    I just bought the moments replacing 6 year old Widex HAs. Sadly I hearing loss is to great for PureSound to benefit me. I’m glad to see you promoting Real Ear Measurement and speech in noise test and their benefit to the customer.

    Thanks for the infromation. Is the hearing experience improved by routing phone calls thru the hearing aid?

    • @ValueHearing
      @ValueHearing  4 роки тому +1

      Hi John, yes it is. You hear the caller in both of your ears (assuming, like most people that you wear a pair of hearing aids), the sound is amplified based on your hearing loss and the surrounding sound damped. Feel free to get in touch on our website (valuehearing.com.au) if you have any further questions, there is a chat function where you can talk to an audiologist instantly.

    I thought it was a well presented video that was informative and educational. I still have a pair of Widex Fusion 440 hearing aids that work well, but I'm researching the technology of newer hearing aids so that I might hear even better. Thank you!

    Love Widex! Especially for people who are big music listeners

      Agreed! The other manufacturers seem to have been working hard to improve their signal processing for music but Widex still appear to have an edge :)

    I have used Widex Beyond and Evoke, and wanted to replace before the warranty runs out. It was suggested that I try Signia because my hearing has decreased and it has more power. I much prefer the quality of sound with Widex, so I plan to try Moment. Which model would be best for severe hearing loss?

    Does Widex Moment 440 have rechargeable and throw away 312 battery feature ?

    Sorry to bother you with questions.
    I looked at the specifications for the Moment between 330 and 440. So the 440 has two additional options "" High-frequency boost "" and "" Smartwind Manager "" The latter is useful when running or walking in nature. And this is first written in the instructions "" "" High-frequency boost - Clear and crisp sound in high frequencies (in music, for example) "" "". Do you find the latter a very useful option? Will I better understand what they are saying on television or radio? I have a problem with that so I'm wondering, is it worth giving more money for the 440 model? I know you haven’t tested it directly, but you can probably ask your patients who have it. I would be very grateful.

      Hi Markic. Great questions. Reports from clients (and my own testing) suggest that the smartwind manager in Widex 440 is excellent. It's frustrating for us as clinicians as we find the 330 and below greatly inferior for wind noise reduction. We are really hoping that they start to drop their great wind manager down to lower levels soon!! With regards to the high frequency boost, our understanding has been that this is really just beneficial for clients who experience high frequency tinnitus. It is not aimed at improving clarity of speech. We will confirm that with widex and let you know if they have any new evidence to suggest otherwise. Hope this helps! It would be very useful for you to find out from your audiologist what your signal to noise ratio hearing loss is as well, that will greatly help with deciding the most appropriately level of technology for you.

    Thank you for this review. Request your opinion for a better options between Phonak P50 vs Widex Moment 220 for a 10 year old child with moderate to serve hearing loss, Currently using Widex Unique 220. Key requirement is sound quality. Battery life or Bluetooth connectivity is secondary. Many thanks in advance.

    this widex moment, can hear like normal people too? pure sound even in hard situation, more noise still you can hear and understand they say? Im in school hard to understand what people said, using widex unique by the way

    • @ValueHearing
      @ValueHearing  4 роки тому

      Hi Novdi, the best advice we can give you is to see your audiologist and ask them to perform a 'speech in noise' test. Based on this result, your audiologist should be able to give you advice on whether the Widex Moment (or any other hearing aid) is able to further improve your ability to understand speech in these more challenging conditions, when compared to your current model.

    Hi, Emma. Do you think that Widex Moment are suitable for peolple from severe to profound hearing loss? Accoding to the company's technical datas, yes. Does the device which has the Zerodelay technology , also has the WidexPureSound technology? From the comparison between two models of the Widex Moment (Mini Ric R V.2 P-Receiver vs Ric 312 D HP-Receiver) it seems that only the first has the two technologies. Tnank you very much.

    • @ValueHearing
      @ValueHearing  3 роки тому

      Hi Vasileios. I would definitely recommend these hearing aids for severe to profound hearing loss. The zero-delay/puresound technology is available in all the moment models. However, with a severe-profound loss, you don't actually need this technology, it is for those with low frequency hearing that is still within normal range or have a mild loss in this area. Hope that helps!!

      They each have their strengths and weaknesses. It really depends on your hearing levels and needs. Have you discussed this with an audiologist?

    I just upgraded to the Moment and I must say that I haven’t been too happy with mine. The Evoke seemed more seamless. For example, when I’m scrolling Instagram every video that pops up causes the hearing aids to make a static click and then the video will begin to play. When I listen to my GPS every direction there is a static click. My audiologist called Widex and they basically said it was a normal part of the Bluetooth (the evoke hearing aids never did this...) so, has anyone else had this trouble? If so, how did you fix it? I’ve already done the app updates, reset, saw my audiologist, etc. Thanks!

    • @ValueHearing
      @ValueHearing  4 роки тому +4

      Hi Allie, yes - this is a known issue, it certainly wasn't intentional. Widex are working on it and have estimated that it will be fixed in January when their next update is released!

    • @blainefrank9243
      @blainefrank9243 4 роки тому +1

      Yes I have the annoying click as well. Widex also default to speech streaming and you have to change to music which is annoying and you can’t change the default.

      Thanks @kaylasmusic. While there are now a couple of current hearing aid options that we would select from as more optimal for musicians, we tend to find that Widex is the most natural sounding and the most preferred by music lovers.

      @@ValueHearing Yes, I have tried ReSound and Phonak too but they were really bad,.. 1) my audiologist didn’t seem comfortable fitting them 2) they didnt even come with a built in music setting like the Widex does, and Widex definitely has the best sound.. No other devices can actually accommodate musicians like Widex. Those are one of a kind!

      Hi Anke, thank you for the feedback. We certainly don't want it to come across as an advertisement, so we will take that feedback on board for future reviews. Widex certainly isn't suitable for everyone, every manufacturer is quite unique, as is every hearing loss and person :)
