Stu, thanks to your additional information, I completed the project, including swapping the capacitor from the booster-only output to the "all output" position. I had bought the booster a few years ago but your project helped to house it and make it functional for my "field" outings, such as driving to the Ventura Marathon aid station locations to check repeater coverage and powering my
Yaesu FT 857D from my Jeep with the engine off.

Stu, great test and an easy build, but for one thing. You probably should put a fuse into the output as a safety feature. Otherwise GREAT !!!

Thanks for the info about the booster. I just bought one (the 15A version) for power mi SS9900 from battery and I'll follow your guide for the project, also the issue with the capacitor (I saw your video talking about the boots converted)

Excellent! I am going to build one to smooth out the 13.8 VDC output of my solar generator (Inergy Flex 1500)..

Been testing and have doctored the design a bit to incorporate a higher rated switch. I'm also testing some designs using a high amp relay.

      Hi Pedro,
I've linked the four major components in the description. As for the miscellaneous parts, I typically source them from Amazon of Mouser.
      Hope that helps,
