How to Bleach Your Roots at Home Easily in One Round + What NOT To Do!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 лют 2023
- Here's how to bleach your roots from black to nearly white/ a very light blonde in one round using only 20 volume developer! I've never successfully lightened my dark hair in one round with a 20 volume so I was super excited when I was able to achieve the look with even less damage. This works great on natural and curly hair as well as darker hair and can be used on lighter hair to bleach in a shorter amount of time. I hope you find this hair tutorial helpful!

Your rubber banded pre-sections idea is absolutely brilliant!!!!! Also, I can't believe you got that level of lift in only 40 minutes that's amazing!!!
Thank you so much!!! It's oddly hard to find any tips on bleaching curly hair on youtube so I really appreciate that you're so informative and straightforward
I’m so glad you found this video helpful, thank you! 💗 That’s actually why I started my hair dye and bleaching journey on UA-cam, I couldn’t find a single video on how to bleach curly hair and had to learn through trial and error so I documented it until it I found the perfect method!
Girl I’m so happy for you. Having curly hair and bleaching it while trying to maintain healthy hair isn’t easy so I honor you doing that 😻
As a licensed professional I can say 2 things:
1 BlondeMe is the best!
And
2, I love that you used a real scale, bond builder, and mixed the formula correctly! This was a great tutorial for at-home .
do u think it’s okay to bleach roots while on accutane? i cant find any info on this 😢
I have insanely long hair, it is easy to part but im gonna do this tie off method to make sure I don't miss any spots, SUCH a great idea!!! thank you for this!
I've been missing your videos! Im dying for a longer one because we just don't get to see you enough. Your perosnality is so fun and it makes my day when you upload.
the before and after is so insane omg
thanks baby 🥰😘
Emily Susannah shared your tie off tips and I am so glad- genius!!
Omg thank you for telling me!! Thats so cool 🥰💗
Omg the bleached roots looked so good on you 😩 i wanna try that
Wow! Love this tecnique! I have extra curly coarse hair and this will do nicely! thank you!
I hope you find this video helpful! 💗
YESS!! I need to bleach my roots!
What a waste of bleach! don't you know there are people on this planet that have nothing to drink?
Don’t worry, I always share with the thirsty people in my community 🥰
This is a great and very helpful video that I watched the whole thing of even though I will never ever trust myself to bleach my roots at home lmao
ugh this is great. getting curly hair cut and dyed and certain places is just so so expensive and time consuming (part of the expense) that i'd rather just learn how to rely on myself for it.
camille is glowing
omg thank you 🥰💗
@@OffbeatLookwhy you are so dark?

