seven thousand and a hundred islands, AMAZING!!!, one island in a thousand awaits yet to be discovered,,,,, discover, explore and experience the thrills around and HAVE MORE FUN IN THE pHILIPPINES,,,,
THUMBS UP FOR THIS! :))
Great vid! Missing the Philippines so much.. But thanks to this vid... it takes me back to my country and all the beautiful things about it. To haters, travel the country first before you make ill informed judgments.
Napakaganda ng mga tourism ads natin years ago. Ano kaya nangyari?
@ashmantoronto I was raised as an english-speaker but up until now, I try to talk in tagalog because my heritage traits back to the Philippines. I also got my pride from my asian friends who were born here but are fluent in their language. I'm slightly emberassed that I can't speak Tagalog very well. Maybe you were raised not knowing much about the Philippines, but I was raised how to love that country as much as I love Canada. I love the countries of my birth and blood.
May God be merciful to you, let Him change your heart, stop the criticisms, and I pray that He change your views of the people around you, for we are created by one God, meaning we are all brothers and sisters here, what you say to us reflects what your heart contains, if it is full of hatred then all you say is hate. Let the Holy Spirit have the space in your heart, and let us all be the instrument of God's love, amen.
stop arguing about racist stuff...just enjoy the features of the Philippines! We're all in the same species anyway and dont waste the time remaining in your life by saying racist remarks. peace!
@ashmantoronto We all have had different experiences. Whenever I go to the Philippines and say "I'm Canadian" they all crowd around me as if I'm some sort of celebrity. When I attempt to speak in tagalog, they help me out or laugh because of my silly accent. Maybe it's just the "older generation" who have the extreme Filipino pride because as far as I know, a lot of the "new generation" are into K/J-Pop or K/J-Dramas and acting East Asian.
@musicluver85 A little background on me, I'm well-travelled, thus I am more open minded with accepting what nationality, background or ethnicity people want to claim they are to be. An Israeli who now claims he's American, a Korean girl who is now British, I knew a kid from New Zealand who lives in Manila now and is a proud 'Filipino', a Canadian who says he is Brazilian at heart, and a Brazilian who is now a proud Canadian...I've met them all and happy for them. Filipinos should learn from that
The Philippines like any other countries in the world has its own problem. I don't deny that. I've lived both the 3rd world and the 1st world. Both have their own issues that needed fixing... not just the place, but also the people that live in there. This video promotes Philippine tourism. If you don't like it, kindly skip.
I feel very sad because of what i've read here.. Hope all the comments with improper words would be deleted,, i want to post this on my wayn account to show how beautiful my country is but i dont want my friends to read what i have read here.. Makes me feel bad.
@ashmantoronto "Oh, I'm from Canada. I'm proudly Canadian." Don't need to be like that. I don't go around saying "I'm proudly Canadian" when I could just say the plain old "I'm from Canada." Sure, I feel the pride but it's better to be humble because if you say "I'm proudly Canadian," it sounds like you're bragging. Sure, Canada is a great country but it has its flaws. I was born and raised in Canada but I have mutual feelings for both of my countries.
@ashmantoronto Okay but it doesn't matter because you're who you are. I'm boh proudly Canadian and Filipino, although I'm slightly more proud to be Filipino than Canadian.
Pug's post is barely understandable so i'll just disregard it... On the other hand, This was a nice ad campaign even though its a bit old but go Philippines :)
and . . . do we really have to point out our city's flaws to everyone? These kinds of comments on a tourism ad doesn't serve any purpose than lose visitors to our neighbors.
@musicluver85 I just REALLY hate the fact that a lot of Filipinos here are TOO attached about their roots unlike other Asian cultures. When I say 'I'm Canadian' you know how many Filipinos raise their eyebrow at me and think that I'm ashamed of being Filipino? How fair is that??? I'm proud of being Filipino, frankly I'm glad I am! But this extreme Filipino PRIDE is getting too old for me and quite annoying and hypocritical. They're so proud when a white man speaks Tagalog but not the other way.
@stoneroses13 Bakit ba Pilipino pa nangungunang magpromote ng bad publicity about Pilipinas? This is an ad for Philippine Travel catered to foreign tourists na pwedeng maging engine ng bansa for economic growth.
@ashmantoronto Okay, soooorrryy kiddo. I'm a proud Canadian too but where I live, it sucks balls because of the 12% tax and the Olympics in which us BC residents have to pay off.
@itrytobe dude, did I NOT say I'm Filipino?? I'm not 'pretentious' like some people. I say I'm Filipino if they ask my background (some people say 'half Spanish' GET REAL!) but I'm a real proud Canadian, and when I say that that's when people treat me like they want to spit on my face. Like, WHAT GIVES?! I wasn't talking about remembering my heritage, I was talking about identifying myself. That's different. So don't you DARE put me as an 'example' of your scam.
If you want to insult Filipinos by posting nasty comments, you won't get far. We have hello kitty baseball bats..and that's something original. If you think you are good looking, and have something to brag about..........Think again!
@ashmantoronto Alright, alright. Sure it gets annoying but I live in an area where Filipinos are white-washed so I don't see those kinds of Filipinos often.
@ashmantoronto Chill out. I never said you hated the Philippines. It's not just Filipinos. Just saying. I know a few more races that think the same as us. It's usually asians who have this "issue". I can back up my statement with personal experience.
I also love the Philippines but i hope it does`nt become overrun with tourists. ghadakbar, i think your a bit unfair against the Filipinos, every country has it`s undesirables, especially the country where you are !
PHILIPPINES IS A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY! But it has major problems that needs to be stop immediately. OVER-POPULATION, there are now 95 millions people in PI and 2 millions more will be added next year. These people require jobs, housing, land, food, etc. PI resources can only support so many people. Most countries are doing something to have ZERO population growth, like China, Singapore, Japan and etc. And most countries in Europe like Germany, Italy and others has almost zero population growth.
@itrytobe This is what I don't understand about Filipinos, they're such hypocrites. I'm Filipino by roots but I'm a proud Canadian - which means I can relate more to being Canadian than Filipino, there is NOTHING wrong with saying that. When foreigners in the Philippines say 'I want to be Filipino' we get excited and proud of the guy, but when a fellowman who moves to another country feels like he belong there more, you guys bash them. This is a Filipino trait that I absolutely hate.
@musicluver85 That wasn't the point...you don't even know the root of the conversation. Go READ the conversation before making assumptions of what I said. Thank you. The root of it goes all the way from itrytobe attacking aa3gunner which unfortunately you can't see now. But, WHATEVER dude, you don't know me lol. I'M A FUCKING PROUD CANADIAN, am I bragging? NO, I'm just saying I am proud of what I've become. But you can think whatever you want
Correction: Australians, please come to Hong Kong and Thiland. You'll find them much better than the Philippines. Oh! Indonesia as well, Perth is the city closer to Indonesia. Note: I am Filipino, and as you can see we can speak better "English" than you do. Go back to school before you comment on videos about the Philippines saying that it's a dirty country. I pity you for we are educated and you are not. Do you understand me? Or should I translate this on Google Translate?
simple, direct. best tourism campaign ever

Dick Gordon didn't waste time, budget and energy when he was in office. Great leadership, visionary.

May God be merciful to you, let Him change your heart, stop the criticisms, and I pray that He change your views of the people around you, for we are created by one God, meaning we are all brothers and sisters here, what you say to us reflects what your heart contains, if it is full of hatred then all you say is hate.
