my main gripe is the video player and layout funimations player was updated about 2 ish years ago and it was so good it was faster and the lay out on the app funimation showed you more at a glance
I constantly see people complain about Crunchyrolls site but I legit never have issues, I click on a an anime and bam, starts playing. I’ve experienced a crash maybe once, twice max in all the years I’ve used it. Was funimation like UA-cam good or something?
Funimation technically never sold digital copies, not by themselves. They were always a bonus after you bought the physical edition, though I guess some stores charged people more money to buy the two editions, but I'm not too sure about that
This is why I always try and purchase physical media. Music, games, etc. It's like a time capsule of sorts, in some cases. I bought daredevil seasons 1-3 on dvd at a comic expo. I kept getting, "but it's on netflix"? Welp, now it isn't. I don't pay for netflix, and I'm DEFINITELY not paying for Disney+. I mean, Disney+ started at $7.99. Now, it's like $13.99? Don't think I'll be using any streaming services any time soon. Never subbed to crunchyroll. Now I'm kind of glad I didn't. 😂
That can't be right. $12 dollars a year would be $1 per month. They're definitely not being that generous 😅😅😅 The actual price increase in the US has gone from $54 per year to $99 per year.
@@BubblesChika The reason for cheap in India is it has limited content compared to other country, less anime viewer they will just go for illegal website if its price high. what include in 999 rupee yearly plan are: - -Stream the entire Crunchyroll library ad-free and watch new episodes shortly after Japan* -Stream on up to 4 devices at a time -Offline Viewing -Access Crunchyroll Game Vault, a catalog of free games -$15 off $100+ purchase in the Crunchyroll Store every 3 months*
Don’t forget that another reason why Crunchyroll might have more shows and movies right now than Funimation is because for like 2 years now they have been getting new content while during that same time Funimation hasn’t been adding anything new to their platform.
The greed of all these streaming companies has gotten so bad now that nobody should feel bad or consider using piracy to be wrong anymore. Eventually they’re all going to raise their prices so high that literally everybody at the same time will end up canceling and only then will they realize how stupid they were.
I think it’s a case by case basis. I think a lot of people (who never pay for stuff) want piracy to seem “normal/ok” but in reality if EVERYONE pirated content, nothing would end up getting made. I think people should shift to support ARTISTS/CREATORS directly but even then, I’ve seen people pirate those works of art too. So I can see moments when piracy is warranted but I think a lot of people just want to steal content without paying…ever.
@@JUICEfromtheBOXv2 I get what you’re saying and you bring up some good points. I for one am not actually one of those heavy users of piracy and I do believe in supporting the products you enjoy so much financially but the problem is when it comes to the streaming services very little of that money that you give them actually goes to the original creator or the animators. That’s why you would want to buy the blu rays or their manga or light novels instead. The problem with the blu rays though is you would have to wait a significant amount of time after the new episodes have already been releasing so you risk the chance of getting spoiled and some people are anime only so they may not want to find out what happens in the source material because they’d rather find out by watching the anime. Also not everyone has the extra money that it would cost to buy all the volumes of the manga or light novel if they actually didn’t mind finding out the entire story that way instead of waiting to find out in the anime.
This is why i NEVER rely on Streaming for ANYTHING; If it's not physically in your hands you don't own it. Buying Anime can be expensive i get it, But if you want to watch your favorite anime over and over just Buy the DVD or Blu-Ray because it can be taken down from Streaming without warning
I like your EQ settings, many youtubers use a boomy EQ to make themselves sound lower pitched and more authoritative/trustworthy and it comes off as disingenuous. Your audio is great because I can turn it down low and still hear you clearly even on bad speakers.

Funimation currently has a total of 792 anime shows/movies. What’s the total number that Crunchyroll has that doesn’t include the Funimation shows that they already ported over?
Couldn’t tell ya about the duplicates but with a quick google search, this popped up. “Crunchyroll offers over 1,000 anime shows, more than 200 East Asian dramas in over 18 languages”
@@Seminooos no doubt they have duplicate anime on there (a lot of steaming sites have licenses for the same anime) but if where I got that information from is correct. Those numbers are from 2017, way before this merger happened.

There need to be a law where companies can't take away your digital media after you pay for it.
Or at least you get a full refund.
Funimation technically never sold digital copies, not by themselves. They were always a bonus after you bought the physical edition, though I guess some stores charged people more money to buy the two editions, but I'm not too sure about that
They should have sent blue ray without art or anything to people that bought it. And just make it a cool collectable

I agree
Funimation never sold digital copies, though. They added them to the physical editions customers bought from shops
