Mental illness is a private matter and it is to the person who has that mental illness discretion to talk about it to the public. People who usually have a manic phase hate being reminded of it and when they do it just sets them back to that moment. Like it or not, it’s Tony’s decision to shut him up over his personal struggle.

Many people are supporting Ferguson for standing up to the reporter but the reporter's name is Rodney James (U.S. Army Veteran and has worked with his fellow soldiers who suffer from mental illnesses such as PTSD, Rodney probably has PTSD as well, Tony Ferguson, you the man bro, but Rodney didn't deserve that)

I think the timing of the question was wrong. He shouldn’t have asked that question in front of millions. Khabib and Tony have beef with each other so the questions should be fight related.

Medicine in some cases are necessary. I suffer from depression for months. Without antidepressants i have anxiety attacks and i was lazy all day. So yes, in some cases are necessary.
I studied psychology and one thing that was always said when it came to medication is some of the medication will make the symptoms worse but only for a period of time that is why people need to be checked up on when starting the medication.

I don't think that reporter was pulling an Ariel Helwani (deliberately asking questions to provoke).
The way he phrased the question, it seems like he probably suffers from mental illness as well, and was really commending Tony Ferguson on how he overcame it, and how he's an inspiration. But Tony took it the wrong way. I don't blame Tony though. He's getting ready for war. And he probably doesn't want anything brought up that could be misconstrued as a sign of weakness. Like how Deyontay brought up Tyson's mental health in their prefight conference. Not that Khabib would touch that subject, he's a classy dude.

Youre privacy deserves respect while in public.
