Explosive Detection System deployed by DHL Express Pakistan

DHL Express has recently invested over 1.2 million Euros in two state of the art Explosive Detection System (EDS)/X-ray machines from SAFRAN Morpho (CTX 5800) deployed in Karachi and Lahore Gateways. DHL Express is the only company in Pakistan to invest in such advance security screening equipment. These new systems use the cutting edge computed tomographic (CT scan)
technology. It has one x-ray generator with a rotating gantry providing a three dimensional view of the shipment being screened including identification of concealed cavity. The Explosive Detection System (EDS)/X-ray machines also matches the density of the shipment contents with all known explosive types assisting the screener to identify potential threats in the form of explosives and other contraband items including drugs. This advanced screening machine can slice and dice the scanned image into more than hundreds of pieces, enabling the screener to screen the minutest detail of the shipment contents.
