio reviews out there
You have nothing to apologize about. You provide good info with a nice dose of comedy.
Great channel. Combo of incisive and valuable information from an engaging, real guy.
Keep on, as long as the titles regarding content are given with a wink, we can have a chuckle.
Randy, don't second guess yourself! Maybe there are a couple of misleading titles but that shouldn't be a distraction to those of us that already know you and your capabilities. I mean, you're the man that gave the Emotiva B1+ review that enabled me to buy a pair without listening to them first...something that I never thought I'd do. Keep up the great work and do what is necessary to keep this gig moving forward.
Randy, your channel has been a HUGE wealth of knowledge and source for pure entertainment. I have enjoyed this journey whole heartedly. Thank you soo much!
My guy, you are good. Everyone does the click bait thing, that's the formula. Do what works. Some people get angry, can't please everyone. You get folks to the content and they decide if they want to keep going. All the fun aside, you get the information out. I know I started with my own hifi journey after watching one of your videos way back and haven't looked back. I awlays check your videos first whenever I decide to check something out. You're an entertainer and a resource guide. You got to do what you got to do to keep the train moving onward. I'm here for it.
Great channel and content. Keep being yourself. How you ever memorize all the models numbers and specs is beyond me. Always look forward to the next video.
Yea I wouldn’t worry, Randy mate. You’re providing outrageous value; I’ve bought several bits and pieces on your advice and they’ve all been great. Keep it up man, you’re a valuable public service!
I always thought your titles were great! Don't over analyze yourself bro! Om a salesman so I know how it can be. By the way I took your advice and bought a WiiM pro air2 and it is just awesome! Thanks for the advice and keep plugging my brotha!
I appreciate that!
Honestly, I think you're good. I wouldn't worry about it. Your videos are very entertaining and informative regardless of title.
Awesome! Thank you!
@@cheapaudioman Brother I completely agree with you regarding the ELAC Debut 2 speakers. I purchased the first generation back when they first came out and have been enjoying their powerful bass response and warmth that pairs perfectly with my Marantz 2252.
I’ve been subscribed to the channel long enough to have figured out that you and I have different tastes in sound. That not only doesn’t prevent me from watching, it keeps me watching, because I now have what I think are pretty clear (not opposite) points of reference . And I like that you’re not so damn serious.
To wit: Elac Debut 6.2 is, for me, terrific. Agreed on everything except bass, of which there is more than enough for me. Helps to have an amp with tone controls, too.
Is it fun? If fun is more along the lines of Klipsch 600, then no. But those send me running out of the room with my fingers in my ears.
There’s a great saying in Spanish; “Cada loco con su tema”. Might apply here.
Keep up the good work and don’t worry so much about the titles.
thanks, John!
I got a subwoofer for the first time. Had no idea how much bass was in your transitions. Now I can enjoy your channel even more! (sub is Polk PSW10 btw)
It’s called cheap audio man... if you’re surprised by the content grow a pair.
We love you Randy.
Hey the moment I see Cheap Audio Man I know I’ll want to check it out! Never get to reading the titles!LoL!
Just keep on doing whatever it is you’re doing Randy! I’ll be psyched to check it out! Thanks!
You dont owe ANY apologies. Its called marketing. its the second oldest profession. The thing i like best about you is your honesty and the fact that you talk about gear most of us can afford. I dont need 6000 dollar speakers no matter how good they are. Carry on and tell it like it is, as you have been. and Thank You for the information . I bought 2 Fosi amps based on your info. and im happy I did. totally shocked that you liked elac 5 series better than 6 series. thats why i watch.
he does owe AN apology. It's called failed marketing. I didn't even click his last video cause he burned me before. The second oldest profession and didn't get it right if I don't click. Now he apologized I'll go back to clicking. Plus the rest of what you mentioned is unrelated to click bait titles. btw I bought 4 of those fosi/ayima amps based on his info but that has nothing to do with click bait titles.
a) You have nothing to apologize for. I've watched quite a few of your videos and the titles are just fine. Really enjoying your channel.
b) Based on your earlier reviews I had ordered an almost complete set (couldn't get the C1+, so I picked up a Martin Logan Motion 30i on closeout for $250) of Emotivas to fill out a 5.2.2 surround system (one pair of T1+'s, A1+'s, and A2+'s) a day or two before this video came out. Delivered yesterday and set them up immediately. Wow. The speakers are amazing. I can't believe how inexpensive they are, especially with the crazy cheap sale they're running. About the only knock I could have on them is the vinyl wrap, but they look good enough and rest of the build quality is most excellent. I am so glad your review convinced me they were the way to go. Thank you, sir. My ears really appreciate it.
I know audiophiles skew older but I think we’re more Erin Grey than Sophia Loren.
