@@avedicIt must’ve been that person that was trying to argue Aurora whole personality was an act. They were a huge troll I couldn’t stand to even argue back because I was so flabbergasted.
Same. I literally can remember the date I discovered her: March 17, 2020. My work was shut down, I was home and bored and finally watched a video that'd been in my feed for months: the Nidarosdomen concert. Needless to say, an hour later my jaw was on the floor and my mind & soul was *_buzzing_* with a giddy feeling I can't put to words. Over 3 years later I'm such a thorough fan of her music and humanity it's ridiculous lol. She really had a profound impact on my life...healing past wounds and inspiring a kind of actualized hope I need to feel fully alive. As far as I'm concerned, she's a legit Bodhisattva. :}
Listen to her live in person, it's a whole different level of listening to music, you don't just listen to the music and understand it, but you also listen to Aurora, it's like she's speaking straight to your soul, at least for me, I've been to 2 concerts of her and in both of them I wasn't event paying attention to the music, I was focused on feeling what she was feeling while singing, it's like she puts meaning on what she sings, whether it's about love, nature or human beings... She sings with her soul, and with this beautiful voice, I feel like an angel is talking to me.
The first song on her 1st album from 2016 (and also on her 1st EP from 2015) "Runaway" is her most famous song, and in that song she sings "Now take me home, home where I belong". And then in the final song Mothership on her 3rd album from 2019, she sings "Now you are home". Soulless Creatures is written from Mother Earths viewpoint, so we are the soulless creatures "I got pieces of your hate in my soul". The language in A Different Kind of Human is her emotional language she made, which is also in Forgotten Love on Step 1 (and maybe also the chant in Churchyard).
A different kind of human is definetly more into jam and heavy territory. Im glad you liked it! A little info about these 2 albums, if you look at the covers, step 1 is like an inhale, and step 2 like an exhale. Aurora also said that in an interview, and thats also why she said "this is the breath, this is the breath" in infections of a different kind. And i think its also why this album is more upbeat, cause its supposed to be the exhale. From here you could either go back into her discography, to her first album "all my demons greeting me as a friend" or to her most recent album "the gods we can touch". A little tip, if you want to be sad, check out the first one.
Lowkey, the way you've parsed this out makes me think this is almost the best way to discover and react to her? Starting with IOADK or ADKOH and then on to either her first or recent album. Of which i love both aswell! God what an artist
I discovered Aurora in the Spring of 2021 ...I went through similar reaction that you are experiencing! She is one of the most refreshing artists I have ever heard! Strange, as I am a 68 year old male Rock fan that loves such stuff as Led Zeppelin. I got my daughter to become a fan so that I could take her to an Aurora concert in Bristol for her birthday in 2022. Enjoy the journey!
Girl, I was so excited for your reaction and you did not disappoint! She is a different kind of human, my favorite human, other than family, and yes, I think the phone book would be epic sung by Aurora, lol. Anyway, I really think you should step back and listen to her first album before you get more current with her, she is ever evolving and she has all her albums planned out in a order that she wants to present. So, to stay true to her concept of her albums, I highly recommend you listen to All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend next. Thank you for this and see you on the next Aurora reaction.
I love her sooooo much. I've always wanted to go to one of her concerts but I cant afford it quite yet. It'll such an amazing life experience when I go.
She wrote The River because she found out that s***cid*al rates are higher among men. As they usually learn to not express their feelings, they keep it inside and sometimes they just can’t handle anymore. So this song is telling people that is ok to cry
As I understand it, the two steps of this project are based on a concept Aurora came up with after thinking about how people say when a good person dies, 'the good ones always die too soon.' She imagined that because this world isn't always a good place, when a truly good person lives, they spread that goodness but they always suffer too. They really are too good for this imperfect world. They are 'a different kind of human.' Then, what we 'normal people' experience as that person's early death is actually them being collected by a benevolent race of aliens and taken to a much better planet. A place they deserve to be. It's kind of an afterlife concept. The first step, 'Infections of a different kind' is the internal experience of that person, whilst 'a different kind of human' is how they view the world around them. On the two covers, Aurora appears to be breathing in on step 1, and breathing out on step 2. The two titles come together as 'infections of a different kind of human.'
i cry when i listen to a different kind of human. ive been waiting for a spokes person for us different humans. 💜💜💜💜💜 love and light The Seed is powerful! perfection = Aurora

If you're looking for more live performances: her HAIK concert takes place in a forest in Norway and is really beautiful. Her performances of Daydreamer and The Seed at HAIK are really fun.
