@@WesDavis excellent! Ironically I just got back into WordPress last week. Thinking about doing a blog for now and then a few ideas for future online business! Really appreciate you making these tutorials and good information and I'll surely have more questions as I proceed. Definitely be in touch.
Wes, thank you so much this is a great tutorial. My site security was breached so I am going to rewatch the video and go step by step with you to set up this plugin.
@@WesDavis yw sure. Thx for asking, It went better than I thought and now I feel better with WF installed. In the WF setup, I selected the option to be notified when an IP has been blocked. I have received several alerts since. I need to uncheck that option but I have a question, is there anything I can do to prevent them from accessing my wordpress username which they have been using to try and sign in?
@@job6801 I think blocking their IP will help a lot, buy yeah... I can see that being an issue because they will keep locking your account. I will look later when I'm at my desk and get back to you 👍
@@WesDavis Thanks Wes. My account is not being locked but the email alerts show that several attempts have been made from different IP addresses and countries but they all used my correct username in their attempts to log in. Their IP address is blocked after 4 attempts.
excellent man, really usefull. i'm learning and I loved the good data here without all the typical tutorial bs. Thanks!
So glad I could help 👍
Countdown to the Wesness!! The live chat is giving me issues on my phone on UA-cam's end but all good. Thanks for this one!
Thanks for dropping in man!
@@WesDavis Anytime I'm available to watch live, I'll be here! Very good info, so far, btw!
@@420dAn Thanks! I really appreciate that. There's about to be a lot in this series. Super detailed / walkthrough style.

Love the level of detail here. I like how you show exactly what wordfence settings and configuration you use and why you use it.
This cleared up my questions about rate limiting. Thx
Very good work!
Thank you so much 😊👍

Thanks for the comment 👍 It can be hard sometimes after it's been compromised. Let me know how it goes!

Hi ... which is better ... All in one Security Plugin or free version Wordfence? Just starting out ... TIA
I prefer the free version of WordFence. Ever since I started using it, I've had no problems 👍 Just my experience
