TRAVEL VLOG RODRIGUES

WE WENT TO RODRIGUES!!!!!
Hey guys! We decided it was time for a change of scenery so we went to RODRIGUES!
HERE IS MY VERY FIRST TRAVEL VLOG!!
This travel vlog starts off as Vic and I get to the airport to go to Rodrigues!
Rodrigues is a small (covid free) island located 583 km east of Mauritius.
We landed of this small piece of paradise and went straight to the Tekoma Boutik Hotel. The Tekoma is a beautiful hotel which redefines luxury by blending comfort, elegance and authenticity. We were delighted to see that the hotel was located on one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. It was the perfect place for us to relax, recharge and indulge in the spirit of the island.
The next morning we woke up and went to the market in Rodrigues' capital: Port Mathurin. We wondered around tasting the various seafood and buying artisanal products! We also got to experience the friendless of the Rodriguans first hand!
We then hiked to the most gorgeous beach of Rodrigues (in my humble opinion): Anse Bouteille. We took in the beauty of the place, swam, jumped off rocks, snorkelled ... and headed to Trou D'argent before going back to the Tekoma for lunch.
We ended the day by going for a walk which led us to Mont Limon, the highest mountain in Rodrigues. We made it up there in a record time of 2 minutes and 23 seconds (we did stop to drink water on the way up)!!
The next day we woke up to watch the sunrise as the Tekoma is located on the east coast of Rodrigues. After breakfast, we met up with Phil and went on yet another hike with no destination in mind. The fun thing about Rodrigues is that you don't really need to know where you are going. You just walk through valleys and backyards until you find a nice view and you keep going. Which is exactly what we did. We saw cows, sheep and goats as well as gorgeous views of the lagoons and the valleys. To make the day even better, at the very end, Vic got charged at by a cow that she was just trying to feed!!!! HAHAHAHAHAAHA. Needless to say our day was memorable.
