I thought about it when watching your run, I got the 2 seconds freeze first, because you have just enough money for what you need in this level, so there is no real benefit of getting cheaper buildings first, and the longer freeze ensures that you take over the first 2 towers faster, as the enemies deal less damage to your troops, so in return, you have more troops to deal damage with. Also, it is a safety net, as it makes sure you win this level fast enough, before the enemy casts the spell. Basically it increases the chances of finishing this level on first try. I've done like 3 hours of research on every level before this run. Im pretty sure this is the best strategy overall, and the only way to save time is to have faster inputs. I will experiment further if someone beats this.
