i got one of these machines and i really like it, i wash my diffuser out before and after use by running a single shot over the empty basket, it also helps heat up for use ,i have set the concave to 3 inside the grinder and use 7 on the fine-corse adjustment wheel on the outside i get 6 double shot cups from the hopper before having to refill, always have a damp cloth handy to wipe the milk wand as well as the inside of the diffuser holder in the machine. and i aim to run a pressure at 11o'clock on the gauge. i use filtered water to fill the tank even though it has a filter inside. my water tastes better after being filtered then what comes out of my tap . the deffuser funnel is a must for not making mess under the grinder as it holds the peak of grounds before tamping. love good coffee and this makes great coffee at home

Great review and on point. Worse coffee machine, ever. If you just want I nice cup of coffee it’s the wrong machine. If you like coffee bu5 don’t understand the science, you will rip your hair out over it, and never get a decent cup of coffee. I really think they should be taken off the market.
The hopper size is fine, coffee beans go stale after about 3-5 days in a hopper due to air and light damage. Light is really bad for coffee so a small hopper is actually preferred. You should purge a single shot of water before and after every brew. It keeps everything clean. The pressure is incredibly important, it should always be within the black range. Don’t use palm tappers... Also, never tamp a mound of coffee, you end up having a thicker and uneven compression of coffee. It greatly risks channeling. To prevent spills, tap the sides of the PF with your tamper while it’s grinding. Then gently tap on your counter and it will evenly distribute the beans. Consistent and evenly pressed coffee is vital. That grinder is okay for entry level but will need to be upgraded to a stand alone eventually.
