I remember seeing the news break live when it happened, I kept a close eye on it for update after update. I respect Fujimoto using his skills to honor their memory with such a beautiful story
Sitting at 4+ rewatches myself, mainly due to editing it, but every single time I cry when we hit the final montage stretch with Kyomoto's smile... that just hits me like a train!
First time seeing your channel, great reaction! Really enjoyed the commentary. Very well spoken!! Also, not sure why, but fujino and Kyomoto ship name is literally the author name: Fuji - Moto lmao
Hey, thank you very much, I'm glad my commentary was well received! I love to talk about the stuff I watch, sometimes I go overboard, but I can't help gushing! XD Hope you stick around, if you like my style of reactiond, but for awhile, I won't have a crazy amount of videos coming out on UA-cam as I'm playing catch up with backlog and paying bills IRL I believe I saw a comment on a different video that mentioned that fact, it's very cute that he worked his name into the MCs and made it a ship name!
Haha thank you, I tend to get really attached to characters and show I watch, so this isn't the first time I've bawled on camera & it definitely won't be the last time! 🤣 Thank you for your support & comment, I'm glad to know people appreciate my commentary! I love film too ❤
Had this come up on my recommendation and have to say this is one of the best reaction to the movie. You immediately understood and figured out the movie (which I guess the movie's plot is quite predictable but it works) and had some really good commentary. Glad you enjoyed the movie! And yeah, we be ugly crying to this media 😭
Hey, thank you! I appreciate the kind words so much, it means a lot to me... I'm glad my reaction & commentary are worth it, I had a lot of fun with this movie (even if it destroyed me emotionally), and it makes me appreciate Tatsuki Fujimoto way more as an author now. I hope we'll see his other oneshots be turned into films someday, especially since "Goodbye, Eri" is supposedly leagues above Look Back! And hey, even if I could see the "writing on the wall" about what was coming, it certainly didn't lessen the pain or my personal enjoyment! I don't hate "predictability" in stories as much as others do, cause what truly matters is the overall execution... and that usually comes down to the writing skills of the author. (Plus, I have a tendency to make wild guesses that are somehow insanely accurate or completely wrong lmao)
I found that detail to be pretty cool, not gonna lie! Plus he wanted to write about the Kyoto Animation tragedy, to honor the lives lost as best as possible with his skills. I love this movie so much!
I feel the same, I wanted only happiness and success for Kyomoto, so she could continue to help Fujino, the "light" of her life who inspired her passion for drawing. I also see their situation as Fujino was always pulling ahead, improving her skills, speed, and story as time went on... while Kyomoto was struggling to keep up with Fujino's pace, she started to "fall behind" (the metaphorical "hand slip" from their grasp) and that terrified her. She wanted to keep up with, and very likely, walk side-by-side with Fujino. She wanted to become a true equal with Fujino AND to be able to draw much faster, so it'd never feel like she was "holding them back" production-wise, which was notable source of insecurity/anxiety for her... I love how deep these characters are & it's only a 58 minute film, Fujimoto-sensei outdid himself!
@ I cried with joy that you found this film and watched it. And I cried again because of how wonderful this film is. Thank you soooo muchhhh!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I'm so glad I got the opportunity to watch this movie & share my reaction/commentary with everyone, it's a heartbreaking experience but fantastic nonetheless! Thank you for your support with this reaction!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my reaction! I am not afraid to cry on camera & this movie was incredibly painful, I'd probably cry even harder in theaters if I saw it there!

In fact, 36 animators died in the Kyoto Animation Incident due to arson.
This movie is a requiem for them.
R.I.P.

Thanks! I won't have super consistent content for awhile but I wanted to share this reaction as soon as I could!
When you realize both of their names together put fujimoto it’s really cool I think he’s trying to express himself in these 2 characters

もらい泣きしました
Same here, I was very emotional!
