I was 14/15 when the original version released titled True by Spandau Ballet and it brings back old memories of what was going on around me. The PM Dawn cut could never replace the original version but it definitely refreshed those thoughts and connected me again with one of my favorite songs of all times.

Yup. I used to listen to it on the way home from Football practice in High School, which was usually in the evening. It was a great way to relax after such a tense activity. I associate it with the evening sun setting near the Golden Gate Bridge (three guesses where I'm from), which could be seen from my High School's esplanade.

My wife caught me smiling at a show we were watching one night. She asked me what was funny and I played it off and said this guy had said something that was funny to me. When I was 11 I dedicated this song to my Love Michelle. She broke my heart several times because I couldn’t compete with the older cool guys. I would sit and listen to this song on my Sony Walkman till the batteries ran out. Fast forward 30 years later she lives with a guy and has 4 kids and is struggling to survive in Los Angeles . I’m not a rich man but I married a beautiful woman and have 2 boys and own two homes and have 2 businesses . Life is trip 😔
