Wasted Years solo cover (Iron Maiden)

- This solo cover is recorded through Line 6 Pod Go Wireless directly to D.A.W. with my own preset. To achieve voice that is similar to Adrian Smith`s guitar, I have added discrete slow flanger, delay and reverb, in addition to my basic setup, which is compressor, OD and Revv Gen. amp. For post-processing: L2A2 compressor.
For anyone who wants to try it - you might want not to use too much distortion/overdrive gain, as the solo is structured in a way that requires high precision and proper tone definition, or it might become too muddy.
A note for hardcore Iron Maidens fans: In the intro part i did a half of strokes on open E on purpose, for two reasons - with so much reverb and delay which create repetitions, I beleive that it provides slightly better accent, and it sounds more natural to my ear considering the sequences of the kick, bass line and hihat in the background. It is just a matter of personal preference and style, of course with all due respect to Adrian Smith and Maidens.

Sorry to break it to you, but you missed the pedal tone part. It is 2 strokes on the open string not 1.

You are correct my friend, and you noticed well. I did it on purpose, as it sounded to me too crowded in the mix with two strokes under reverb and delay, i found it more melodic when played this way (just a matter of personal preference). Thanks for paying attention to details!

Ibanez RG 370 AHMZ ... same one for US market is named RG 470 AHM, and only diferrence between them is a tremolo bridge
God I wish Ibanez made that guitar in an S series. Blue moon burst + maple ❤️

This is RG 370 AHMZ. As far as I know, same model has different label just for US market, which is RG 470 AHM. The only difference between those two is a bridge/tremolo, which is slightly better on US model (label "Z" is for "zero II" bridge, which is ok but not the best bridge that Ibanez has)