I could talk about how her live performances sound even better in my opinion, and so on... but it's also interesting to listen to her recordings in the studio. She is very involved in studio production (she co-produces her songs), it's a real part of her and her art (and a lot of work, too). When she creates her music, she obviously thinks, at times, about how it will (or should) sound in her albums. Let's not forget that when she was younger she didn't sing her songs to anyone (it's said her parents didn't even know until she was 14), she just created them and somehow played them for herself I guess. At the beginning of her career, she was really uncomfortable on stage, and before getting used to it (about 2 years, with hundreds of concerts on tour), she said in an interview (from memory, so more or less) that she could stop touring, but never would stop making music every day, in the studio (she seemed to be joking, but I think she meant it too at the time). Anyway, nice and interesting reaction to this sweet musical treasure, Aurora.🙂👍
@@ashlenamusic Yes, it is part of her evolving, she conquered her anxiety of performing live and now she looks to be enjoying it immensely, it seems to me that she now loves the connection to her fans while performing in concert. I was lucky and saw her a year ago in San Diego, first time in 25-30 years since I felt compelled to buy a ticket to see anyone live in concert, it was awesome.
Welcome to the family sis! Once you're hooked on Aurora, you'll never look back! I'd suggest reacting to her first album before her last. It's also really good, but the last is just god tier. Her albums are just better than the last and The Gods We Can Touch is just absurdly good. Her live is even better. And do yourself a favour and see her live in person. She's just incredible. ❤
Very cool reaction for another Aurora album. As always I love whole album although last one is a bit experimental and threat it like that or like outro. But it is sill cool. Oooh have you heard in boxes yet? I know u read the bit about In Bottles being a second song inspired by this woman who lived near Aurora. If I recall she kind of made up a fanciful story about this woman for In Boxes. It’s a fun one, a little scary maybe 😅
Another great reaction! Currently the song Animal is my 6 year olds favourite. She loves to dance to it. I took her to an Aurora concert when she was five. She’s grown up listening to her. The night was like a dream. Aurora in concert is like no other experience. Keep them coming!! I can’t wait for more live performances because her voice os only half the experience. 😉
Mothership is perhaps the most haunting and brilliant album closer I knew until Invisible wounds came along. it is the conclusion of three masterpieces and not just of a different kind of human. a different kind of human and mothership are two of my most listened to songs... ever and yep I got tears in my eyes listening to the song Mothership.
I feel like this album is more upbeat because the first one was more emotional and internal in this one was more about energy and expelling emotion. (I think I heard her say something like that somewhere and it also has something to do with the album covers)
When I was going through my spiritual awakening with Aurora a friend of mine asked me how I could tell if my angels or god was trying to communicate with me and I said I didn't know. The next day a piece of fluff or lint flew past my eyes and I had what you could say as an awareness. Everything felt like it slowed down and I had an instant feeling it was god saying hello or just letting me know he's there and that I can associate lint with him and feathers for loved ones and angels.
