These 'Blake Builds a Bike Cave' videos are absolutely fantastic!! They're so good that I'm having an identity crisis as a Mountain Biker, as I'm hanging out for these episodes more than any others on GMBN or GCN!! Spectacular job, Blake! And... You're right... It's all about the cake!
I wish I was this cheerful. He might not be the best caprenter who ever lived, but he's doing his best and the finished work speaks for itself. Huge inspiration for me to help my dad renovate his workshop this summer.
The only thing I don't understand is how he calls his wife "The wife". I know it's a commonly used English phrase, but it feels kinda derogatory. Maybe that's just me.
Can we get a clip of Blake doing what his character is doing in the animation? Just him waving his drill around smiling, dancing etc... just seems like a Blake thing to do.
Hi Blake. I’m a carpenter and joiner with over 20 years experience and I have to say you are doing a lovely job man! I know lads who have been in the trade years who couldn’t do as good! God bless you and all that sail in you dude!! 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hey Blake & GMBN, just a suggestion, you could put a small piece of carpet in the corner of your bench for when you are working on your bike and working with delicate parts. Thanks for the vids love them & keep it up,
Absolutely loving the progress of this build..the amazement on Blake's face doing carpentry is motivation enough for anyone to have a go, creativity is endless!! Charlie is going to be a character following your footsteps 🤘
Giving me a lot of inspiration for a garage build once we’ve had some building work done... I’d be tempted to give all the wood a coat of clear varnish. It will bring the “grain” out of the wood and seal everything nicely. Definitely the work top as that’s going to need something to help it last and repel oils and liquids 👍
Biggest recommendation I'd make is; build a pair of garage doors! A good pair of doors in place of that flimsy up-and-over thing will revolutionise the way you use the garage and will gain you a load of usable wall space!
“I still don’t know how to index gears.” 😂 My lockdown project is a 26inch, 7spd cafe cruiser and I’ve gone with a friction thumbie because I can’t index gears.
Damn, people actually watched this and gave it a thumbs down? I feel so sorry for those poor souls. I could watch this stuff everyday. Blake is a legend! His enthusiasm is contagious and you can tell how genuine he is. And the man's got some serious skills.
I'm interested to see how you hang your tools. If you weren't considering it, you may replace the OSB with pegboard (you already have the gap behind it). It's the best since you can customize it endlessly with hooks of all shapes and sizes and move things around without any problems. It's looking awesome!
was expecting to see that biscuit break off into the cup at 6:34, haha. never a good time. also love the pushbike rack on your motorbike, something i gotta set up on one of mine at some stage.
Blake you should put a top on your counter, it looks like some little stuff can fall through, plus if you spill any liquids it is going to drip down on your stuff below. Plus you should paint everything ( when you can ) it will protect the wood and if you use a light paint it will help brighten things up, with the lighting. Love the build episodes and your son has the same look as you when he eating cake, the almost Scooby-Doo reaction to Scooby-snacks.
Hey Blake nice to see you making the most of lockdown. Proper cave isnt it! Lighting and white wall paint really transform caves into semi professional workspaces. Storage space is also key in tiny spaces, are you also going to use the space above the gas meter for longer/inconvenient/longstay storage? Oh and one last tip ... Bins n baskets mate! Never have enough of Them :) especially see-trough and labeled ones, bet Doddy would be jeaulous. Houdoe! From the Netherlands
Nice job Blake. Don't forget some good lighting. You can never have enough light when you doing work late into the night. Also dont forget for some vibration and sound insulation for the compressor area.
Great build Blake, you are a true inspiration!! For safety may I recommend that you indicate where the gas pipe behind the tool wall is, so you will not mistake when you screw in tool holders.
Love this build series. My fiance and I are closing on our first house at the end of May! Couldn't have better timing, the garage is not finished and thats all I've been thinking about! Love the energy, love the humor, you are the man.
The cave is starting to look really dialed Blake. Makes me wanna finish mine completely and send it in to GMBN Tech! Btw, my first motorbike was a Honda CB 650 from -82, nice engines in those CB:s!
This is a mega DIY build Blake, you are doing a gr8 job mate. I see a few comments about security of the garage door and those old up and over doors are crap. Obviously you can spend and spend on New doors, alarms etc!! but we all have our limits. I fitted Enfield garage bolts on the base of my doors they don't cost a lot and I think provide a pretty good level of security.
Fantastic build. Maybe round of the work top corner by the two cabinet. Can cause lot of bruises on your hip and soon it's on little man's eye level. Also I'd think a good seat somewhere for your son. He'll sit there happily And watch you fiddling on your bikes.
TBH Charlie's entry is well damn useful... One thing I should consider for my own bike cave (once I build one) is that it should be child-friendly, with primary focus on safety, for anyone visiting/using the cave.
Nice job man. I would suggest you to mark the gas line on the wall board so you won't break it after few years and forgetting it's there. Also why not use torx screws for building stuff so you would not round any screws even if you need to undo the for some reason. Inspiring work mate. Making me rethink of my plan for my bike cave :)
Poor Charlie! He helped you drawing the cutting lines and you stole his toys!🤣🤣 Never thought it would so entertaining to build a bike cave... I want a house to be able to build my Mo's Bike Cave!!
This series is great. Build a covid campervan this year and great to see your similar experience. Lots of fun, mistakes and (hinge) frustrations. Plan for this spring is to build mountainbike drawers and to buy a mountainbike 😅
Hey @jessehup, Blake is currently building the dream mountain bike van, which he's turning into a bit of a campervan. Episode 1 is here: ua-cam.com/video/GCmeWgHVZI0/v-deo.html Enjoy!!🤟
BLAKE YOU ARE SUCH A COOL DAD! Any other dad would FLIP if their toddler went into the work garage with a bunch of dangerous stuff and started scribbling on the wood Can you be my dad Blake?
Currently obsessed with Man/ Bike Caves in these lockdown times.....Seth from Seth's Bike Hacks has a lot to answer for ! Keep the prime content flowing please GMBN !
Really enjoying the build. - great stuff Blake. 👍 looking forward to the bike storage - I have a small shed with four family bikes to store as well as garden and tool stuff. I’m on lockdown bike rack build v6.1 and still can’t find a compact solution - bikes are a real pain to store. - those handlebars!. Need another shed. 😀
Great build, Blake! Have you considered cabinet door hinges that slide or flip up horizontally for the overhead storage unit? Banging your noggin against open doors wouldn't happen. Cheers!
Blake seems like the most chilled out dude ever. Digging this series 🤙🏻🤙🏻 been renovating my garage as well while being on lockdown and love the cupboard ideas. Keep it up ma dude 🤘🏻
Blake please dont put your arm or hand in front of your chisel. If your chisel shoots out you will cut your arm. Ive been there not fun. Bikecave looks great keep up the good work.
Blake, you could have made the wall unit with hinges at the top - to make gull-wing doors to get them right out of your way. Although you'd probably need handles on the inside so that you can close them 🤔🤣
blake is honestly one of the best dads alive
He spent 6 days in the garage and stole his toys. Honestly?
Yeah but he stole his boy's logs
Imagine having Blake as you dad you would be so lucky
Peter 4523 they are probably ones he didnt play with so he just used it
Facts
Brake levers as door handles 🙏
Yesss! That the idea mennnn
Lol
Haha
Or old grips
I love how UK youtubers tend to play drum and bass in the background. It's a very underappreciated genre in North America
The bike cave is looking sweet.
Just dont drive a screw in to that hidden gas pipe buddy!!!!
My thoughts exactly lol
So glad someone said this
Never mind Blake’s building skills, did you see that Victoria sponge? Mrs Blake is the true hero of this build! 👍

