  • The University of Sussex’s innovative Master’s degree in Corruption and Governance is the only full-time course in the UK that address issues of corruption. It equips graduates and professionals in the field with a full understanding of corruption in a variety of different settings. From public power to sport, this post-graduate degree helps people to study corruption from a national and international perspective.
    The course is taught by leading academics, some of which have worked with anti-corruption organisations prior to working at the University. Professors have included Robert Barrington who was formerly the head of Transparency International (TI) in the UK, and Elizabeth David-Barrett, who worked for London think tanks, such as the Institute for Public Policy Research and the Centre for European Reform, and political risk consultancy Oxford Analytica. Students on this course have the chance to interact with the academics and learn from their experiences.
    This course contains is an optional three-month internship which allows students to put theory into practice. This is invaluable to working towards anti-corruption and governance in a real-life setting. Students value this experience for numerous reasons. Not only does it add to their CV and help them to stand out to employers, but it also helps them to network and create connections in the anti-corruption sphere with other professionals.
