I grew up watching and loving anime of all kinds i was 17 when this came out i loved the video because of the message it sent. Its a masterpiece in my opinion
The amount of people who completely miss the point of this video is sad. TLDR: Real relationships can be complicated and difficult, but they are always more valuable than the fake relationships given to you by pop culture. Those aren't real and only exist to take your money.
Ironically, I discovered this animation in middle school, just around the time I developed a porn addiction. I knew about ME!ME!ME! from a UA-camrs React video that featured Markiplier. Despite my struggles starting to take form, I still took it as hentai; exactly what the message is against. Fast forward to today, I continue to fight my porn addiction, and I think that ME!ME!ME! was so far ahead of its time. Porn addictions, from what I've seen, are not discussed enough or taken seriously, but this animation summed it up perfectly. The dopamine abuse, the pure female adulation, the post-nut clarity, the female beauty standard being the main villain, the attempts to overcome addiction, a relationship getting ruined. Literally flawless, and everything that happens in real life. There are SO many people out there going through the same thing as Syu. Despite my struggles starting to take form, I still took it as hentai; exactly what the message is against.
