I don't agree with buying counterweight products but believe that, especially nowadays the price of Lego is pretty high for what you get and wish they would consider bringing the price down slightly. I think Lepin shows that a very large profit can still be made using the same plastic with very simmilar sets.

Also, people have their own decision. Cuz of money, some of the people says they want to buy fake Lego because it's to cheap, instead of original Lego, cause the original Lego is too expensive. So... I want you guys buy whatever you want. Where ever it's fake or original. We don't need war between legos

Comments are not "good" because it defend your cause and people buy what they want to buy it don't concern you at all. For exemple I buy fake nike cuz it looks the same but it's cheaper nobody cares of who earn the money.
But why can't I buy retired Lego sets from lepin? Lego doesn't produce them anymore, the only way to buy it is at a much steeper price from resellers and collectors. I think its fair to buy retired sets, Lego made all the money they wanted to make from it and not everyone can afford collectible prices for a set they want to build. It's not hurting anyone at that point. Not even collectors cause they never take it out of the box anyways.
What about Lepin Flying Dutchman set (lego dont have this set and no one else) its rly huge 4000 parts , thinking of buying this , (i have 9 lego technic sets, 2 from Cada - oryginal design , 1 from lepin - oryginal design and one from clementoni - made in italy) i dont bought any copy paste set from lepin but thinking abot buy their flying dutchman huge ship , i bet they dont pay for pirates of caribbean movie license but at last dont copy anyone, what u think should i buy it ? no one else have it.
Why you should buy Lepin 1. It’s cheaper 2. It doesn’t cost as much 3. LEGO is expensive 4. Lepin is much more affordable 5. You spend too much money on LEGO 6. LEGO costs too much
I would much rather spend a lot of money on LEGO instead of supporting some scummy Chinese bootleger who probably uses lead paint for those bootlegs. Also LEGO doesn't cost too much, because unlike LEPIN, they don't use cheap Chinese plastic and instead they use expensive plastic. Also LEPIN is MUCH MUUUUUUCH lower quality than LEGO and you could easily brake a LEPIN brick unlike LEGO brick, witch are really sturdy.
JamesC 1. It’s an ironic comment 2. These things have been tested left and right by anyone who’s not lazy for lead paint. Do you really still think there is lead paint there?
When I was a kid, my couldn't afford expensive Lego. It was considered very expensive in Malaysia, and it still is. But, thank God, they still had cheaper smaller models, and I managed to own 3 Lego set. The 3rd was the most expensive Lego I had when I was a young which was around RM50. The first 2 was RM25 and RM10. This was 25 years ago. Fast forward after almost 25 years, I just bought a RM800 Lego set. I will never buy Lepin even if I can't afford the original Lego. It is very unethical and irresponsible for people to buy Lepin. Supporting them is basically supporting theft and other crimes. So what if I can't afford expensive Lego set. Just buy whichever set you can afford. Be responsible people. When you can earn more, then buy the more expensive model. There will always be some new exciting sets in the future which you can buy.
I think a lot of the opinions here are based in, and I do not mean this in an insulting manner, ignorance of how business is conducted in places like Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Suffice to say it is a very interesting research assignment to anyone who wishes to understand the differences between business ethics and success in the East vs generally accepted business ethics of the everyday Western folk . However, in summation, companies like LEGO willingly trade the problem of knockoffs for cheap labor rates. LEGO is not a victim here folks. They fully know the game, have conducted a cost/benefit analysis, and trust me, they make the money. Many times the "knockoff" products are being produced in the same building as the "real" product. I always laugh at reviews of how the quality of bricks like Lepin are sub-par. Its just misinformation based on brand loyalty. Brand Loyalty is a psychological marketing marvel. People will do anything to justify that their purchasing decision is right based on the name stamped on it and nothing more. In the end, I personally will not spend 799.99 to open a Millennium Falcon, build it, and place it on a shelf to dust. I may purchase a 799.99 Falcon to keep in box and sell at a profit in 20 years. And yes, I would purchase a 219.99 Falcon to place in a coffee table and not let my kids touch. For me, its about my wallet. Others can do what they wish and I am in no position to judge. Its your money, do with it what you will.
Actually, that point is invalid due to it not costing more than 3K. In reality the highest ones I could find which was on Amazon that was not a ultimate was of course $274 and some change, Lego forever. By the way love the video, Keep up the good work.
I would rather buy a Lego City Garage 4207 rather than a Lepin set. I hate Lepin. I love Lego. Collected Lego since 2012 and hate Lepin with a passion. Lego is worth it 110% y'all Don't buy Lepin products
The guy talking about throwing your tea into the harbor is talking about the Boston tea party I am most likely late and it may have been already adressed
I don't have anything against or do I have a problem with your opinion, but I can't workout why you're bothered about viewers opinions if they disagree with your opinion? Does it really matter, this is your channel and you can post pretty much whatever you like, that's the beauty of UA-cam. So if you're getting upset with comments that are not related then you have an option to delete them, but to smash their comments over spellings, grammar and other small details is something else, they possibly might have a very limited amount of vocabulary in English. I hope the making of this video helped you, but upsetting former subscribers isn't going to help your channel. Btw, I don't thumb down videos, I just press next if it's not for my viewing. I just see that you're really angry and am just curious to why. Have a nice day and remember, that governments are a bizzzzillion times worse than fake LEGO!!!
Lenin is acutally embalmed (or his body is) in mausoleum in Russia, you never know, maybe they will auction him, lol. But seriously, I have not laugh so hard in a long time. Good job, Jack.
I understand your point of view. I sorta of agree with it, but when there is a set that you want but it is retired what do you do? You can’t do anything, but buy lepin. Which is better than not buying it at all.
Great replies to all the negative comments. You handled it with class and dignity....and a great sense of very dry humor. I'd buy you a pint for that! Cheers.
Got to give it to you Dr I also feel lego is the better product even though I believe it is expensive I still will be buying LEGO for my son when he is born and of the write age. Thanks Dr for highlighting different websites that can be used to get lego sets cheaper as well as highlighting the fact that if you collect them once lego stops producing that same product it will most likely go up in value.
Jake I learned a lot from you videos, don't listen to the rude people they don't know what they are talking about. They have no idea all the work that it takes to put together a product review site. Just clip them off Jake.
I don't mind new lepin said such as like new recent 2016 and 2015 sets but I would like to get some from 2007 to 2010 Lego sets because they're pretty expensive to get legitly on eBay so I rather get them from Latin
This video is great, I mean lepin completely rips off Lego, and it's far lower quality than Lego, I won't get salty at people who like lepin, just like, this guy is awesome
Lepin is not lower quality. And by the way, Lego ripped of their initial brick design from another company callede Kidcraft or something like that. Do some research before following blindly. Lego is guilty of theft as well.
Kevin Peterson Do your research. It’s ok to manufacture a different type of brick however it’s not ok to make sets based on the same thing as other companies do even down to copying exact designs. It’s not ok for companies to make products based on licensed products like Star Wars if they are not paying a license fee.
OMGosh, these people just prove that public education has failed them in just so many ways. LOL You do get what you pay for no matter what the product is or where it's made. Tell him the "Tea Party" thing was already done.
The Lepin sets I bought whilst in China were vastly cheaper than Lego (£40 instead of £500+ for 10210) and genuinely the clutch of pieces is better overall. The mouldings are a bit worse in some areas or particular bricks and that's about it. They've been surprisingly good quality with no missing pieces. I still wouldn't advocate others buying them, and wouldn't miss the company if they disappear completely but I can't moan as I got to build a couple of sets I'd never be able to afford or justify as official sets. And you look oddly like me so the haircut, beard, glasses are all fine.
It's a shame I can only Like this video once!

