      Yes cuz the cold wheather in Scandinavia keeps the body young and they look much younger that they really are.With the increasing the global temperature we will aging much faster.That's why we must diminish the global warming cuz we're far enought from the sun and the hole temperature increase is due to our action on the climate not from the action of da sun.

    Ayrton Senna cared a lot more about safety than Balestre. And of course he did, it was his life after all that was at risk. Balestre needed a good kick up the arse. Which Ayrton very politely gave him.

    that is not a briefing but someone who is risking his life vs. someone who does not care about that risk. i think senna suffered a lot in hisl life. he seems so emotional person. he did understand things others never could and that was his main problem. balestre never raced and did not understand the risk while drivers died every year and senna did understand that risk. someone may say he was a coward or pussy os romething but he was not. you need to have big big big balls to say things like he did and fight agains someone who is driven only by the money. his emotions were so strong that thay made impact on everyone around him and they still do change the world.

    Ayrton: Most mesmerizing F1 driver of all time. Forget stats, other drivers may win more trophies, but there's dimension missing, while the brilliance and passion of the man still has not been surpassed, even 20 years after his death.
    Balestre : Corrupt bastard who deserved all the "former Nazi" accusations thrown at him. I can't remember exactly when he died, and can't be bothered to look it up. The lack of "In memory of Balestre" memorial events tells me I'm not the only one.

      No one knows the name of who was before Balestre, lot of people hated Balestre, lot of people hated Mosley (also known as the Nazi!) and lot of people are hating Todt ... always on the accusation that they are manipulating championship ...

      @christopherriley9372 7 років тому +13

      PanicKernel2008 If you listened to what he told Jackie Stewart: if the driver see an opening and don't take that opportunity then they'll never truly be a racing driver. I never got to watch him race but what clips I have been able to see he made calculated maneuvers when the opening presented itself, some were flawless and some weren't. I mean how many drivers have raced that were perfect? I have never seen anyone hit wet spots while driving on slicks and control the car like Senna did at Donnington. To me a driver who can get the most out of a less than stellar car is a true champion. That's why I will never truly accept Lewis Hamilton in the same breath as Senna, because in the Toleman he nearly won Monaco and Lewis has not raced for a back marker. I have to say by far what clips I have seen the greatest example of what a racing driver is was and will ever be Ayrton Senna possessed and will probably not be seen again.

    • @raphaelj6885
      @raphaelj6885 7 років тому

      I agree but it is probably what killed him ...
      People tend to forgot that Prost also wanted to win every race when he started but changed his mind after few accident (he break his wrist).
      Senna never changed his mind, which is really nice for the show, and bring lot of admiration, but probably lead to his death.
      Everyone talk about Prost being a coward in Australian to not race under the rain because he was afraid "to crash and hurt someone else", but everyone forgot that Senna did 13 laps crashed into Brundle in a straight line at very high speed because he could not see him!

    • @raphaelj6885
      @raphaelj6885 7 років тому +4

      Actually for Monaco, Toleman said after the race that Senna had no chance to win the race.
      His car was apparently having mechanical issues, so if they would have done the whole race, he would not have finished it. Also the fastest driver was Stefan Bellof.
      That does not change the fact that he was very fast with it! But it does change the rumor that he could have won the race

    • @tornikechumburidze1263

      Raphael J Senna was killed due to the mechanical problem of the steering and then obviously broken off part of his car hitting his head after the crash. and this is the sad thing about it. mechanical fault that no driver has a control over.

    • @raphaelj6885
      @raphaelj6885 7 років тому

      that is because in 89 Senna is at fault.
      Rules are : pilote in front got the way. Senna never succeed to get his car in front of Prost's.
      Other case :
      Schumacher vs Hill > Schumacher in Front, not at fault
      Schumacher vs Villeneuve > Villeneuve in Front, not at fault
      Prost vs Senna 90 > Prost in front .... FIA say they do not know ... what a BS ....

    Balestre was a great man. What you see here proves that there was a dialogue between the pilots and the federation and that they listened to their opinions. When Max Mosley took over the leadership of the FIA in 1991 there was no more dialogue or safety briefing or any contact with drivers. It was not until the accidents at Imola and Monaco in 1994.

    Yes, and it got in Prost's head when Senna did that, which was the whole idea. Senna always won at Monaco if his car stayed in one piece and wasn't uncompetitive--and in '92, he won in spite of the fact that it was. They were equally great drivers, in their own ways, and they were determined to win at all costs against the other, in their own ways. F1 just wasn't a big enough stage for both an Ayrton Senna and an Alain Prost at the same time.

    @fernandovogel I think you are missing the point. Prost never had to complain about the rule since it didn't make any difference. The purpose of the rule is correct as you cited- to award the driver with the best top results, regardless of potential technical failures. Regarding Ayrtons technical problems in detail - he was more aggressive on the car than Alain, which didn't always pay off for him. The both had the same material, but Ayrton had more technical problems - he had them for a reason.

    Mansell beat Piquet in the same car. Piquet was already a two time champion.

