Can you imagine your first night on the job as a ride attendant, you arrive there and get amazed by all the bright lights and the big crowds and then you ask the supervisor where I am I working, and then takes you to the back of the place where its all dead, and after 4 hours the supervisor asks how you doing? and you say no one is here, no one has asked to ride on this. lol
What a snazzy cultural set up within this theme park love it.

Global Village has been my favorite place to visit! The most important thing is the rides!
This is gonna be a BANGER!!!!
The Global Burj drop tower is the best ride at this park without a doubt, and I think it’s probably the best drop tower I’ve ever written. Keep in mind that I only rode a couple so I didn’t get to experience drop towers such as Zuman Jaro or Lex Luthor. However out of the ones I have experienced I prefer Global Burj the most. The theme is so good and I love the drop sequence. Also I am so glad that they let you film on ride POV‘s.

I loved the global Village as it was incredible and looked amazing with all the countries and the lights it's a pity the uk doesn't have this kind of thing.

I really like Korea, Japan and Thailand and a lot of people here in Cornwall and Devon have been very negative towards the culture and language. So I’m not sure it will go down well
That's why all the rides at these places are quiet, everything is so expensive. Makes sense lol still dont know how they survive for years and make money to keep it open.
The shopping complex looks very interesting, the amusement park section reminds me of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.

Visited in 2019. Absolutely loved it. Fly France however was such a disappointment. It spinned so slowly that I could not manage a single loop, and that for like €7-ish. Although I like that they don't seem to have increased the prices in the last 5 years, unlinke fairs in Europe.
Definitely want to go back one day. It's so beautiful!
The locals in the UAE love a cheap night out or something free that’s why it’s always busy here compared to the theme parks !! Locals are not willing to pay £60 to get into a theme park or pay £30 for a few rides in an indoor amusement park ! When I went to Global Village in December 2019 you literally couldn’t move for the amount of people yet just a few hours before we was at IMG Worlds of Adventure (which is literally a 10min drive away) was completely empty

I loved the look of Charlotte's mac and cheese as that's 1 of my fav foods lol.
Isn’t the pricing similar to winter wonderland/travelling carnivals in the uk. Just taking one example 32 points for a ride would roughly be about £6 if you assume 1 point = 1 dirham and some rides at winter wonderland are around £9/10
It seems so when you break it down!

Global Village is one of the BEST places in the world for food and you get a portion of chips?
It’s such a great place! We had a big meal before visiting so only wanted a snack!

what equipment do you use for vlogs,POVS etc?
We use a Sony camera for the vlogs and GoPro for the POV’s

Drop tower 42 points £8.40
Ghost train 25 points £5
Ferris Wheel 60 points £12 (£6 x 2)
Vekoma 35 points £7.00
Not too bad in my opinion but is more on the expensive side especially with the short cycles.
Similar what I was thinking watching this vlog. The drop tower he said wasn’t worth it is equivalent to £8.40, but in winter wonderland last month the tower he deemed “worth it” was £9? Make it make sense

It seems that the whole purpose of that park is relieve you of your money, you can't even haggle over the prices like
traditional Arabian street Bazaars!.
I really hate getting ripped off whether a park or a restaurant or whatever!
I'm sorry, but this is the major "Theme"in their parks.

It can be quite a hassle walking around some areas, however it’s best to just keep walking!

Enjoying seeing your trip but is their a problem with your camera? It all seems to be a bit jittery which is a little bit uncomfortable to view.apologoes if this has already been mentioned and addressed
We can only use the tripod in certain parks and areas in Dubai unfortunately

This park is run by Mellors entertainment U.K. or at least they got the contract.
They only had it until 2019 according to their website

It used to be, however that changed quite a few years ago!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide Well they bought Teststrecke for the Dubai contract in 2020. So I wonder where Mellors is operating in Dubai or the emirates now then.
Looks like winter wonderland on steroids and with summer climate. I'll let Charlotte off for not going on drop tower it looked huge. I am well behind on these vlogs, loving all of them so far.

I'm glad you try to always go on the dark rides, even at the risk of them not being that good. Always appreciate seeing them. However, I actually think you were a bit harsh on that ghost train - it didn't look too bad from my point of view. Quite a few creepy animatronics and scenes. I think you've definitely been on worse! 😆👻

A question closer to home been told there no new flats this year at alton towers hope that's no true image how big the qs are going be wow
There’s no plans for new flats this year as far as we know!
@ThemeParkWorldwide they really need to invest in towers they are making it look worn down and lack of rides pbp is looking much better which is a sad thing I hope they bring it back to life when I worked there it was amazing place to work and go ppl never had a bad word to say

I assumed this was the World's Fair, which ended up being held in 2021 due to COVID
That’s a separate area known as Dubai Expo 2020!

Hey Shawn I’ve currently got a terrible cough. Honestly, it’s so bad that if you were here, you’d need to wear full PPE! You’d need a mask, gloves and everything I would approve of! But your videos help me out. I’d say I’m starting to feel better now. I haven’t been coughing as much today.

Always buy your currency from your bank at home before you travel Shawn, you pay current exchange with no commission, it will save you a lot over paying in pounds or even exchanging in country.
We use starling and it works out the best deal with the live exchange rate!

I think that light up text on the Ferris wheel is from another wheel. New tech that creates a spinning screen. It’s a projection on the arms of a spinning device. A few toys were made like that with two arms that project images and animations.
It’s very cool!

The rules are definitely more relaxed now than they used to be, so they are heading in the right direction it seems