Stumbled across the channel in search of my first speakers. It’d be one thing if the title pulled me in and the videos sucked. But it’s quite the opposite. The content itself is great! I found Emotiva through your channel recently and picked up some T1+ towers for a crazy price. Never thought I could get this kind of sound for the price. Much appreciated.
Edit: Annnnd looks like a few more things are back in stock. Time to get the center and surrounds.
You're doing fine, Randy. You have to work the system, and that's the algorithm setup by UA-cam. It's SOP for the platform. Appreciate ya and love your sense of humor!
Just got my Emotiva Airmotiv A1 Atmos speakers earlier this week that I got on sale. They seem to be blending in well with the rest of my vintage speakers in a 9.1 config. Appreciated the tip about the sale.
I enjoy what you do. Thanks and keep it up.
UA-cam seems to push everyone towards clickbait. Play the game, just do it in a tongue in cheek, nonchalant and post-ironic way.
I hadn't noticed the "click-baity" titles, so that didn't affect me -- but I do enjoy your content! One suggestion, though. Having decided to "buy you a cup of coffee" (which I hope you enjoy), I then look for the "thanks button down at the bottom of the video", and finding none, I then click "Show more" and scroll through the entire list of links below that; then, still finding no reference to thanks, or coffee, I then check through the entire list again (in case I missed it). Having then decided it's not there, I finally try (being very persistent) the inconspicuous looking little button with three little dots on it -- and I finally find what I've been looking for.
Probably just me being a bit thick; but the reason I persisted with the list of links is that I'd previously come across another UA-camr that put some sort of link, or reference, in that list pointing to how to "buy a cup of coffee" (and so that was kinda what I was expecting).
That was *slightly* annoying, though. And some others might give up -- or get fed up. Because if you refer to a "thanks button at the bottom of the video" -- it really should be there. It's not -- there's another button you need to click on in order to see it. If there was a link under "Show more" or just an explanation, that would help. Just a suggestion!
Bring back the Saturday speaker shoot out!
No apologies required. Enjoy how you present your ideas, and your sense of humor.
Love ya Randy.
Keep trucking.
Btw. I’ve been so busy with family that I haven’t taken my A. jones designed pioneer bookshelf’s outta the box yet.
get them out!
Thanks! I truly enjoy your channel as it’s not only informative but entertaining. I learn and laugh each time I watch. I understand that your comments are your own views but I’ve been able to apply much of your advice in my personal journey to achieve the best audio without taking a second mortgage out on my house.
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for the video! I’ve noticed the titles, but I just watch when it’s something cool for me.
Do you think Emotiva is going to discontinue the speaker line?
The B2’s are great! Thanks for the video on them!
You do what you gotta do Randy. Always enjoy watching your vids, Interesting info and your enjoyable to listen to.
Hey Randy - dude, I appreciate what you do, man! Don't worry about the naysayers, you've definitely been on the right track the whole time. I like your headlines or titles, never bothers me at all. Been watching you since the old days, back when you had a J-O-B, and congrats that you're doing well for yourself and doing what you love full-time. Your personality and occasional humor is fun to watch, and you seem like a likeable guy to hang around. Never stop being yourself. Who cares what anybody else thinks!? Don't know why anybody would unsubscribe, but I'd be happy to let them go!!👋
Appreciate all your advice, have bought a couple pair of speakers based on your reviews, which really helps when the 'good ol days' of listening to speakers in a store is almost non-existent today. Keep giving us more content, man. Stay blessed!👍
Keep doing what you’re doing , you have one of the best channels on UA-cam hands down!!!!
Been subscribed from the beginning, life needs humour man👍
My son has the Jamo S808 sub along with powered Klipsch speakers as a desktop setup. He loves it, Randy. Thank you for everything.
I haven't heard of Jamo In years I had a pair of compact 90's they could throw out a bassline.
I love your personality. We share the same humor and I love your cadence. I am a youtube fiend and your channel is my fav.
Nothing wrong with the titles or personality! Keep it up Randy
I have to say... I'm a subscriber and a Patreon supporter, but If I can't tell what unit you're reviewing from the title, I don't watch anymore. I just don't watch clickbait titles out of principal. I KNOW they're to drive engagement, I KNOW UA-camrs want us to 'CORRECT' their mistakes or tell you what we 'think' to drive engagement, and I don't want to play that game. I'll comment if there's an intelligent, genuine question asked. I'm at the point where I stop the video the moment the begging for clicks and subscribes start so if you put that at the end of your video, you're smart. You got me with this one. This one was totally clickbait so this one's a freebie.
I actually ordered an Elac Debut center channel yesterday to go with my 5.2s, and happily the sale was already on. Total coincidence.