I really enjoyed this reaction, you’re doing a really great job👍😍 If I have to choose favourites (which is difficult): “The Seed”, “Daydreamer”, “A different kind of human”, “The River”, “Soulless Creatures”, “Dancing on the Moon”, “Animal”, forget it, I choose all😂😂 I know you read some of the meanings of the songs, but here we go anyway😉 “The River” After the single's release, Aurora explained: "It's quite a happy song… it's been a while since I've had a joyful song so it feels very nice. It was inspired by something quite sad as I looked at the suicide rates on this planet and apparently 73% of them were men and then I thought, why is that the case?” “Animal” "Animal is inspired by today's society. There are some strange behaviour patterns in us, that I know we have in common with the animals, and some behaviour that even for the wildest animal, would be too cruel. We are such strange beings, and the song is inspired by the many things I dislike and like about us.” Aurora “Dance on the moon” “The song is about a person who is comfortable with their emotional side but feels that the world moves it away from them with its aggressiveness, fear, and hate. The person is only free when they are alone but still recognizes that the world is very bad and wonders if they should sacrifice for it” Aurora “Daydreamer” “The song talks about how humans should be daydreamers instead of one-dimensional people with little contact with the world and their true selves.” Aurora “Hunger” "It’s about all our consuming, the endless hunger for money, food, clothes and how we’ve destroyed the world because of that hunger. We force ourselves to not see the people dying to make you a t-shirt because you're hungry to buy as many T shirts that you can. We waste money and time on things that won't make a difference." Aurora “Soulless Creatures” “It means a lot to me and it's written about giving too much. It's Mother Earth writing to humankind about wanting to thrive again.” Aurora “In Bottles” This song is connected to “In Boxes” from her debut EP “Running with the wolves”, and is about a woman living in Auroras neighbourhood that scared the children She wasn’t dangerous or anything, but as you know Aurora has a vivid imagination 😅 “A different kind of human” “I really wanted to make a song to help people cope with death, and to cope with loosing people they love. That’s why I wrote this song” Aurora In this song she uses her own made up language😊 “Apple Tree” “Apple Tree is about the potential that hides in all of us. We can all save the world if we put our minds to it. In a bleeding world the power of the individual is our only hope.” Aurora “The Seed” This music video speaks for itself, it’s a cry for Mother Earth 💕 “Mothership” During an interview with Dork, Aurora stated the song is "a hint for way, way, way more forward in the future." When asked by Dagsavisen if the line "the good ones always die" was inspired by someone in particular she said: "Yes, but there are also more. Everyone who dies too young. There are a couple of people in my life who have passed away early, and there are a couple who have taken their own lives. The world became too painful for them to be in.” I’m really looking forward to your reactions on her mv’s and live performances🤗🥰 I recommend from this album: “The River” live at the HAIK concert “Animal” official video “Dance on the Moon” live at the Exist for love session “Daydreamer” live at the HAIK concert “Soulless Creatures” live from Bergen 2020 “Apple Tree” official video “The Seed” I recommend both the official video and her live performance at Vevo (a stripped down version) “A different kind of human” live at NRK P3 radio festival ✌️🌍💕
Aurora is such a visionary, she's got some incredible tracks her albums are so haunting, another album i think you'd absolutely love is The Hardest Part by Noah Cyrus, Miley's sister. it's got this incredible infused country element with some of the most beautiful sad melodies i've ever heard. that closing track is absolutely haunting it's gorgeous.
Now that some time has passed, what's your favorite track on the album? The title track is my all-time favorite Aurora track, but "The River" and "Daydreamer" are right up there too. And, of course, "The Seed" is very special.
Great reaction! You'll get lots of suggestions for video versions of these songs. As always, her live versions are usually better or just different. Spoiler allert on other reactioneers😂 Have not seen more than 0,001% saying they dont like her music/voice😁🥰 Welcome to the family, as Aurora allways say's😊
The lyric “Omega hai foleet” in “A different kind of human” is part of Aurora’s made up language. There are notable videos to check out for “The Seed”, “Apple Tree”. And “Daydreamer”.
OK, pausing at the title track to comment: AFAIK it's 90% or more AURORA at the production knobs. If you watch the Once AURORA documentary, it becomes apparent that she had almost full control of the production. Sorry for incoherent english but the commenting section lags 4 seconds behind my typing. Ill be bak
Nice! 😊I really like this one a lot. Her first is beloved, and a great debut (especially considering her age writing some of the songs), but I think her albums are just getting better and better. I like the album reviews, and focusing on the production and lyrics. Don't get me wrong, I prefer watching her live as well, but you often get mesmerized watching her. I've seen some not enjoying her music, and maybe even finding her personality a bit weird for their liking. Oh well! Some struggle with her lyrics and take that as a negative. I "struggle" with them too sometimes, but I like that, and Aurora doesn't always want them clear and obvious. I've also heard some snarky comments about the Music Video for "The Seed". Apparently climate change is too political for some.
I can’t wait to dive into her life performances. It bothers me if someone doesn’t understand something they instantly don’t like it. Oh well glad I understand and enjoy her.