I mean, does he ever STOP waving and dancing and smiling? Lol
Best thing gmbn have ever put out, Blake’s carpentry skills are actually on point
Hi Blake. I’m a carpenter and joiner with over 20 years experience and I have to say you are doing a lovely job man! I know lads who have been in the trade years who couldn’t do as good! God bless you and all that sail in you dude!! 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Man you are a trip! I have to say, someone who has never done carpentry work you sure have lots of tools and plenty of skills. Doing a phenomenal job.
Hey Blake & GMBN, just a suggestion, you could put a small piece of carpet in the corner of your bench for when you are working on your bike and working with delicate parts. Thanks for the vids love them & keep it up,
Most likeable person, crazy creative and at the moment my favourite series. Keep going
He used his sons toys to build a shelf 😂😂👏
100% Hahahaha
Payback for the Picasso
Thank you Blake for sharing your family with us. Mrs Blake and your son seem amazing.
blakes quote of the year: "welcome back you beautiful people"
Wouldn’t be a gmbn video without it 😂😂
@@olliefranks2341 Sadly I ugly people are not welcome back. :(
Mersuharrastaja 😂😂 I’m screwed then
more like of the century
Yes
Blake is possibly my favourite presenter of all time. Not just for GMBN, but for all of UA-cam. No lie.
Absolutely loving the progress of this build..the amazement on Blake's face doing carpentry is motivation enough for anyone to have a go, creativity is endless!! Charlie is going to be a character following your footsteps 🤘
Blake’s Bike Bunker is shaping nicely. Huge reorganise of my shed inspired by this series🤘🏻

More videos with "Little man" ! We enjoyed, thanks! I LOVE IT!

