I am so glad to hear that Hunter gets such benefit from the social media and it is so nice to see people reaching out to to him and you. I think social media gets a tough rap, as I am very sure it has benefited me all my life.....of course I was in the computer industry for 35 years so it is sort of 2nd nature. (and I go all the way back to Fidonet BBS systems running one myself)
Anyways, Hunter seems like a great guy, and I'm thrilled to him getting a fan base. Say hello to Hunter for me too!
I enjoy the channel.....keep up the good work.

Big contrast in the weather its -3 celsius here. Mike watching you cut boards is therapeutic, the cherry looks very much like the myrtle paneling I have in my house. Melissa I have to relocate about 5-6 snakes every summer from around the house, so it wouldn't be your cup of tea. Glad Hunter is enjoying all the interaction, say hello to him.

IBC totes for fire wood are awesome. Organized easy to move around not only for a tractor but also a pallet/power lift jack. They are so multi purpose and handy. I just can't believe I had them for years and never used for firewood. Loading, unloading, distribution to customers saves the back and so simple. ❤️

It was soothing to my soul watching that cherry log turned into boards. It wasn't a premium log yet it still yielded some excellent boards for the inside walls of the blind. Excellent value, native cut lumber is the best imo... Being the miser that I am, I would not hesitate to touch up the blade with a file to extend it's usable life. Good idea to keep a back-up blade on hand in either case methinks...
In closing I want to say this: " When I grow up, I want a wife just like Melissa! Lol...

Mike, from a “Melissa’s safety perspective” you might consider retracting the powerhead and having her off load the boards from the other side of the mill. That way Melissa wouldn’t have to step over and through the mill frame and log bunks as the boards would be close to the side of the mill. That would lower the risk of her stumbling and falling, especially with wider and heavier boards. The more time I spend around bandsaw and chainsaw mills, chippers, chainsaws, and related vehicles the more opportunities I see to reduce risks... and keep it fun!

Hey there Mike and Melissa, years ago I tried to pay the bills chopping firewood and also making furniture. You surely know that hardwood like cherry is super expensive, but firewood is dirt cheap. If you can partner with a hardwood company, or a furniture maker, you will get great advice as to what they need in terms of species of trees, dimensions of wood, etc. I know you can find a way to saw-n-sell that cherry and oak. Best of luck and God bless you guys. Oh, say hello to your 27-year-Old cool dude.

Mike, I don't think indoor paneling needs to be any thicker than 1/2" to 3/4". You'll save some weight and squeeze a few more boards out of every log. Also, what do you think of making a temp tunnel of bent PVC pipe and plastic (anchor the ends in concrete blocks)? Space the hoops so you can still get in there with the forks to load logs. Keeps the weather off the mill and you can keep working in the rain to collect material for the permanent structure.
