I am a huge Dimensions collector as well and I know how excited you had to have been to find that in your mail!! Look forward to seeing your progress on the stocking! I’m sitting here with the thread cards from the Petite coffee shop in my lap - trying to organize the threads - might need to work on this tomorrow. 😂
Hi Liz! Many years ago DMC offered an anniversary cabinet with slim drawers and slots to fit 2 skeins of each floss color and some space for miscellaneous. It also came with 2 charts to stitch a design for the front doors of the cabinet. It was a big splurge for me but I am so happy that I purchased it. Of course, it doesn’t accommodate new floss colors added or discontinued but I love that I always have 2 skeins available for kitting, etc.

I had some free time early yesterday and couldn’t wait to start 😂 so I went ahead with a Center start with the teal colour doing the frames! Hehe we are of the same mind as to how to progress 👏🏻
I’m so excited to join the SAL! I’m stitching the Toy Shoppe, since I’m not a fan of coffee. I haven’t stitched a Dimensions kit since the 90’s, but am super excited for this one! The nostalgia of it is making me so happy! Thanks for the inspiration! ❤

Hi Liz, I went down the Dimensions rabbit hole a few years ago lol. There is no going back after your first Gold Collection finish! Just wanted to let you know that Stoney Creek Cross Stitch has the SAL kit available on their website.
Hi Liz - re the DMC floss card. In my post retirement "let's get the stitching life all set up", I purchased a package of every single DMC floss skein. It took me awhile to get them in FlossAway bags and then on large rings in numerical order, but I did finally do it. Now, when I purchase a pattern, I still buy the DMC floss that is called for on the pattern, but I know that I have a backup skein waiting for me if I need it. AND, when I am really good, when I finish a project I take the FlossAway bags I was using for the project and put them with the "master" set. If I were designing (and don't plan to, though I want to find floss that matches quilting fabric for when I integrate that work), I think it would help me to have full skeins to hold next to each other rather than just the few strand of the card. AND, yes, it was a big investment. Love the designs. See you at the Superb Owl. Anne

I bought the Toy Shoppe. I'm not on IG so can't post what I'm doing. I didn't know the Aida was so tiny! I've never stitched on that. I have a few other large Dimensions and if it's on this little Aida I may have to switch to 14 count. I usually work on 28 linen/lugana over-dye but since it's full coverage I'll stick with Aida. Hope I get used to it soon. I bought the large DMC chest that came with one skein of each color. I put the floss in the chest numerically and slipped a small piece of index card with the number range on it so I know what numbers are where. I do cut a piece of floss IF I NEED IT. I don't remove it-rule number 1 and if I should ever get low on one skein, I'll have time to get a new one. I have my floss on bobbins in big plastic cases because of cats and dust and fur. My overdye and silks are in plastic bins and not too organized. I'm getting ready to resume working on my Toy Shoppe. See ya in the next video

I got my pattern on Everything Cross Stitch! Easy breezy. Excited for a change of pace with this SAL.
I happened to stash the coffee shoppe kit last year, so I suppose I have to join the SAL, haha! I can already tell it will be lots of fun!

Are there any quarter stitches on the Dimensions SAL? I find that quarter stitches are difficult to do in Aida.