He was leading because Senna crashed stupidly in Monaco (no car failure) and Senna had a gearbox problem AT THE START of the Brazilian GP (and was later disqualified for using the spare car). Or would you say that he pushed to hard during the warm up lap? (Continues)

    @TheColinChapman My point is, Prost is a great pilot, great strategist. I prefer him over Schumacher (whose curse was not having someone to be measured up except for Hakkinen, to whom he lost twice). But I admire much more a pilot that is the pinnacle of speed, courage and aggressiveness than one that is known for conserving the tires and not breaking the car. Prost used the same weapons Lauda used against him in 84, after recognizing that Prost was faster: constancy

    @TheColinChapman The true is, you missed the hole point. Prost never complained about the rule, even because it brought good luck to him. The "best scores" rule existed since 1950. And it was created with a single purpose: to award the fastest driver, not the one that had less mechanical failures. The rule worked as intended only in 64 and 88. In 88 Senna bested Prost constantly (to say the true, in 89 too), but had more mechanical problems. That`s it

At the 13th round (the infamous 88 Portuguease GP) Senna had problems with his fuel meter also from the OPENING LAPS. He managed to come 6th, but Prost retook the lead. In Spain (the 14th round) Senna had problems with the fuel meter AGAIN, from the start. And Prost won (Senna finished 4th). I cant imagine how a fuel meter can broke because of the drivers agressiveness...

    "no rivals!" Really? He raced; Mansell, Patrese, Prost and Senna in his first few years. Out scored (by nearly 3 times) a much more experienced teammate in Patrese in his second full season. Raced against competitive drivers such as; Barrichello, Berger, Coulthard and Montoya. Had probably the most contenders to his throne in Alonso, Coulthard, Häkkinen, Hill, Räikkönen and Villeneuve. More people challenged Schumacher than anyone else. His dynasty helped him become the best!

    @Shogo5000 Up to 1988, the best scores rule ALWAYS existed in F1, except from 1981 to 1984. Prost won three of his four titles with this "stupid" rule. Senna won just one out of his three. In 1988 it was one rare time when this rule was effective (the other time was 1964) and changed the champion, awarding the BEST pilot, not only the most regular or luckiest.

    @TheColinChapman What isnt true? In 85, 86 and 89 the rule existed, although you are true that it did not change the results in favour of "Alain" (are you intimate with him?). You forget to mention that In 83 and 84 Prost was the absolute favorit for the title and lost, and the rule at the time stated that all results counted (and the "best 11 scores" would make no difference because the cars were not reliable enough for that). So that rule did not helped him either...

    @Guireles2007 Yes Ecclestone simply cares about F1 as a business only. This is shown by his choice to have races in countries like South Korea with the track surrounded by absolutely nothing only because their government can afford to pay a ludicrous fee. Meanwhile, the race in Melbourne is in jeopardy because bernie negotiates so ruthlessly despite what a fantastic event it is. Get somebody who cares about racing and motor sport fans...

    @sargatanas88 nope he talks About the squalify of Suzuka 1989 when Prost make he crash, and after Senna go through Chicane, and for Balestre was a cutting, Then he asked the reason of Squalify! "Anyway i didn't get more fast!" And in next Grand Prix when Senna hits the Tires Barries Piquet said "Its Dangerous, A Driver can hurt head and stay blocked in sand like Senna" And All Agree. Then Senna said "Then, All are ok and why when Prost crashed me and i go through the Chichane we had a long discu

    @fernandovogel this is simply not true. Prost won the 1985 title with 73 pts over Alboreto with 53, without the "best 11 scores" rule he would have won with 76 vs 53 anyway. And he won the 1986 Championship with 72 pts over Mansell with 70, without the rule he would have won with 74 vs 72. And he won the 1989 Titel with 76 pts over Senna with 60, without the rule he would have won with 81 vs 60. This rule did not help Alain winning anything.

    4 times you say? Maybe he could have taken more but that´s just pure speculation, Schumi would absolutely have won should he not have broken his leg at Silverstone but you cannot think like that it´s speculation yeah?
    Besides, if we going to be 100% fair here Senna slso drove straight into Prost at Suzuka in 1990 and by doing so denied Prost his championship that day.
    Senna was amazing as a driver but also a bully on the track and tested other drivers phsycologically, when others moved for him he knew from there on that they will always move when he come and the alternative wasa to chrash out.
    Very dangerous cause safety was not like today back then, he deliberatly put others in harms way and acted like a baby towards many others as well including journalist whom he held a grudge with if they wrote any negative stuff about him or even talked to or hailed other drivers.
    Sad to see people bring up jis great sides and refuse his negative sides, Senna was a really complex person and far from perfect. God was he great to watch though, amazing car control and ability to drive on the edge.

    So how come he doesn't transform the Mercedes team into a competetive force after three years of development and a many of the key personel he enjoyed from his Ferrari days, including Ross Brawn?
    Schumacher enjoyed a car advantage and team mate advantage the likes of Senna, Prost, Stewart, Clark and Lauda never saw. In 2010-2012 he hardly matches Nico Rosberg who the jury is still out on as to how good he really is.
    Jack Brabham was nearly champion for the 4'th time in 1970 aged 44...
