A brilliant furniture maker! Could you imagine a world in which a man of his caliber was elevated in society as a teacher, we have Kardashians. Unbelievable. He should be reveered!
I studied under Jim for 2 years. He is a marvelous cabinetmaker and a beautiful, passionate and romantic craftsman. Over time I've learned how underated he is.

In my view if someone does something or says something that inspires or encourages others in a positive way then that's a good thing. Passion is an expression of love and love is the only real language all humans fundamentally require.
Love this video. I have a plane that was made and signed by James before he passed. He was one of a kind.

This is how you know when passion and craft meet each other... I love his KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) system..👍👍👍
I think Jim’s comment about pistol grips on planes is intriguing and has validity if the operator is unskilled.
Genius Krenov, father of Woodworking Philosophy ;)
I bought one made by him.. Love that smoother.
😊😊
The Master
He sounds like terence mckenna
Cool beans
Well that's a weird-sounding cat.
Strange man reminds me of a elf. His stubbornness for creative independence seems real.
Worlds most overrated woodworker.
Americans love a guru.

I don't find his designs that interesting, but in terms of craftsmanship and finding the best ways to use specific woods he was one of the best.
@@michael.knight listen to him; and don't be hasty in judging. Cheers.