And yes, I would purchase a 219.99 Falcon to place in a coffee table and not let my kids touch. For me, its about my wallet. Others can do what they wish and I am in no position to judge. Its your money, do with it what you will.
If you can’t afford the original then you can’t afford to own it.
Actually, that point is invalid due to it not costing more than 3K. In reality the highest ones I could find which was on Amazon that was not a ultimate was of course $274 and some change, Lego forever. By the way love the video, Keep up the good work.
I love this channel! lol! You deserve more subs, Jake!
Glad you like the channel! I hope I keep making videos you enjoy!
I would rather buy a Lego City Garage 4207 rather than a Lepin set. I hate Lepin. I love Lego. Collected Lego since 2012 and hate Lepin with a passion. Lego is worth it 110% y'all
Don't buy Lepin products
The guy talking about throwing your tea into the harbor is talking about the Boston tea party I am most likely late and it may have been already adressed
I love you videos, keep on the good work!
The way you read that one comment. "I soobed". I haven't stopped laughing hahaha. Btw. I also "soobed". Love your videos, dude.
It was a Boston Tea Party reference
(The guy who said he wanted to throw your tea in the ocean)
The first time I saw lepin was when somebody destroy it and lepin is a WHOLE lot worse Lego
So if I say a rude comment then I get my comment in a video. Awesome, I just need to think of something mean.
Lenin is acutally embalmed (or his body is) in mausoleum in Russia, you never know, maybe they will auction him, lol.
But seriously, I have not laugh so hard in a long time. Good job, Jack.
Jake can u tell us do lego or lepin win?
Hey lepin is very bad quality toys and those haters r just mad that they got scammed
7:73 oh god you should have pinned that comment on the original video, it's pure gold
I do another trick to have a lego star wars ucs set.I buy the set parts and then download the instructions in PDF.(not written in the right order)
I understand your point of view. I sorta of agree with it, but when there is a set that you want but it is retired what do you do? You can’t do anything, but buy lepin. Which is better than not buying it at all.
mad genius
Check BrickLink that's where I go
Great replies to all the negative comments. You handled it with class and dignity....and a great sense of very dry humor. I'd buy you a pint for that!
Cheers.
Great video Jake. Your best and funniest yet. Keep up the good work
Thank you Graeme! That's very, very nice of you to say. Hopefully there'll be more funny videos to come
Got to give it to you Dr I also feel lego is the better product even though I believe it is expensive I still will be buying LEGO for my son when he is born and of the write age.
Rich or poor do NOT BUY THE SHIT HEAP SETS THAT Lepin has to offer
I like the Lepin Venator Star Destroyer though, but ONLY the Venator
OMGosh, these people just prove that public education has failed them in just so many ways. LOL You do get what you pay for no matter what the product is or where it's made. Tell him the "Tea Party" thing was already done.
New to your channel...love it! I agree with you 100%
Thanks Nestor, I'm happy you enjoyed it.
And with the ucs sets, they keep value or they get more expensive.
Not watching your videos is not an option they are ace and very informative, keep up the good work.
Wait so is LEGO looking to sue?
