      Nope. As long as they have good head and neck support (5+ months) they can face forward. The x on the wrap that allows them to sit still allows the frog position. ergobaby.com/blog/2011/02/facing-in-facing-out-a-science-based-view-on-baby-carrying-positions/

      @@tandadj666 you are learning as a preschool teacher and nursery nurse in germany, Babys back facing your belly is the worst carrying position ever. For boys even more than girls. Think of the male anathomy and you know why.... In the long run, this type of carrying causes pain, hip problems and skullullis. You shouldn't do this. Als having the baby looking around like mad is a sign of overexcitement and not of interest in the world.

    • @nellybell6475
      @nellybell6475 5 років тому +6

      @@lilly7996 you are learning it as a nursery nurse, that it is the worst way to carry a baby. Years ago, some baby carrier manufacturers made models that were misconceived. But they are still sold today. And it is precisely such manufacturers that then write "This is not soooo bad". But that doesn't make it any better. Wearing it like that is clearly and proven serval times as wrong and even dangerous.

    Si sabes del uso de cargadores ergonómicos, deberías saber que la posición hacia el frente, además de sobre estimular, está pocision está prohibida ya que va en contra del porteo ergonómico adecuado, además de que un fular elástico para el peso de un bebé de seis meses o antes si su peso es mayor, no es algo correcto, este vídeo es un completo error, rompe toda función de un cargador ergonómico, dañando deliberadamente la cadera del bebe.
    If you know about the use of ergonomic loaders, you should know that the position towards the front, in addition to over stimulating, this position is prohibited since it goes against proper ergonomic carrying, in addition to an elastic scarf for the weight of a baby from the six months is not correct, this video is an error supplement, it breaks all function of an ergonomic charger, deliberately damaging the baby's hip.

      You should NEVER place your baby facing forward inside any carrier or wrap. It can do damage to their spine, hips, groin area and more. Plus, it can be extremely uncomfortable for your baby being carried like that. Think of it this way. Have you ever been in a harness? If so, it can be very uncomfortable. You are basically stuck in that position and your legs are soar because they can't move. Now think of your baby. If you would be uncomfortable in a harness don't you think your baby would be uncomfortable? Plus, your baby's face should ALWAYS be facing you.

      Don't do it... Causes hip and back problems for babies, those wraps weren't made for children to face forward, there is reason it's not writen in instructions with a wrap or carrier, probably even has a warning somewhere not to do it... Babies back has to be in c shape and legs in M with their bum lover than knees... Even ergobaby 360 that has that option doesent recommend more than half an hour for baby to be on that position, you don't have to belive me but spare time to check for instructions and fact yourself then

    I thought the reason you aren’t supposed to wear a baby facing frontward was because of strangulation but this is from a wrap carrier website titled, “9 reasons not to wear your baby facing out” and now I will not try to wear my baby facing out:
    Your baby’s upper legs should be pulled up to at least hip level, if not higher. This is possible only if the fabric in a baby carrier covers the whole back of the thigh to the backside of the knee, if the carrier has an adjustable seat, or if the carrier has footstraps.
    When your baby is facing forward with legs unsupported, it isn’t that his legs are simply dangling - his spine and hips are unsupported too and there is simply nowhere for baby to “sit”.
    Check out this medical research by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute and the infant biomechanics of different types of baby carriers. A baby carrier that supports the upper legs encourages proper hip development. Front facing carriers do not support little hips. Those babies already diagnosed with DDH should steer clear of front-facing carriers.

      @@antwoniqueknowles7899 all of the baby wraps state clearly that they are not for facing outward because the baby's weight is not supported by the thighs which could lead to hip dysplasia. Also on the youtube channels for mobywrap, boba, and egobaby they show all the proper positions that you can use. The reason none of them show this outward facing position is because they would be sued immediately for all the health issues they cause. check this link that includes all the details about safe carry. babywearing.co.za/babywearing-donts/

    The point of using baby wrap is to make the baby closer to you, and the most important is the M shape position, you are ruining your baby’s leg/crotch by doing that.

      Looking at UA-cam videos this is one of the worse. She needs to spread the cloth of the wrap out at the back otherwise you find it digs into you. The cloth needs to be spread under the baby properly as well so the baby is properly supported. Also depending on your hips and waist size/ shape you may need to tie the excess fabric slightly higher than she ties it. Also forward facing is an uncomfortable carry for some women and not recommended for long periods for babies.
