Thanks for uploading this, it was interesting to watch, especially their behavior; how they immediately submitted and chewed to the elder horses. The older horses maybe pinned their ears to them, but when the babies chewed the older guys lost interest in them. Lucy was a sweetie, running and getting the babies to run some too, I saw those perked little tails like; "Run, let's play!"
The challenges of making the best of the situation are apparent. The importance of a positive non aggressive atmosphere are really seen. My best wishes to your work.
The way you could tell with foals on how long they have been with their mother is by this age their body size presto has a smaller body size compared to the other
Question, Stacy....I see the foals moving their mouths....open and close.....open and close....Do you know why they do this.....? My little foal did this when I introduced him to an older member of my herd and I could not figure out why Little COCO was doing this. I was thinking maybe he's saying something like, "I'm just a little guy, so I'm no threat. I just want to be your friend"...! Will you let me know what you think this means..? THANK YOU..!!
