Thanks a lot for this great video. I will be back in Japan at the end of february for 4 weeks, and in Tokyo, I have always wanted to visit Hie shrine, but couldnt find information on where it is. Thanks to you, I now know it, and I will hopefully combine it with a meal at the Harry Potter Cafe. The Mori Art museum also looks great, so it looks like I will spend a whole day in Roppongi.
I am so glad I could help you finally find the shrine you were looking for! The tori gates are an amazing site to behold, and a great picture-souvenir as well ;). The Mori Art Musuem was definitely worth it. I am not a huge art fan, but was thoroughly impressed with the exhibits they had on display! Let me know what you think when you come visit! I would love to hear from you
Thank you for the content. Haven’t been here in 9 years and will be there in April. By the string of the Roppongi bars there was a kebab shop nearby which was AMAZING but can’t remember the name of it
Great video Harb and Matilda, I like the Mori Art Gallery but where they show the future restaurant with a robot man , also the Torii Gates wow, what about those American burgers, not my style but still.. must be popular for diehard carnivores, just loved the twinkling lights everywhere
Yea the art gallery was beautiful! Definitely check it out next time you're in Japan! And the Tori Gates it's the perfect instagram spot ;). Guess you'll just have to come back this Christmas to see those lights right???
That is the goal! To give tons of variety that will fit everyone's needs! Then you can pick what you like off the lists and make a good plan for yourself!
Didn't think I would learn any Japanese on this channel but then you showed Gorigri burger and then it like hey what does that mean and turns out it has cool name in English to Bona fide Burger or it could also be Hardcore hamburger. I saw a variation of those pancakes but they look like the size of small biscuits but great list man enjoyed being a part of the stream.
I might do a survival Japanese video soon, so you might learn more soon ;). Yea those burgers are most certainly hardcore haha. You should definitely check them out when you visit Japan! And the pancakes would make great dessert to share with someone ! Glad you enjoyed the stream, and hope to see you on the next one!
@@harblife I also came across Pagani Showroom on the way there! so cool to see Hypercars even only to see from the outside 😂 but for the Hie Shrine I loved it so much
Roppongi is a very club heavy area. I would say Shinjuku would be your best bet. They have tons of izakayas in that area and you're near one of the biggest train stations in Japan -- meaning you have alot of trains to branch out and go anywhere you want. Just watch my newest video about Shinjuku to see some of the night life I talked about in it. Hope this helps!
@HarbLife thank you very much, Harb! Yes, I know that, but I haven't found a decent place in Shunjuku, only in Yotsuya, which is not so close to Shinjuku, that's why I'm asking. I have found an occasion in Roppongi just above the station and with a great view of the Tokyo Tower, so I booked this hotel too. I love Tokyo Tower. It's the symbol of my childhood cause it was in every anime I watched. But the other room in Yotsuya is slightly bigger. Of course I have to cancel one of the two hotels... I'm so in doubt 😂😂😂
Slow down your pace - less hurry to make watching more relaxing. The content is very good. We are planning a two week vacation in Japan - one week in Tokyo and one week in Kyoto. What is the best time to visit? We are thinking mid-May. Keep going. Paolo from Tokyo, John Daub of Only in Japan are our favorites. Good luck.
True! I definitely should take more pauses in between segments. I really appreciate all the constructive feed back though -- I will take this into account. Mid-May would be a pretty good time to visit. It won't be too hot and should be relatively clear weather. I would say the absolute best times to visit Japan would be late March or late September/ early October. Hope this helps! Thanks for the luck! Hope to hear from you again!
i have a question pleaseeeeeeeeee i am planning my trip to japan , i am from the USA (florida) I DID get 2 Pfizer vaccine and the booster does that count as the 3 vaccine shots or i need something else please can someone help me!!! its my first japan trip i want to make sure everything goes as smooth possible!! and any other extra tip is very much appreciated !!! thanks
I would stay in Shinjuku. It has good nightlife with the exception of good clubs. But, you can easily take a taxi from Roppongi to Shinjuku when you're done for the night. Shinjuku also has a ton of different train lines connected to the station, so you can branch out and go pretty much anywhere in Tokyo with ease.
We stayed in Roppongi during the first week of January. Although I wouldn't recommend the hotel we stayed, the area was great despite it being a club district. Roppingi hills, Tokyo Midtown and also Tokyo Tower within walking range are all very nice places to visit. If only we had known about the Harry Potter town beforehand.
Sorry to hear you missed out on the Harry Potter Town. There is actually a bigger Harry Potter area opening up this summer. guess you'll just have to come back and check both spots out!
I do like your videos, but did find it annoying this time that of the top 7 things to do in Roppongi, only 3 were in Roppongi. 2 were in Akasaka, 1 in Chiyoda (two districts away) and 1 in Aoyama. Though I do like the attention to Akasaka one of my favourite districts because tourists don't go there.
Good points. But to keep it simple, YT will not recommend videos that people do not look up on their own or are popularly searched. That being said, no tourist knows of Akasaka, Chiyoda, or other small areas of Tokyo -- hence it will not be pushed by YT. That's why I roped it all together. It is still in the vicinity of Roppongi and ensures the video would get maximum exposure. Hope that makes sense!
A prompt for art? If People have to be spoon-fed their own imagination and it’s interpretation that’s kind of sad 🤷♂️ dope video though I think in going to be visiting many of these places in a couple months. 🙏
brooo!!! ive been missing out on the vlogs and vids!!and livestreams!!! catching up now also saying hello!
Wassup! Yea I will be doing a live this week I know I have been slacking lol.
Great video as always!!! I have been to the shrine and you're 100% right there's no tourist matter of fact it was only me! Your Dawgs dominated TCU!!!
Yeaaah! You'll have to visit the shrine again it's a great spot to visit !
Dem Dawgs killed it ! Perfect season woooo!
I love ur video, it helps me to plan my itinerary in tokyo 🫶🏻

