Now let's just talk about how good the actress who plays Win's mother is. The woman did an excellent job here. She really fooled us. Tbh I think her actions were the biggest twist in this series. But, at the same time, when you understand the culture and all mother's mindset, her actions make sense (they aren't right, of course, but that's definitely something even MY mother would do)
Facts. She really got away with murder. It definitely makes sense. Which makes the whole swapping of souls all the more funny. Mom, whole time, thinking Lin is catching feelings for Korn, and surprise! Beautiful twists indeed.
As much as I love and appreciate this series, this type of parental behavior has always been my pet peeve in dramas. I really, truly, honestly cannot relate. So much that I refuse to try to understand (I know it’s messed up). I think I’ve watched so many dramas with this type of behavior that I’m jaded and makes me bitter when I watch lol. My personality is the complete and total opposite. I don’t take anything with my head down. If my mother ever tried to pull a stunt like that she wouldn’t hear the end of it. I’m so sorry to hear that. I had that conversation with my 11 year old very early on. I refuse to be the parent that loses a child because she thought she couldn’t communicate with me. Sometimes parents have kids for the wrong reasons. Newer generations need to break this horrible cycle. We need to respect our children not feel entitled. Same boat here. My father actually went thru many lengths to separate me and my, at that time, boyfriend. It just wasn't an acceptable notion in my family. Now, almost 2 decades later, I'm happy and my children don't feel the scrutiny and disasters I went through, they are free to be themselves. It truly sucks that there are parents who would go through lengths, and then it is a marvel that other parents want to see their child happy, no matter what. Amazing world we live in. Yes, it may seem strange, but there are still some parents who will try anything, I mean ANYTHING, to have their children conform to their way or belief in what is an acceptable living. It would seem weird in this age, but sadly, it still happens.

I didn't expect that Win and Lin's mother will be the hidden antagonist of the story. She looks so kind and thoughtful to others but she has her own plan about the farm of the family....
Zero sympathy for this egoistic woman. How rotten must you not be to purposely hurt your own children (and manipulate a dying man, seriously?!). To watch your son live in anger and sorrow, knowing you were the one causing it. And not even when he almost died she felt any regrets. Still going on with that stupid engagement despite she know how much it must broke Win to be forced to see his loved one marry his own sister. And in the end when she finally realised she lost she decided to play the victim card instead. But Win did the right thing to forgive her. Not because she deserved it (h*ll no!) but because he deserved to move on and not let her ruin his happiness anymore.

I think the character of Win's mother really intended for Win to hate Korn. What she got in the beginning. But things got out of hand with the car accident. Suddenly, not only she had to see her two kids in the hospital (one of them being in a coma), but she also had to deal with that exhausting duo that came out of nowhere (and all thirsty for a fortune they didn't even help build, btw)! She sure saw how difficult things were getting, and was desperate to get Win back! After all, it was so much easier for she to have her way, with Win being around doing all the hard work and everything else! So, sorry, but I really don't see how she meant well with what she did! She was aware of everything that went on between her son and Korn, and yet, she kept with the plan to get Lin and Korn married (despite the fact that she actually wasn't even that fond of Korn, for the matter!). And for what, though?! In my view? It was to get the "option" away from Win! And not only out of just being homophobic, but also for the money and status! Which proved to be far more important to her by the way she manipulates her own dying husband (which, btw, I even think was kind of a crime)! Such an extremely toxic character! Even so, I kinda can understand why Lin and Win went so easy on her. She's the only parent they have left and all! But that doesn't mean I need to go easy on her character! Don't get her, and believe I'll never get her even when I become a mother myself in the future!

I'm glad (a bit) that the mother is NOT homophobic but more on believe what she saw. Atleast here, she seems to be more in shock than disgust learning Win and Korn like each other. The moment she gets reminded of when Win first drove away, I felt like she deserves (Sorry 😓) that hit of reality of how she has done things terribly with the decisions she made. The selfish decisions that pushed the others to make terrible decisions as well. Lin and the mother shouldn’t have talked to Korn secretly back then, knowing how Win is feeling. The mother shouldn’t have made Korn be part of the father's will. She could still get what she possessed. Korn shouldn’t have been giving so much signal and actually be a bit more straightforward to Win about his feelings once Win has calmed down and forgave him. Win shouldn’t have drove that night and let his anger got the best of him which got him and Lin in an accident. And lastly, Lin and Non shouldn't have tried to trick the mom into thinking Lin likes Korn, just to push Win to admit his feelings for Korn. Don’t use some psychology trick on a person like Win because the effect will be the opposite of it. I get why the mom made choices like that because she’s the kind of mom that is traditional, but she lived long enough to know and see that the world is changing and she shouldn't expect things like marriage after a few nights together, that just felt like they were having 7 night stands or something. Again, I understand her point of view as a traditional mother. But you can’t blame for being annoyed with her still 😓.

