I've been playing wheelchair basketball for the best part of 15 years (since I was 4) even tho I'm not a ♿user. I've been playing with some of my friends from primary /secondaryschool, college and work who are ♿ users, and I thoroughly enjoy it.
Great vid.. And after finding our how important the palms and finger tips are...Foss @markfossy is even more of a hero...he only has 2 finger tips! Respect Foss :)
Max Nelson some refs are super strict tho you'll get called if you even touch your rims a 3rd time. the ball has to hit the floor at least once per 2x you touch your rims.
Kewl Beans I agree, it sucks though when a ref mistakes a turn with the hips, or lower trunk as rim contact due to line of sight issues or whatever. Happens quite often to me. When I played in USA, the refs, I found to be a lot nicer and friendlier than in Euro.
I'm 42 sat in hospital after falling off a.roof whilst working. now.lost my right lower leg. I.need a future!! where tf do.I look for ♿ baggyball games to.play in England?!!?!!
i want to start this with .... i know nothing about basketball . next i am badly disabled . when i was at school . close as i ever got , i remember the teacher telling us that it was a non contact sport . years later i watch wheelchair basketball and GOD DAMN !!!!!!!! non contact my arse . i have seen games which had more contact than rugby ! any comments people ? Jess Gibbs I’ve just joined the sport and I’m wondering. Do you have to be disabled to enter into a wheelchair Basketball competition?
@@jordaorodriguez7133 Well yes
Great video and instruction. UA-cam is the closest thing we have to instant learning thanks to you. 🙏🙏
I'm not a permanent wheelchair user. But I have poor mobility. This definitely inspires me to use my wheelchair to play basketball.
Damn... these men and women are so strong... I would lose my mind and be in constant physical anxiety if I found myself in this situation..
Awesome job!!!…Congratulations!
Thank you for your support Harry Brown!

Très bien
I would love to try this out.... are non disabled folks allowed to try it? And where could i go to try it?
Non disabled people can play in local club leagues, in fact every club I've been in has had at least one non-disabled player.
Are you UK based?
Wait tho..

For Dribbling, U Can Just Push Twice Than Dribble Right?
Rules vary depending on location, but for the most part rusty is the rule :).

+Kewl Beans Where I play, in Finland, touching rim third time, even for turning or whatever will always be called travel. It's a bit insane :P

pretty sure that's standard rules...it's the same in the US. some refs are just bigger jerks about it.

Stoke Mandeville in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire is where it all started. I’d suggest starting your search there. Good luck.

Nagbasketball pa kayo! Wala pang travelling
Even *REAL* the comic about Wheelchair Basketball can't capture the fluid movements of the actual pro players of the sport
Feels bad that REAL is still on hiatus
isnt bro just constantly traveling ?
Where are his legs
His club are buying him in installments
He was probably born without them or he got in accident got him to cut them
