If your Android is signed in to your Google account, you should easily be able to locate your missing device using Google’s Find My Device system.
To locate your device through Find My Device, go on your computer or a friend’s mobile device and go to Google.com/android/find in your web browser. Then sign into the Google account you use on your Android. Select the device you’re looking for. You should see your Android’s location on the map on your screen. You will also be able to see your device’s battery level, and the Wi-Fi network it’s connected to if applicable. Use the options in the menu on the left to play a sound, lock your device, or erase everything on your device. If you choose to play a sound, your device will sound for 5 minutes, even if it was set to silent. Hopefully with the sound and location information, you will be able to locate your missing device.
That’s all it takes to locate a lost or stolen Android device.

Except you need the device in your hand to verify your account before they let you log in so it's basically 100% worthless
did you turn on two factor authentication?
If two factor authentication is enabled then just buy a new sim with the same number and verify from another phone with the same sim card

YES! That's exactly why I came to this video. I couldn't believe this was true. I couldn't log in on my wife's phone to find my phone because it sent a verification message to my lost phone! Mind blowingly insane😮
So, if my phone does not have location services on, I wont see its location and I wont find it. :) Video title does misleading.
This really does work - I did not have to have the device in hand to verify my account. I went to my computer to the site and since I was already on google it just pulled the find my device info and started searching for it. I took a friends cell phone with me to the location and called her and asked her to play the sound button from my computer (which is an option if your phone is set to silent) and low and be hold I found it. Thank you for creating this youtube.

If you're out hiking in the mountains where there is no data and you realized you had dropped your phone somewhere. Then you're jacked. The best you can do is if you had a smart tag or tile then back tack and try to Bluetooth alert your phone.

Hi, i did this. But it only show , last seen 7 hour ago. And it not detect the location . Or the reason might be because i change to new phone? And use the same number? Just different sim card?
Thank you so much!! Found my phone using the Find My Device on map. The GPS location is not 100% but 60 feet away from the location indicated on Google. My phone drained of all battery by the time I went back in the morning to locate it.

It worked and i didnt have to verify the account. Logged in a computer, played the sound and found it in the woods. Pretty cool, thanks for posting this. I did have location and mobile data ON. Dont know if thats relevant.

@@yadnikmali8345 you can't locate it. I mean, maybe there is a more shady way of locating it without using the official finders but I have zero knowledge in this area. If data is on, you can still make it ring for 5 minutes, block it and make a message and phone number appear on the screen, or erase everything. If you erase everything, you won't be able to locate it anymore even if location is on.

I knew about this before and tried 😢 it only works if the phone is on mine was stolen and switched off within minutes I couldn't try any of this by then does anyone here knows any tricks or tips for a phone that is switched off

Not stolen it's somewhere in my home I shut it off battery was low so I shut down forgot where I last put it the phone is here in my home Any suggestions Thank You

I tried looking at find my device it gave me a location but the people at the house said they don't have it, then i checked it again and it said "location unavailable" i don't know if it's shut off or the battery died, i need help i still want to look for it i don't know where else to look
Sounds like potentially the person lied to you and then turned off the device so you couldn't see the location. You could maybe try contacting your local police for assistance.
