This is so great, I'm just now seeing this, today I got word of the bela fleck concert in Pensacola, went early. Waited by gate for hours to be first in, it got cancelled due to rain, I sat there dejected, lady came and said he would do a small concert nearby indoors, but no microphones or speakers truly acoustic only enough space for 200 people. I rush and was first person in the door over there after waiting more hours. Bela was like 5 feet from me playing unmiced and raw. Several times I thought it was a recording accept one single uh oh he made which was funny. Dude that man has such a sharp strong tempo you can see it in his hands, head movements, foot tamps. Strong downbeat and feel so quick. Just physically important to take care of yourself cause at his age I think he has sharper reflexes then I do. Such powerful meter really gives him some charisma he's a wonderful man. I'm inspired to say the least. But then I see you, your right there really man, this is killer one day hope to see you perform too
IMHO....the NGR sounded much better when Courtney and Curtis were playing with Sam...Courtney's break on this tune pleases my ear much more than Bela's version.
OK...SPECIAL REQUEST...PLEEEASE...Dig into some of Courtney's breaks from the "Green Album"...anything except Lonesome Fiddle Blues bc I have already dissected that one...took a while!! LOL
