It does look really good but those departure screens look ridiculously high. Dunno how a short person or someone in a wheelchair is expected to look up that high?!
@@steady_94 Yeah absolutely but those kind of features should be readily accessible to all without having to ask for help. Its not really a complex issue just wanting to look at a departure board that you should feel obliged to have to find a member of staff to read it. Just my p.o.v from someone who has had previous work experiences in accessibility and disability awareness. Might email them actually.
@@steady_94 it’s nothing special, Exeter is a good city with a decent bus network that reaches fairly far it’s just plagued with understaffing and underfunding
Wow, I'm impressed! Kinda has similar vibes to the bus stations in Wigan and Bolton. It's certainly a much-needed improvement over the old bus station, and finally brings it up to (if not surpassing) the standard of the other WY giants of Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield and Huddersfield. Got any ideas of any good bus routes to ride out of Halifax if I visit?
Absolutely surpasses other bus stations in WY. Its really well thought out. Most of the longer routes (not the locals) are pretty good. Your 502 to Keighley, 503 to Huddersfield, 576 to Bradford (but the hill out going to Queensbury gives good views from the left side of the bus!) and even the 590/591/592 too.
How many hundreds of pounds have WY Metro wasted by installing a vehicle speed display as the buses drive in the bus station? What possible use is that going to have? How many buses are going to be exceeding the speed limit as they turn a corner into the bus stand? What a joke?! 😅😅😅
Excellent upload. Thank you for sharing. New friend😀😀😀😀😀
Glad you've enjoyed the video! I hope you have subscribed so you don't miss any more uploads!
Great video, Jake and it’s a big improvement on Halifax bus station!

Nice videos I watch em nearly everyday and I’ve subscribed also 15:47 Lonley Streetlite
Might visit that at some point
Its worth spending a few minutes to look around. Its quite visually pleasing
It looks much better than the old one
At least in the old one u could find the Route stands in this one confusing I Give 2 Stars for this new one

Suppose there's folk on hand to help

@@YorkshireBusGuy Oh of course, I absolutely agree. I'd like to see them put in the exterior departure boards that they did at Leeds
@@steady_94 yes definitely that would be good too. Maybe there are other add ons and tweaks yet to come??
That's a lovely bus station Jake! It's what Exeter Bus Station should've been, a good size as well
Yet to get there myself. Perhaps one to add to the list

Big question 🙋🏻♂️ Any Scanias there? 😂
They need a X bus service to Leeds and Huddersfield like Bradford bus station has
Like the X8 that ran briefly, years ago?
@@steady_94 yeah x63 as well

@@steady_94 given how nice a town Halifax is to explore, I totally agree!
Are there any routes to Wakefield?
@@AymanTravelTransport Not directly. You'd have to go via Huddersfield and get 231/232 or go to Cleckheaton on 255 and change to a 268
Quicker catching Wakefield bus from Bradford
@@allisonalexander3569 to go to Halifax?
No Gregg's yet!!
There's space for one hehehe
Council wants a shop and possibly a cafe by January/Feb when it's fully open
In all fairness it’s very similar to the derby bus station?
In what way? Derby is one row of stands
@@steady_94 the layout almost, the one side that is finished is similar.
@@harrys.transport I'd argue Derby has bigger waiting areas on each stand, but yeah I see where you're coming from
@@steady_94 they do. And Arriva branded seats
When was this filmed?
Monday

Just Metro's standards I suppose
Well am not impressed by it Not many Buses go in there ATM Still some bits Need Finishing it off I Wonder where The School Buses Will park in there
You've gotta give them time. Obviously they're having to do sections at a time due to the restricted space
