    A Certain Ratio and Mute are pleased to announce the launch of a long awaited series of reissues, out on 24 November 2017. The series will launch with the reissue of a selection of the Manchester’s band’s albums and will continue into 2018 with a compilation in April, followed by further releases and a rarities box set.

    Apart from the singing, this exactly the sort of music that plays in my head and I want to compose. Someone has beat me to it. Progressive funk. Primus with a rhythm guitar in a sense.

      try listening to gang of four, the rapture, some talking heads (mostly remain in light era). moving units. dance punk it's the genre your looking for my man..

    ACR were on Factory Records at same time as New Order and previously Joy Division . . Force .... Released in 1985/6 is a good album . Songs like Mickey Way , Fever 103° good songs .

      some of rhythm of JD as they come from the same background but ACR 's sound is more complete as it includes more influences such as jazz, samba and funky. I love them!

      Not just a similar accent- Simon Topping (or Jez Kerr?)'s tonality and phrasing is breathtakingly similar to Curtis's. Shaun Ryder never sang like dat! 8D

      Production was the similarity. Not their voices, and identities. There is a huge space between each artist’s aim.
