I love how even the filming adds to the realism by looking like a vlog style movement

Hey, when the twilight pack comes out you can add the red fox, striped skunk, and raccoons in that zoo of yours.

Man, this is a masterpiece. The reptile house, welcome area, and the overall layout is great. Curiously in the Jaguar habitat you made it showcase both their North and South/Central American habitats.
Now why do I feel like renovating much of my Amazonian zoo after seeing this...

Mate, you were one of my top favourite builders in ZT2 and now you have proven the same excellence in Planet Zoo. Despite the simple aesthetic, this park is a masterpiece and one of the best finished projects I've seen in Planet Zoo. 🔥 Loving the realism!

Okay we’re going to need some tutorials because I get frustrated enough just using the terrain tools and adding paths. I’ve been wanting to build a tropics house but I can never make it work 😢. This zoo is amazing!

I remember looking at your Zoo Tycoon 2 zoo builds at the The ZT2 Round Table when I was learning how to do more advanced builds. It must have been 5 year ago or something like that. I am so glad the UA-cam recomended me your video, you are amazing builder 😁.

An Amazing Build, and honestly i could see this as an actual real world zoo or as a subsection of a zoo. That being the case, i did have three criticisms with the build that would go to make it more realistic.
1st) The Gator habitat is small, not abhorrently small, but small none the less. Alligators are large carnivores who can get up to 13ft long and weigh half a ton. Many Zoos here in the USA give our Gators full Deep ponds to call home. In time, a irl Gator put into that habitat will quickly outgrow it and attempt to burrow out.
2nd) An inward facing fence would be placed around the Beaver Pond, both to keep the Beavers from climbing out, and to keep people from sticking their hands in or just out right falling in.
3rd) The Jaguar Pool's side look a bit too steep, which would cause problems down the line with older animals. Also, this is a personal preference, but the geometry of the jaguar pool is a lil off putting when compared to the Capybara and Giant Otter Naturalistic ponds.
Overall just a fantastic build, and something i would love to see in an IRL zoo one day. 4/5 stars.

Thank you for the praise and for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. I'll address each point below:
      1. I agree that the enclosure is small but I wouldn't say it's completely unrealistic; Gatorland, for example, had one of their biggest gators (Chester) in an enclosure just as small for many years. Also, in the UK, crocodilians housed indoors don't tend to have huge enclosures as space is at a premium. In retrospect, I should have probably chosen a smaller gator but I just went with the first one that appeared in the list and threw it in the enclosure for the video and screenshots. I'll be more careful with sizing in future though.
      2. I 100% agree with this and I picked up on it after I finished building the enclosure. Sadly, by that point, I just didn't have the energy in me to wrangle a guard rail into place and wanted to move onto other areas of the zoo.
      3. I also agree with this. The banking is too steep and I'll keep that in mind when building future pools. I also know what you mean about the geometry. I went with a concrete pool as most of the pools with underwater viewing areas that I'd personally seen had concrete pools. I think it might have something to do with water clarity. I could have definitely rounded the edges more though instead of making it look so faceted.
Again, thank you for the useful feedback, you've given me a lot to think about. 👍

Gorgeous realism. Reminds me a bit of ZooAmerica, a zoo in central Pennsylvania I used to visit a lot as a kid that houses exclusively North American animals and which, despite being quite small and unassuming, has a fantastic desert house.
Now that we have three new North American animals, would you ever try to fit them into Wild Americas, or is it totally finished?
