    Was lucky enough to get this on one of my Stretch and Bobbito KCR 89.9 tapes back in the day. Must have pressed rewind at the end of this song at least 50 times. The mighty Mos at his finest.

    This was the Jam back in the 6th grade!!! I remember hearing this song when my bro bought the single which also contained "If you can Huh you can hear". Just remember that was one of his first records that he bought when first started to mess with Turntables. Ah those were the days...

      @@77Creation wow, I stayed on Holderness ave, closer to Lucille ave. WRAS ha the hip hop on saturday with Iras, and sunday had the reggae. Never once ate at the chinese spot across from kroger looked suspect. The malcom x festival at the west end park was right down the street, and I usually ate Yasin's or Soul Vegeterial... LOL and got my books from the shrine. ofthe black madonna. west end aint the same, its gentrified now

    Even if Mos def didnt have ill rhymes he has amazing delivery and hes always making reference to older hip hop songs witch is important now adays because kids dont know anything pre 1996.I bet you are one of those kids thats why you dont like it you dont understand that the rhymes are supposed to sound simplistic.Mos def is AMAZING and dropping smart lyrics with that old school hype sound.You just have no respect for the culture or its roots