(we'd been planning on getting one, but our TV didn't really leave a good space for it on its stand. A couple days ago, the TV died altogether and opted to mount the replacement on the wall. So now we have space for a nice solid center speaker)
I bought the Wharfdale Dentons on your review and I absolutely love them. They are on my 2 channel set up and my other 3 speaker pairs are collecting dust. Keep up the great videos.
Ngl, the 6.2s have been my faves and I appreciate the rec!
Don’t change anything! You be you ! Why your channel has grown so much !!
Wouldn't the world be boring if we all liked the exact same thing?
“That speaker resonated with me “. Nice pun.
Just orded the T1+ listed @ $499 with the first time discount @ $454 total including shipping from your recommendation. Can't wait to hear them. Thank you so much for channel.
The only concern I have is my bank account. You got me back in hi-fi. I was a crazy audio kid in my youth. I would stay up all night with borrowed speaker wire and electrical tape in my VW bug hooking up equipment that I have no idea where I got. I thought my mismatched gear sounded like heaven. Now, at 52, I’ve thrown thousands at equipment and I’m still chasing the audio rabbit. I’m not sure I’ll ever be satisfied. Maybe, it’s a ‘new gadget’ addiction. I don’t know. Anyway, please keep it up.
Agree that your thumbnails/headlines can be OTT once in a while (though I understand). Apart from that, your page has been helpful ever since you started. I own 2 products based on your impressions, and I'm happy with them. Keep it up.
Don't apologize. Don't change. Keep rocking like you always do.
I like your personality for sure. I wouldn't have subscribed if I didn't. I recently got back into audio and I searched for months to find someone that matched my level of enthusia$m for the hobby. Your the only audio guy I can watch on a daily basis.
You are wise to search yourself continually and to seek feedback from your family, but we love you and the way you approach audio, budgets, and finding our personal preferences. You rock! What doesn't rock is SithAudio. I am not buying anything else until they start sponsoring you again.
Nothing wrong with click bait videos as long as they're not misleading or over exaggerated thumbnails and titles like the content craters make for kids to watch. I think we all understand that this is your way to provide to your family and i think we can all respect that.
I’m glad to hear you and Z have the same opinion that lead 5.2 more likable than 6.2. I am currently listening to the emotiva B2+ I bought because of you mentioning the sale and your recommendation
I ordered a pair of B2+ with a 12" sub from Emotiva during the memorial day sale and the speakers are backordered for 2 months. It's going to be a quiet 2 months.
Thanks for all you do on this channel, I find the reviews really helpful and very well done. I saw a review a short while back on the Fluance Ai81 and was wondering if you have any plans on doing a review on the Fluance Ai61, would love to see that review.
Thanks for the update on Elac 6.2 it saved me $160. I had bought them based on your previous review and I am very pleased with them. Bought thru Crutchfield and they honored the price reduction. Very ethical as a company and they should be one of your sponsors.
I took your advice snagged a pair of Emotiva B1+ several months ago for $200.00 to use as desktop speakers. Couldn't be happier. Theres a reason they are sold out. Thanks man!
Randog…….no apologies necessary or needed fren…..you’re the man and forever that will stand. 💯
Are you saying that I won't save thousands on my auto insurance by buying these speakers?? J/K...Your titles aren't any worse than some of the other channels. Content is what counts and yours is quite entertaining as well as useful.
I do really appreciate your channel. It has helped me alot, thank you.
I will admit that some of the titles have turned me off lately. I am super sensitive to click bait.
I feel your passion for the product communicates the best. Maybe just title the videos how you feel about the product.
Like “I’d skip a few meals out and save up, good speaker”. Maybe your answer is already there. Keep going, you are doing great things.
Hi Randy. I got back into hifi and music listening after a 40 year hiatus because of your videos. You have nothing to apologize for and you don’t owe anyone an explanation. Let the complainers go pound sand. Thanks!
Excellent video, thanks for the information!
Just purchased the Emotiva T-O. Thanks for the advice Randy. Very nice bass and imaging. Only $350.00. Can't beat that price.
I would click on your videos even if you had no title. We share a common interest, and even though I don't plan on buying anything, learning about the products you share has my full attention. You offer incite, and that to me that is more valuable than BLINDLY buying these products. Thx for your time and, most importantly thx for your efforts.
Thanks! I bought the Airmotiv T2+ after your previous video about their sale and got them a couple days ago and they are AMAZE BALLS!
Glad you like them!
Thanks. I never thought you need that over exaggerated titles. Youre a great reviewer and fun like hell.
Damn you, Randall! You baited me hard, you baited me into spending money on a Geshelli Labs DAC JNOG2 with upgraded op amp! The only thing I can say is……. Thank you and please just keep being you!