I think I know where you are talking about. I can check and see if it's still around!
When you mentioned TV Asahi, I immediately saw the Aiba Manabu show! Now that's Masaki Aiba of Arashi being a candy to my eyes!
Hahaha I am glad I could help make your day a little better by showing him on the video :).
I need that little Jolty Boy behind you so so bad! 🥺⚡️
You can find it in the Pokemon Centers in Yokohama or Tokyo!
@@harblife fingers crossed they'll have it still in October next year. 🥰💛⚡️
Going japan in 3 weeks, currently finding the patience to wait is proving very difficult. i just want time to fly !!!!

I’ve been to Hie Shrine in 2020, and unfortunately I came from the back side.. with a bunch of stairs 😂 but worth the climb
Hahaha should have taken the escalators! Glad you could find the Tori Gates though!

does anyone know the restaurant/cafe that sells the pancake at 0:35? I would like to visit!
It's in the video! Watch all of it!
@@harblife thank you!
Hey Harb, which place is better to stay In Tokyo in your opinion? Yotsuya or Roppongi? I'm not into clubs, I prefer more authentic izakayas.

The gmail you have listed is not valid. Is there a way for me to message you requesting travel information?
The email definitely works. I have gotten people to reach me on it!
Pancake looks like a nice yitty
Lol I have never heard of a yitty, but I would imagine it is good. You definitely need to try it though it was super good.
Good video. One quick note, a bit of nitpick admittedly, but Asakusa is a temple (Buddhist), not a shrine (Shinto). 😉
Ya you right bro mb. I was just trying to compare how many tourists show up there as opposed to Hie Shrine lol!
6:03 Release the footage of you eating the 4x4! It must exist somewhere.
Lmaooo. Yo I'll definitely try it soon, but I was so full when I took the video, I couldn't even attempt it. I'll let you know when I do!

@@mfdoom0088 where can i get all the online paper work ? and thank you so much for taking time for replay
Those will count. Take your CDC card and register it on the Visit Japan Website and it should get approved.
Let me know if you still have questions!

hmmm,.... interesting but,... Roppongi is probably more for my girl relatives but not my style ... I'll probably just relax in Funabashi .... (^_^)
I wish you could just speak in a normal, conversational tone instead of constantly going up and down for dramatic effect.
I do now in my newer vids!
Tokyo midtown is one of the few buildings in Tokyo that has a dedicated mosque for Muslim visitors. I think Tokyo buildings need more inclusivity!!