Omg the rubber band method is genius.... gonna try it now ❤
Your hair looks just like mine then I looked and realized we have the same name too lol ❤
Omg no way!! That’s so cool and i love your name 💗
I wanted to thank you so much Camille as your bleaching videos were the only ones I watched that gave me the confidence to go through with it and I did my full head three times to get it white enough for my pastel pink/purple/blue colour melt which I love 💕 but here I am again watching hair tutorials with the dreaded regrowth ruining my marshmallow princess look and every video I’ve watched has giving me anxiety about banding, breakage and overlapping and here you are again with the relaxed solution to my problems once again. You rock!! My self confidence has returned with your simple approach and great attitude I’m deluding myself enough to believe I might stay this level of chill once the bleach touches the developer.
You have given me something extremely helpful for my biggest issue during bleaching which I NEVER see in the comments from other people making me believe I alone have this issue ….. the sectioning. I have bad eyesight even with my glasses on and find mirrors harder to see in if lighting is too bright so this is not optimal for doing my hair at all. My house has shitty lighting at the best of times and not enough of it. So last time I used my phone as a camera zoomed in to see the back of my head which I AirPlayed on my massive tv (which Is perfect for any other blind people out there) but the struggle to be fast enough to get the bleach on while saturating every single strand made me want to cry I ended up doing it in six stages which took forever.
I have super straight really fine hair but I have a lot of fucking hair even though it doesn’t look like it. Last time I paid to get it done at a salon it took over four hours for them to dye it. (Bet they wish they’d listened to me when I said that at the beginning and they told me the price upfront)
You’re the very first person I have seen ever even mention struggling with this and while your issue is your very curly hair your advice would work perfectly for my stupidly never ending fine hair just as well.
TLDR;
Thanks for your valuable tutorials but even more for your rock star confidence. You make me believe I can do it
٩( ᐛ )و
Just in time for me I was bleaching my roots too😊
i love that it's the same hair dye shirt after all these years haha
Literally genius!
Love this! I was just wondering when you say you leave it in for 40mins is that from when you apply the first section? I have a lot of hair (Asian dark hair) and I always find that by the time I finish application I need to wash it off and when I did that using the 20vol it’s now coppery and lighter than the rest of my hair 😭
Awesome video. I have one question. Can you do this method on straight hair too?
Nice. This is how I used to retouch my roots when I had relaxer
FANTASTIC !!!!!!! 😍
Love the red!!! ❤️
Thank you so much! 🥰❤️
awesome! thanks for the tips
Thanks for watching! I’m so glad you found it helpful 🥰
Hey Camille I’m a fan of your videos and wanted to know can you do a video of you reviewing the good dye young hair lightening kit since it’s by Hayley Williams and tell us what you think
Thank you, very helpful
I’m so glad you found my video helpful 🥰
Camille, you're the best 😊
We are both the best, Sarah 🥰
AMAZING!!!!
Thank you!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Omg I love you thank you so much!
Thank you! I love you tooo 🥰
Hello beautiful, I have a few questions...will 20 developer lighten my hair as light as yours if I use a different brand bleach? I usually use 30 or 40. Does the ion bond builder kit really help with decreasing damage? And do you recommend the red hair dye brand xmondo? Oh most important question, for those of us without a bf...how can we find the back of our head? 😂 sorry for all these questions. Your hair is🥰Take care and God bless.
Omg u making me wanna bleach my hair again im tryna wait😭😭🔥🔥
Do it!! I’m waiting
@Camille - Offbeat Look nahhh i gotta wait till it gets past my nose lol
I love your channel I love you are every very style
Awh thank you so much, I really appreciate it!!! ☺️
Hii i was wondering what shampoo and conditioner do u use? Do u use any thing that helps with the bond
Loveee ❤❤❤
Tysm 💗💗💗💗
The directions for the Ion Absolute perfection say to use 1/4 oz of bond builder for every two ounces of mixed bleach . It also says to increase the volume of your developer . Are you intentionally not following the directions ? Just curious if you have a reason . I’ll paste the directions from ion also .
Mix 1 vial ( ¼ oz or 7.5 ml) into 2 oz of bleach mixture. Due to the intense conditioning actives, increase the level of developer 1 full volume for best results. 10 Vol to 20 Vol., 20 Vol. to 30 Vol., 30 vol to 40 Vol.
Is it better to bleach and dye on wet or dry hair?
will these products work for a full head to blesch :0?
In Australia sadly cant get Ion Absolute Perfection Dual Kit! Any reccomdations or other options, or just what to look for?
Hey, how do you measure how much bleach you need?? I've googled and it's just telling me what ratio to use for the mixture, which isn't what I'm asking lmao
I haven’t thought about using bond builder while processing, def gonna try that next time! I’m AMAB non-binary and I’m growing my hair out long but can’t give up bright colors so the damage prevention is needed ❤
Camille using 20 vol? No, I must be on the wrong channel 😆 😂
*cringing at memories of me using 40 vol* 😭
what’s is order do you go in section wise? it looks like you started at the middle
of your head and went back. did you do 1 side all the way to the nape of your neck and then the other side the same and then the front? or middle of head all the way across and down THEN front?
I love your curls your gorgeous!
Thanks so much, beautiful 💗
how long do you let it process and i have brown hair at the bottom/ ends should i bleach that first or roots first?
Greetings from The laundress channel ❤
Greetings!!! 💗
Gooo job❤
Thank you!! 🥰
This is one of the most helpful tutorials I've seen. I'm going to try this technique. How long did this process take you from start to finish? ❤
Do you start timing as soon as you apply or when you finish applying?
Thank you
beautiful
this is all I wanted the hair salon to do for me and they wouldnt do it :/
I’m so sorry! Did they give you a reason why?
The easiest and best way even on curly hair is straightening it out the night before first
I don’t use any heat on my hair because I have already chosen the damage that bleach does so I do my best to minimize any other type of damage to my hair. So this is the least damaging way, but for someone who doesn’t mind straightening their hair, or maybe straightening it on low, it will definitely be easier to section!
wow so very nice
Nice
Hey love, do you still currently use •Joico Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm. I’m trying to find a good deep conditioner for my colored curly hair as well.
I actually just finished my jar! I don’t think they sell it in a jar anymore since every time I look it up it is in a squeeze tube but I think I’m probably going to re-purchase it because although I love trying new products, it’s an all-time favorite!
Got you and thank you for responding. Definitely figuring out a hair care routine for colored hair and maintaining the curls 😩 lol.
Hey! Great, informative vid! Quick question? What was that jar of white stuff at the beginning of the video? Coconut oil?
Thanks!
Very beautiful idia
Hey, Camille! (i hope I spell that right...I don't have my glasses on...) Just a follow-up question...I've seen in your other old videos that you had naturally long hair...why did you cut it? Do you ever miss having long hair? and another question...I have blue and green hair.....it's taking FOREVER to fade out...I used the method of C vitamins on my hair and little bit of 10 vol. developer...and it's still..green and blue...what am I doing wrong?😮💨😞 I also used head and shoulders 2 in 1...is that okay to use to fade the colors out?
Hi! In my older videos, I was much younger and had had way fewer responsibilities and more time for hair and taking care of it plus I started dying on top of hair that was already long. These days I have so much on my plate that I don’t have time for a foot and a half long hair to air dry for seven hours and also don’t really love how much work and weight comes along with having very long hair. I have also started appreciating haircuts more and having healthy hair with no split ends vs long hair with damage. I like how short hair feels, and looks, I love how long hair looks, and I always go back-and-forth between wanting one or the other. Right now I am growing out my hair and it’s the longest it’s been in a while. I think I’ll grow it out for a couple more years and enjoy it and then probably cut it short again haha
For your hair, have you tried grinding up vitamin C into fine powder and then mixing it in water to make a perfect paste and then completely saturating your hair with it and massaging each individual tiny section? That works best for me and is super time consuming but worth it. With those colors it might also be useful to use a color stripper that you can buy at a beauty supply store or worst case scenario, a bleach bath until it is light enough to put whatever color you want on top. Hope this helps!
@@OffbeatLook O.M.G!!! You responded so quickly! lol Thank you for the info--and you're super right on that long hair thing...oof. (didn't even thought of that part). I'll do the method of the grinding up the vitamin C and WHOLE shebang! Thank you soooo much!! Stay safe!!
Yess im trying to reply faster these days in case of hair emergencies haha. Love how we feel the same about long hair haha. And good luck on yours! 💗

Okay looks awesome. But taking those tiny rubber bands out of your hair is the worst thing
They are SO annoying to take out after, but overall it’s worth it in my opinion haha
I just pull them until they snap then it’s much easier to get them out. It’s amazing how much they stretch before snapping (╹◡╹)
