It's always great to see comprehensive comparison videos like this. I used to use one of the little black unbranded HDMI converters which worked fine but recently wanted to try an upscaler so bought a GBS-C, not sure if I'm happy with the results yet but it will need some tweaking to get right. It looks like you got a fantastic image at the end, very jealous haha :)
Watched your orginial video about the Levelhike cable, bought it and havent looked back since its really best solution if you dont want to shell out a small fortune for retrotink type stuff. Like you say in the vid just a shame you cant get the progressive scan is not compatible with the LevelHike, but if your in the PAL region like us the games supported is quite small so its not huge issue tbf
Do I need to have the PS2 set to RGB or the other mode before plugging in the adapter? I saw that was mentioned on an Amazon Ps2 to HDMI adapter. If I buy a Ps2 I can’t ensure it’s on the right mode, thats why I’m asking
Great video, I’m buying the one you recommended. Been getting lost in a sea of conflicting info on which one to get for a long time as I needed it to work with PS1 also. Thanks again.
@rightspritegaming Somehow it is Plug and Play with some minimal Settings 🤣 but for me it would be Important to see this Solution against the smaller budget Solutions. Because it is sometimes easier to go back Into Retro Gaming if you get a good Picture than when you use a cheap Solution you dont have fun with.
Awesome video 👍. Mayflash adapter also works great for 480p. I would like to try the new electron shepherd adapter. I assume it would be best since ive tried many adapters trying to get gsm to output in 1080p but the adapters are not compatible. Guessing its a bandwidth problem. I also had a problem getting the mclassic to output 1440p on my 65 vizio 4k tv. Solved it by using a $12 1440p edm adapter from Amazon.
@@TheRealScurred not sure if this video will help but the guy basically shows you how to change the settings blindly. ua-cam.com/video/aoivgIL2jjw/v-deo.htmlsi=Bo7Vut4QCEjPd-zu

as a fellow aficionado of GB, you ought to look into the Rad-2x, it is the gold standard pnp analog-digital signal conversion for your console.
Thanks for the heads up, i had a quick look there not really budget friendly, do you know if they can support both 480i RGB and 480p ypbpr mode ?
Need to try the electron Shepard ps2 hdmi adapter

Thanks 👍 for the support
Nice review man thanks!
Now test them against a RetroTink X5 Pro :D
I have one and love it, but sometimes it is a pain in the ass to get the best Settings for some Games.
They sounds great, good shoat, a bit out of budget ATM , and as intended for this project a simple plug and play is what we're after here

how did you get crash twinsanitry working on mx4sio ? mine either crashes or refuses to start
Try using a NTSC region iso
Can someone tell me how to turn the Ps2 into RGB mode without being able to see the screen? Apparently I need to do this with the LevelHike adapter?
Is your ps2 already set to ypb?
@@hadyalbagu8615Not sure. I just bought one a couple days ago. It’s shipping. Will I have to turn it to RGB mode without seeing the screen?

By default the PS2 is set in RGB ,
@@rightspritegaming Ok well hopefully it arrives in that mode.