Andrew Kirk sounds like a really cool bike
Damn, people actually watched this and gave it a thumbs down? I feel so sorry for those poor souls. I could watch this stuff everyday. Blake is a legend! His enthusiasm is contagious and you can tell how genuine he is. And the man's got some serious skills.
I could watch this build videos everyday. I didn't know that he's a well craftsman. Damn, Blake. So much talent.
It would be awesome if you install lights under the new shelf you buildt in this video so you have a good lighting on your tools under it.
First thought about it.
Yeah build in a way when you open the doors it will come on, and turn off when they are closed.
Man, I love this series, I'm always checking the GMBN channel to see if another episode has released. Keep up the good work Blake
Blake is like the most humble and joyful person out there. Keep it up, Blake. Your videos make my days! Cheers from Germany.
I'm interested to see how you hang your tools. If you weren't considering it, you may replace the OSB with pegboard (you already have the gap behind it). 4:22 mini Blake entertaining big Blake. Love it man. So cute!!
This episodes are only getting better and better!! Coolest bike cave ever! Stay cool!
I just love these. So therapeutic. More Blake Builds please. Boats, Bridges, Batcave!!!!🤓😂👊

Perfect spot for a TV, mount it on the front of the gas meter cabinet! It'll use the space nicely.
Awesome project 👌
What a happy fella! He should do this more often
Such a ledge and an awesome watch Blake even the missus sits and watches and loves your carpentry skills looking forward to episode 4 🤘🏻🤘🏻
At this rate I hope the isolation continues. Came over from GCN Show as wretched roadie, but I'm a sucker for shop projects.
Looking forward to more!
Blake the display shelves are McGuiver level quality! Fair play mate. This is so cool.
Stainless steel worktop cover would be epic as a long term plan. We did our kitchen with it for under £150 and it's amazing. Easy to clean as well 🤘
For somebody who claims not to know what he's doing at every step, Blake is quite skilled at all this.
Love this build series. My fiance and I are closing on our first house at the end of May! Couldn't have better timing, the garage is not finished and thats all I've been thinking about! Love the energy, love the humor, you are the man.
Hello Blake! I see that you are local round Bath and Winsley. I saw you out at Warleigh Woods today in your Jeep! Keep up the good work!
The cave is starting to look really dialed Blake. Makes me wanna finish mine completely and send it in to GMBN Tech! Btw, my first motorbike was a Honda CB 650 from -82, nice engines in those CB:s!
This is one of the most entertaining videos i have ever seen. Blake has such a great spirit and the kid is so cute🤣🤣
OMG you have me in stitches. Keep em coming dude. You should call it Blake’s Big Beautiful Bike Barn
Thats awesome seeing you getting it done with your wee little man charlie lending a hand.. good job!
love the missing finger in Blake's character... proper carpenter!
Lighting, lighting, lighting...create ambiance with some indirect light! It will make your tea and biscuits time even better 🍺
Just bought an GMBN metal mug based on Blake's impromptu home commercial. I got a hat too while I was at it. Keep making these types of videos please.
Thanks Ben! Will do!
Great build series Blake. Do make sure you have easy access to the gas isolation lever.👍
This is a mega DIY build Blake, you are doing a gr8 job mate. I see a few comments about security of the garage door and those old up and over doors are crap. What a fantastic video!! Cake, tea, little man, good lady and Blake's enthusiasm!! Awesome!! Giving me loads of ideas for my new bike cave!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻❤
It's looking really good Blake. I really like that little corner shelf.

Blake is actually Dad goals. 👍

This is my favorite series!!
Knods for all the drawers 👍 and also love the shelves ❤️ I've never seen it before 😂 looking forward on the next episode 4 👍👍👍
Looks amazing Blake! Hope that electric box doesn't get too hot to be enclosed like that. Keep it up!
YAY PART 3 MY FAVOURITE 15 MINUTES OF THE DAY

Currently obsessed with Man/ Bike Caves in these lockdown times.....Seth from Seth's Bike Hacks has a lot to answer for ! Keep the prime content flowing please GMBN !
Love watching. Keep on keeping on my man! You're an inspiration to us all!
Mark on your tool wall where that pipe is, don't want to be drilling a bracket into that!!
Little man is growing so quick!
Really enjoying the build. - great stuff Blake. 👍 looking forward to the bike storage - I have a small shed with four family bikes to store as well as garden and tool stuff. Would love to see some old Bike Stuff used as handles for the Doors😍Brilliant Video👍🏼keep on😀
That is definitely happening on mine 👍🏼
Really want to do something like this when I get a garage! You should look into using french cleats for movable storage of all sorts.
Dude love that you pulled in the family! your kid is so freakin cute!
Great build, Blake! Have you considered cabinet door hinges that slide or flip up horizontally for the overhead storage unit? Banging your noggin against open doors wouldn't happen.
Cheers!
Love this little series. Blake is the best👍👍
love this series this is whats keeping me going through isolation
Great, so many ideas for me!
Thanks for the family side coverage. Happy wife happy life.
Blake seems like the most chilled out dude ever. Digging this series 🤙🏻🤙🏻 been renovating my garage as well while being on lockdown and love the cupboard ideas. Keep it up ma dude 🤘🏻
this inspired me to start building my own bike cave. also Blake maybe put some handles on the doors to make them easier to open

@@shodid did not notice that thanks
I'd never get away with it but I'd happily fit out my kitchen in exactly the same way if I could! I need to sort out my garage first though : )
Blake please dont put your arm or hand in front of your chisel. If your chisel shoots out you will cut your arm. Ive been there not fun. Bikecave looks great keep up the good work.
