Well they were all too long ago...but I got to be on the Star Princess when new and she was lovely...they have a now one coming out with more of the kid outside stuff...I loved the more fancy traditional kind of decor...but I also love the looks of the Oasis Class..Wonder which may have come out after this plan and the new Icon..I do not need that big and Oasis will be HUGE compared to that 109,000 Ton Star Princess 20 years ago.
We recently enjoyed a wonderful Princess Cruise from CA to Alaska. Stopped in 3 cities. Food and excursions were wonderful. The weather up there was perfect and we highly recommend it. Lots of whales and porpoises and of course glaciers everywhere.
What fun!! We’ve been on 3 cruises, but they were all Star Trek cruises lol! The last one was on an RCL ship, we had a promenade view room and loved it!
Just so you know, if no one has said it, the front is the bow, the back is the stern. Thanks again Tanya and Dave for the great video. I took a cruise on MSC and had a balcony cabin. I think cruising is the best way to see a lot of places and you only have to unpack once.

I would love to go on a cruise but my hubby refuses because he is so paranoid that there is too much water versus the boat. I keep telling him that this is not the Titanic 🤣😂. awwww. This ship is so big, you'd probably not even know you were not at an ocean view resort hotel on shore. My family feels the same as you; so It will be a while yet before I get to take a cruise. :)
I’m gassing myself up to get on a plane lol I’m afraid of heights, just wanted to say the ships so big, like a floating city .. takes away the care about all the water you’re in!
When we cruised to Alaska, we rented a car in Juno and drove around doing our own thing. It was great! You can always look for your own activities in ports and as you said, they will be much less crowded. I love cruising and can’t wait to go again!
My husband and I love cruising we have been on close to 30 cruises. we always cruise Carnival. We have two things we totally enjoy cruising and camping in our Jayco motorhome. We are getting ready to head out to Tennessee then Bryson City NC camping. August Alaska cruise.
Carnival seems like a cheap cruise. I’d rather spend more money on things to keep the government assisted people from boarding. Whenever we’re docked next to a carnival cruise the the type of people really gets rowdy

Hey, I lived and worked 10 years in St John’s Newfoundland. It’s a great place. I’m back in Ontario my home province but while in St John’s I met the best people in the world.l Hope you enjoy it.
Loved this video because I love cruising. Been on almost the same cruise. Mine out of Boston, two ports in Maine then St.John’s and Halifax. Did the same thing in St.John’s. In Halifax did a Titanic tour. Museum and cemetery where victims buried. Remembered that with the events of last week. Only drawback to booking independent excursions, if they are late getting back to ship it won’t wait for you. Book through ship and they would wait if late. I never want to risk flying to the next port or home. Drink package is the way to go! Glad you are getting the terminology room/cabin, boat/ship, bow and stern. Hope you had a great time!🛳️
Forward and Aft is easier. I love cruising and I was to be on one going to Bermuda right now, but I fell and fractured my shoulder and had to cancel. I am now searching for another one to go on. I am alone in life, so when I want to go, I go. I have saved very hard to be able to do what I really love (cruising and visiting Bermuda) I have been to Bermuda 30 some times, but I love it there and have made friends, so I am very comfortable there. I love the people there and it is beautiful. I usually rent an apartment when I go, because it is very expensive. That way I can do my own cooking now and then. Cruising became a passion for me when my X and I took my son when he was 13. My son is now 50, so you know how many years I have been on the ocean. I have never cruised overseas because of the cost. I am in PA and cruise out of Baltimore or NJ/NY. I cruise alone, so maybe I will see you sometime. Great video, by the way.
On a Mediterranean cruise I skipped the pkg tour and at the dock solo rented a cab to do a custom tour. I can’t recall the cost but it was great experience. Only in retrospect did I get nervous about going off on my own with a stranger in a foreign country. I was in my early 40’s.
I follow you guys for Vegas happenings, curious to see what you think of cruising. I have taken approximately 50 cruises to the Caribbean, Bahamas, Canada & New England, Europe, Australia and the South Pacific. Hope you enjoy. These days I cruise and do land vacations.
Just wa my t to let you I u know when you book an excursion, make sure you do it through the cruise ship or your travel agent. If you are late returning from an excursion, they have to wait for you. If you book it on your own and you're late returning from the excursion, the boat will leave without you.

I have to say I love Tanya's expressions.. when in distress (the smoke from the wild fire) reminded me when the car in Las Vegas was broken into. I am sure all nature felt her resonate heart felt concern. It truly felt like you both were taking us right along with you.. Again TY.. did. miss the cats though.. and van too. The cruise ships have a high bar themselves to reach.

I can probably pin point the exact date you were cruising when you mentioned the alert for bad air, I'm in NYC, did you see that pic of the NYC skyline with orange air? That blew down to us, matter of fact tomorrow we're supposed to be hit again with the air, but not as bad as it was a few weeks ago. Funny how you two pronounce Halifax differently, you say "Hollyfox" but hubby says HALifax !!
Shirley, thanks so much! Yes, we were in New Jersey at that time, the air quality was supposed to be the worst in the world at that point, unreal. When we disembarked from the cruise, the air smelled very smoky! We pronounce things differently quite a bit, lol!

Love this! Looks like an awesome time and thank you for the adventures with you! Last summer I went on first cruise to Alaska- gorgeous! (Despite rain and drizzle even in summer 😕). On way back to Seattle, we stopped in Victoria (hot and sunny and so beautiful 💓). I definitely need to see East Coast too- bonus finding distant relatives up there😁

A few hiccups along the way, but that just gives you a reason to book another one to gamble when at Sea, enjoy all the different meals, breaks, outlets, restaurants, etc....yes, book your excursions EARLY. but it looks like you had a great time.
You guys are so nice and funny. I hope you have a great trip! They really didn't talk about how bad it was in NJ. But they closed schools and a lot of business. The air was orange and smelled so bad. Now my son is 6 hours away from Canada. They didn't see much of anything. Very strange.
I never take the cruise option excursions. So must cheaper and intimate if you book yourself. Many places we have hired a cab driver to take us around. A good deal in sone places. Only drawback to booking your own excursion is if you don’t get back in time you are out of luck. Excursions booked by the cruise line guarantees you won’t be left if your late…they wait for you