I didn't expect that Win and Lin's mother will be the hidden antagonist of the story. She looks so kind and thoughtful to others but she has her own plan about the farm of the family....
Zero sympathy for this egoistic woman. How rotten must you not be to purposely hurt your own children (and manipulate a dying man, seriously?!). To watch your son live in anger and sorrow, knowing you were the one causing it. And not even when he almost died she felt any regrets. Still going on with that stupid engagement despite she know how much it must broke Win to be forced to see his loved one marry his own sister. And in the end when she finally realised she lost she decided to play the victim card instead. But Win did the right thing to forgive her. Not because she deserved it (h*ll no!) but because he deserved to move on and not let her ruin his happiness anymore.
What the hell is wrong with the mum 😂😂😂 she’s literally the reason for everything but win would’ve never changed from his anger problem if this whole ordeal never happened
Never thought the mom would be the villain of the story, but all said and done Korn and Win are happy so I'm happy. What a beautiful series. EarthMix's chemistry is top tier🌹

I was shocked too. All of her actions made sense if she didn't know about Korn and Win's feelings for each other. With them switching bodies she thought her dream was complete. It's sad that she thought she had to do that to get what she wanted and hurt her children like that.

I really love their chemistry. After watching A Tale of 1000 stars, even though I didn't like the body swapping storyline at first they still justified that they're good actors indeed. No need for any bed scene fo make it worthy to watch. Everything is wholesome and feels good...

This hit home a little bit too much for me. I love the mothers acting in this and it just hits my heart a little bit too much.
I feel so clowned!! I was quietly thinking that maybe the dad had signed over 1/4 of the farm to Korn because he knew Win and Korn would not be able to get married and he wanted to make sure Korn was protected because he saw that they were gonna end up together, but instead it was the opposite and the mom convinced him because she wanted to keep them apart 😭

I think the character of Win's mother really intended for Win to hate Korn. What she got in the beginning. But things got out of hand with the car accident. Suddenly, not only she had to see her two kids in the hospital (one of them being in a coma), but she also had to deal with that exhausting duo that came out of nowhere (and all thirsty for a fortune they didn't even help build, btw)! She sure saw how difficult things were getting, and was desperate to get Win back! After all, it was so much easier for she to have her way, with Win being around doing all the hard work and everything else! So, sorry, but I really don't see how she meant well with what she did! She was aware of everything that went on between her son and Korn, and yet, she kept with the plan to get Lin and Korn married (despite the fact that she actually wasn't even that fond of Korn, for the matter!). And for what, though?! In my view? It was to get the "option" away from Win! And not only out of just being homophobic, but also for the money and status! Which proved to be far more important to her by the way she manipulates her own dying husband (which, btw, I even think was kind of a crime)! Such an extremely toxic character! Even so, I kinda can understand why Lin and Win went so easy on her. She's the only parent they have left and all! But that doesn't mean I need to go easy on her character! Don't get her, and believe I'll never get her even when I become a mother myself in the future!

I'm glad (a bit) that the mother is NOT homophobic but more on believe what she saw. Atleast here, she seems to be more in shock than disgust learning Win and Korn like each other. The moment she gets reminded of when Win first drove away, I felt like she deserves (Sorry 😓) that hit of reality of how she has done things terribly with the decisions she made. The selfish decisions that pushed the others to make terrible decisions as well.
Lin and the mother shouldn’t have talked to Korn secretly back then, knowing how Win is feeling.
The mother shouldn’t have made Korn be part of the father's will. She could still get what she possessed.
Korn shouldn’t have been giving so much signal and actually be a bit more straightforward to Win about his feelings once Win has calmed down and forgave him.
Win shouldn’t have drove that night and let his anger got the best of him which got him and Lin in an accident.
And lastly, Lin and Non shouldn't have tried to trick the mom into thinking Lin likes Korn, just to push Win to admit his feelings for Korn. Don’t use some psychology trick on a person like Win because the effect will be the opposite of it.
I get why the mom made choices like that because she’s the kind of mom that is traditional, but she lived long enough to know and see that the world is changing and she shouldn't expect things like marriage after a few nights together, that just felt like they were having 7 night stands or something.
Again, I understand her point of view as a traditional mother. But you can’t blame for being annoyed with her still 😓.

I don’t care about any of her reasons. She’s cruel and I hate her. I hate that her character is supposed to seem somewhat noble after she spend the whole series playing weak and naive. It’s bad enough to try to separate them but to force the whole family into heartache and misery for the rest of their lives because of her selfish scheme?! No mam. Just think if Lin and Korn got married and had kids. I want something bad to happen to the mom before it’s all said and done. I don’t believe she’s capable of loving any of these kids. Not Win, not Korn, and definitely not Lin. Lin was used as a pawn too!
Really can't get over what the mother did like it was beyond selfish and inconsiderate to BOTH her children and Korn. None of them deserved the emotional turmoil they went through because of her actions. If my mother did something like this, I'd never be able to forgive her. Such a huge betrayal of trust.
