For those who haven't followed Vpro, Look for "The Last Armenian" and I think it was "Yerrvan to Sochi" or part of the Sochi series. Find the video where he travels to the Border of Turkey and Armenia, then listed to the old Turkish gentleman describe the Armenians across the river....
Yep..... modern day architects are the enemy. They should be outlawed globally. As the man said: "old buildings are best". Nice documentary, but a bit absurd.
as someone who has worked in architecture, I agree, but, also, I don't think doing things like globally banning them is a good approach. I think communities need to emphasise more on what they like and don't like, and people need to consider beauty and consideration and care over the need for things to happen immediately... which is mostly the reason why such fast paced shitty architecture gets made in the first place (because of extreme time limits and lack of design openness).
Wonderful reporting!
Moron
The camera work was decent, the topic focus not so much.
Very good. Bram should do a South Caucasus series: Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Judging by this, he's not really qualified.
Thank you for this documentary that's why I gave a thumbs up,

Goe gedaan, jochie!
Your driver friend is right about the ugly new buildings in Baku. Same in London. Black glass & concrete, monstrously dwarfing the older buildings.
Wow..

Brunelleschi is dead my friend, your idea of outlawing is totalitarian.
