Well, I'M UPSET!! I'm about 30 mins northeast of where y'all were!!! I would have loved to have bought y'all breakfast or something and hugged y'all AND MET DJ!! I would have let him meet our baby!!! Dang it!!! And I sure hope you're not disappointed with Pigeon Forge. I'm not gonna say NOTHING. I'll wait till the next video and see what y'all had to say. I would have passed on by and went to Gatlinburg. But, maybe it's just me. No matter what, I hope you two enjoy it and have a great time!!!
We were just at the Barksdale FC and I view it as a ok overnight stop but definetly wouldnt want it to be a destination stop. For the price its hard to beat it for full hook up and way better and safer than staying at a walmart or cracker barrel parking lot for an overnight stop. On a side note I notice you guys have a new ram 2500 with a cummings diesel. Just to let you know there has been a recall due to a fire risk from a connector on models made from 2021 to 2023. Go to mopar and check your vehicle vin number. Thanks for the videos and stay safe!

We have never stayed in a military campground before. I appreciate y'all showing the military campgrounds. I prefer full hook-up so I can take long showers. I realize that many of these campground are not. That's OK. Sorry the food wasn't so good at the restaurant in Shreveport. I look forward to seeing what you do in Pigeon Forge. I love Tennessee. I hear you on the food - it's always been daylight and dark differences in LA food from the north part to the deep south. For the most part they don't season, period, in the north part. I am from Hammond and oh, my, the whole deep south part has the food right!! We don't live there now, but just got back from three weeks down there with family. I told them all I was going to eat was fried crawfish, boiled crawfish, fried catfish and beignets!! That was mostly what I did too - YUMMY😋 I can make all the other stuff myself - gumbo, etouffee, jambalaya, etc. We brought back frozen packages of crawfish tails. Y'all have a great, safe trip!!
Hey I lived at Barksdale Air Force Base for 4 years, I absolutely love it there! Watch out for alligators, they do have quite a few of them near the swamp area. Barksdale is a huge base.

Thanks for the video! Is access to military RV space limited to active/retired military or does that also include extended family? My son is active duty Army but I never served. He also does not have an RV, although plans to get one when he retires. Thanks for the tips about truck stops. We are tempted to use the trucker area but our rig is only 20 feet so we can usually fit anywhere. I also believe it is good practice to give preference to the truckers; they do this for a living.

I'm from New Orleans. Try eating at Pappadeaux Louisiana Kitchen. The one in Phoenix never disappoints. I didn't know about them when I lived in Houston. I'm leaving CA. Sunday and going to get my grub on in Phoenix at Pappadeaux. BTW we got a travel trailer because of you two and enjoyed two days at Huntington Beach City RV Park this week. Stay safe always!
Northern Louisiana food is not the same as Southern Louisiana food. It is a big difference. The Northern Louisiana people I know do not like spicy foods.
Did y’all get one of the diesel cards that gives you a discount per gallon? You set it up to be drafted out of your account. It can be used at Love’s and TA’s. Every little bit helps these days. ❤

North Louisiana (the Shreveport area) is not known for Cajun food. You have to go south for the good stuff.
