Thank you! I mean you summed it up. I just can't work full time and make that word count. I'm sure there are plenty of folks who can but I don't want to make it a chore. I do want to challenge myself but I'm definitely shrinking that word count down.
I'm not doing NANO this year for a number of reasons. First thing is I never felt a real connection with the program, I did complete the challenge twice in the last ten years so I was proud of that. But I've decided to distance myself from the organization as I don't feel comfortable with some of the things (aka drama) that happened with them. When I am writing I can easily write 1000 - 2000 words in an hours time. I'm a stay at home mom so I don't "work" but I have all the household duties and errands to keep up with so at times it is a challenge even to find an hour but when I do it's great. Of course those words written aren't final draft good but it's getting the story out of my head and then editing me can make it all work. Challenges I'm doing instead are: Kate Cavanaugh's 100k in Q4 (so 100k between Oct 1st and Dec 31st) I'm sitting at 22k for october Sarra Cannon's Rough Draft Challenge for November and I chose the 50k Goal for the month.
You're not alone Charlotte I've dropped nano completely it wasn't jiving anymore. My state's liasion left the org and the group changed names and changed it up this year which has ended quiet a lot more fun and choosing own wordcounts. Which can still 50 k if one wants. All year for me is just chaotic. lol
I wrote 1k a day last month and this month I'm doing the same. Some don't like the daily wordcounts and some do. It is perfectly okay to even set smaller wordcount goals.
🖊️⌨️ glad you're feeling better, another enjoyable video 😊
🖊😊
I'm doing NaNo, will definitely be looking for another writing challenge in a couple of months because they really seem to work for me