Keep them coming!! I can’t wait for more live performances because her voice os only half the experience. 😉
Love this!!! I can’t wait for my 2 year old to listen to Aurora
the seed live at haik is so powerful
Can’t wait to watch it
Mothership is perhaps the most haunting and brilliant album closer I knew until Invisible wounds came along. it is the conclusion of three masterpieces and not just of a different kind of human. a different kind of human and mothership are two of my most listened to songs... ever and yep I got tears in my eyes listening to the song Mothership.
I feel the same way. It just makes you feel a certain way and it’s like someone or something from the other side connecting with you. I love that!
great🎉
Thanks!
"Now you are Home"
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I have looked forward for this...
Nice! Thanks for watching!
Yep, another great album & reaction. Damn you got me at the end 😢. Right in the feels. Thanks, Ash ❤
I see you’re doing your Aurora homework
@@ashlenamusic I’ve done worse 😂 (December’s coming)
1:58 yessss, i think this is the "wildest" album she has
Good to know!
Love it!!!💕💕
Ty!
I really enjoyed this reaction, you’re doing a really great job👍😍
If I have to choose favourites (which is difficult): “The Seed”, “Daydreamer”, “A different kind of human”, “The River”, “Soulless Creatures”, “Dancing on the Moon”, “Animal”, forget it, I choose all😂😂
I know you read some of the meanings of the songs, but here we go anyway😉
“The River”
After the single's release, Aurora explained:
"It's quite a happy song… it's been a while since I've had a joyful song so it feels very nice. It was inspired by something quite sad as I looked at the suicide rates on this planet and apparently 73% of them were men and then I thought, why is that the case?”
“Animal”
"Animal is inspired by today's society. There are some strange behaviour patterns in us, that I know we have in common with the animals, and some behaviour that even for the wildest animal, would be too cruel. We are such strange beings, and the song is inspired by the many things I dislike and like about us.” Aurora
“Dance on the moon”
“The song is about a person who is comfortable with their emotional side but feels that the world moves it away from them with its aggressiveness, fear, and hate. The person is only free when they are alone but still recognizes that the world is very bad and wonders if they should sacrifice for it” Aurora
“Daydreamer”
“The song talks about how humans should be daydreamers instead of one-dimensional people with little contact with the world and their true selves.” Aurora
“Hunger”
"It’s about all our consuming, the endless hunger for money, food, clothes and how we’ve destroyed the world because of that hunger. We force ourselves to not see the people dying to make you a t-shirt because you're hungry to buy as many T shirts that you can. We waste money and time on things that won't make a difference." Aurora
“Soulless Creatures”
“It means a lot to me and it's written about giving too much. It's Mother Earth writing to humankind about wanting to thrive again.” Aurora
“In Bottles”
This song is connected to “In Boxes” from her debut EP “Running with the wolves”, and is about a woman living in Auroras neighbourhood that scared the children
She wasn’t dangerous or anything, but as you know Aurora has a vivid imagination 😅
“A different kind of human”
“I really wanted to make a song to help people cope with death, and to cope with loosing people they love. That’s why I wrote this song” Aurora
In this song she uses her own made up language😊
“Apple Tree”
“Apple Tree is about the potential that hides in all of us. We can all save the world if we put our minds to it. In a bleeding world the power of the individual is our only hope.” Aurora
“The Seed”
This music video speaks for itself, it’s a cry for Mother Earth 💕
“Mothership”
During an interview with Dork, Aurora stated the song is "a hint for way, way, way more forward in the future." When asked by Dagsavisen if the line "the good ones always die" was inspired by someone in particular she said:
"Yes, but there are also more. Everyone who dies too young. There are a couple of people in my life who have passed away early, and there are a couple who have taken their own lives. The world became too painful for them to be in.”
I’m really looking forward to your reactions on her mv’s and live performances🤗🥰
I recommend from this album:
“The River” live at the HAIK concert
“Animal” official video
“Dance on the Moon” live at the Exist for love session
“Daydreamer” live at the HAIK concert
“Soulless Creatures” live from Bergen 2020
“Apple Tree” official video
“The Seed” I recommend both the official video and her live performance at Vevo (a stripped down version)
“A different kind of human” live at NRK P3 radio festival
✌️🌍💕
Omg thank you! More Aurora reactions coming soon xx
Also thank you for all of the info!!!
Omega Hi Folet is part of Aroras 'emotional language' she hasn't taught us yet.....
