We completely transformed this room in a French Chateau! 1/2

Chris and Jolyon redecorate the main bedroom of Château Trois Cloches.
For this project covered in two videos, we installed a dado rail, a new chandelier with a dimmer, we paint the room using the incredible Myland's Bond Street and Grouse paints and finally get the spray gun working properly. We found furniture and pictures in a local Brocante which, with a bit of love, were made into great pieces that we think really make the room.
Frustratingly, we were limited in where to put the bed as the room has radiators, windows, fireplaces on every other wall and so we made the decision to seal up an unused door to the Orangerie to make space for the placement of the bed. Very happy with the end result though.

Rather than a nail gun on molding I use 4 or 6 penny finishing nails. Tap the head end into the wood where you want the nail to be. Turn the nail around and drive the nail into the depression leaving about a 1/8 inch exposed. Then use a nail set to drive the nail slightly below the surface. Use a filler to level the surface and lightly sand.

Interesting. Might give that a go. Though we finally resolved the problems we were having with the nail gun. We were using non proprietary nails and when we got the makita ones they worked much better!