Hi Randy, I just lost the comment I wrote because this page reloaded ahhh... It was long, I am lazy, here is the essence: since you asked - get out of your chair, show us the whole proces of connecting new speakers and your first reactions to listening to it and with some decent microphones the ambiance of the room - I know you cannot reproduce the quality through youtube - nevertheless I always like to check how thing sound even though I know the physics behind it prohibit you to have an accurate experience. As I wished you before, find the right balance between what the algorithm wants and your passion which cannot be faked. I love that you present the idea that you don't have to have the most analytical system to enjoy your music. I think these are two completely different things enjoying music and enjoying the technical part of it. Although both are fun, music bring joy even on worst of all speakers if you cannot do better.
A staring contest between you and OCD Mickeys brother would get more views than any click bait title. lol
You dont need to manipulate your viewers with clickbait titles! Your charm, good looks, witty banter and horrible taste in audio gear is plenty!
Much love to ya brotha! Keep up the good work!
ha
Thanks for your help. I ordered the LOXJIE A30 Desktop Amplifier, and felt pretty good about it because of your positive review. 'Tis appreciated.
Dude, anyone who has seen enough of your videos already knows that you are a humble, down-to-earth guy. The last thing I would say is that you try to mislead people. Sure, I do miss some of the early-style CAM video shootouts, but you and the channel have evolved. Keep up the good work!
I watched your channel regularly a year back when I was in the market for speakers and it was very interesting. I ended up with a pair of BW 602 S2 and am very pleased. So when you guide your subscribers to the speakers they want, you may be doing your job too well. But keep it coming - you are definitely right - there is no reason to pay more for audio than for a car.
Been here since the beginning and your vids and titles are great.
You keep doing you Randy! You're the first reviewer i subscribed to and led me to others in your profession. I think what folks gravitate to is your the every day dude like a bunch of us. Keep up the damn good work that you do!
“I owe you all an apology”
was a effective clickbait to me 😊
Don't apologize for being yourself. I'm assuming this is not acting here. You provide information and opinion in an entertaining fashion. That makes it something I am willing to spend a few minutes of my time watching. Thanks for what you do Sir!
I think all UA-camrs have a lot of competition so you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.
Looking forward to your review of the Jamo bundle.
Don't take someone unsubscribing personally. It just means that they bought a new amplifier. They'll be back to upgrade their speakers next Winter.
Thanks! I am entertained. And I have received value. Personally, I would like to see more of the ranking thing, but product specific (e.g., dacs, bookshelfs, etc.) not general brand.
wow! thank you so much
Just ordered the Elac debut 2.0 5.2 for 199 a few days ago, and an Aiyama a08pro… they get here tomorrow! wish me luck (I’m new).
Also, listen to your critics but don’t over focus on them. People complain. Be yourself bc that’s what got you success.
@cheapaudioman. Thanks for the vid. I am in the market for speakers. I am looking at that fine balance of budget/quality. I do have the klipsch rsx 5 series but am uncertain if they still hold any weight in todays world. They are old now, lol. I'm trying to decide if i can use the rsx 5's for PC bookshelf speakers at least or if its worth still using as a 5.1 surround sound considering the very cheap Jamo Series S series and the like. In your opinion would it be silly to replace the Klipsch RSX 5 series for a new cheaper set? Basically I just dont know enough to determine how antequated these speakers are and if there are cheaper alternatives that provide better sound as technology improves. Thanks.
Thanks
Here's my advice... Don't apologize for your 'take' on producing audio gear equipment reviews...!!! Let's face it... There are a good number of people out there who'd moan and groan that their ice cream is too cold...!!! March on Chaepaudioman...!!!
Your videos are great, and like you say, you need to experiment in order to make a living. Thanks again for everything 🤩
Yep, $192 refund on my Elac UCR52 from Crutchfield. Crutchfield is awesome and I was able to take advantage of their “60-day price-drop protection”!
bought my B5.2's two years ago based on your review (and after a lot of comparative research on my own), new for less than the current sale price. Loved them then and they have become richer sounding over time. thanks Randy
No changes necessary Randy. I bought the Elac 5.2's just as the COVID hammer came down, and they do definitely require a LOT of break-in. They were good at the start, but are awesome now!
I usually watch your new videos whether or not they are about gear that I am interested in. Keep up the good work.
Just sending love from the UK. Keep doing what you do.
Thank you! Will do!
I bought the Dayton Audio MK602X 6" 2-Way Bookshelf Speaker Pair $99.98 after the blow-it-up review. The speakers are excellent for TV, Thanks for your excellent channel!
Last I checked, Martin Logan 15i at Best Buy for 225.99 ea., PSB Imagine XB for $399 pr, at Crutchfield. Both nice options as well.