🤩
😊👍
🥰
Aurora is such a visionary, she's got some incredible tracks her albums are so haunting, another album i think you'd absolutely love is The Hardest Part by Noah Cyrus, Miley's sister. it's got this incredible infused country element with some of the most beautiful sad melodies i've ever heard. that closing track is absolutely haunting it's gorgeous.
I loooooooove Noah Cyrus!!!!
@@ashlenamusic isn't she just incredible!! have you heard her album i can imagine you would love it
Now that some time has passed, what's your favorite track on the album? The title track is my all-time favorite Aurora track, but "The River" and "Daydreamer" are right up there too. And, of course, "The Seed" is very special.
I always get really excited for the seed. It’s just so good live especially when she has that choir surprise her
@@ashlenamusic Yes, the HAIK version of "The Seed" is one of her most iconic performances! Then again, so is "Daydreamer" from the same show.
Truth 🤘🏽
Great reaction! You'll get lots of suggestions for video versions of these songs. As always, her live versions are usually better or just different.
The River - Official Video (ua-cam.com/video/P7lE-G1oC34/v-deo.html), really good live version (ua-cam.com/video/W004QdzfHjo/v-deo.html)
Animal - Official video (ua-cam.com/video/3DIT8Y3LC6M/v-deo.html), better live version (ua-cam.com/video/t3tA-Y5D8jU/v-deo.html)

Daydreamer - live version (ua-cam.com/video/JEESMpmXxpA/v-deo.html) (note Aurora's proud parents in the crowd at the beginning of the video)

A Different Kind of Human - Live acoustic version (ua-cam.com/video/WLYGGE1UKzI/v-deo.html)
Apple Tree - Surprisingly, the official video is the best (ua-cam.com/video/AvPzwKQKZTc/v-deo.html)
The Seed - Official video (ua-cam.com/video/_Mc_OM5oNA8/v-deo.html), many many live versions but here is a good one (ua-cam.com/video/hRhj3lfWzrI/v-deo.html)
Mothership - no video
Have fun!
i think the seed on bergen with orchestra is better than haik version
Can’t wait to dive in
Spoiler allert on other reactioneers😂
Have not seen more than 0,001% saying they dont like her music/voice😁🥰
Welcome to the family, as Aurora allways say's😊
Love that!
The lyric “Omega hai foleet” in “A different kind of human” is part of Aurora’s made up language. There are notable videos to check out for “The Seed”, “Apple Tree”. And “Daydreamer”.
Love that!
Ill be bak
live version pleasssse😂
Of course!!! I like to hear the audio before watching music videos or live performance!
By the way you have AURORA spelt wrong in the title 🤭 Love your reactions!!!
OMG SORRRRRY thanks for the catch
@@ashlenamusic no problem 🤗
@@ashlenamusic Sad to see the reaction to "All My Demons..." disappear again. I don't know much about this stuff, but did you play the full songs this time? I wonder if that pisses someone off 😄. Oh well, looking forward to the next one!
Fun fact , a lot of Melanie fans are aurora fans and florence + the machine fans
That makes so much sense haha
Great video as usual 👌🏻👍🏻 U gotta check out her first album as well. Runaway inspired Billie Eilish to become a singer/songwriter!
Can’t wait!
i sent for you some links of her live peeformance on your ig should i sent again here ?
I got them!!
@@ashlenamusic no you did not got them😂i sent it hour ago and you dont see it yet😂

@ashlenamusic I am sitting here watching you fallingl in love with Aurora... and I am crying also 🩷 you have sooooo much to discover. She did a concert in the woods where she was surprised. It is called HAIK. You will sooooooo love it... I promise
Awww that sweet. I will check it out!
@@ashlenamusic This version has got the most accurate translation as the documentary and speaking in between the songs at the concert is in Norwegian 😄
Hope u let us join u on this ride 🤩👌🏻
Have u ever heard MELODRAMA by Lorde? It’s a great great great Album!!!!!
I know of it but haven’t heard it! I should react to it!
nice reaction. i still have no favorite aurora song, there are just to many good pieces. and each has different versions as well.
That’s cool. The seed is definitely my favourite but I do love every song I’ve heard so far!
thank you for your videos, very cool!
ps. still waiting for more nbt stuff🥲🙏🏻 hope you enjoy!
