Apologies for the sloppiness in today’s video. I’ve left an outtake in and I forgot my notes. It was a bit rushed to be fair. I thought there were some interesting facts there that I thought people might like though.
You’ve worked too hard to establish a good reputation to publish videos below your previous standard Kev. Please take this the right way - I think you’d be best re-shooting and re-publishing and going back to explore when the pub is open. Think your channel is great mate and want it to stay that way for you above all 👍🏻
@@Kevcupo nice one Kev, intrigued to know what it’s like inside. Walked down that street 100’s of times and have never been inside. Also didn’t know it’s been since 1726 so thanks for educating us. Love these local history videos that you do 👍🏻
Kev I was told years ago that there is an actual ancient well in a shop in Liverpool? Is that true? or did I just hear that wrong?love the channel Kev Godbless for 🕊
Thanks, Kev! The stained glass windows inside are impressive! The Beatles used to drink in this pub sometimes when they were appearing at the Cavern Club! Happy NY to you and the family (best wishes to your mum - what a star she is!) 🎉🎉
It's probably my favourite pub in the city centre that pub mate..that North End area of the city is the best for pubs..don't bother with the tourist pubs and bars.
My father in law was manager of this pub Thomas Malone it was a gentleman’s only pub and was buzzing in the 60s and 70s when he was there. Yes the cellar was upstairs. I remember when it opened to women in 1976. ❤
If you had gone into Rigbys courtyard you can see the back of ye hole in ye wall too. Rigbys also an old pub so it would be interesting to go back and do an extended vid on both pubs and the Lady of Mann adjoining them both. Frequented there in the 80’s on Friday afternoons when the pubs closed at 3pm. They stayed open and did the hottest chilli’s I’ve ever had. They insisted you had a drink with it!
Mad this keV I was in town today in the car and said the exact same thing, people don't look up enough in Liverpool because we have some of the most unreal buildings and a lot of people don't really see them to appreciate them. My Auntie had a pub on tithebarn street called the Brunswick vaults and I used to walk around that's part town as a kid with my auntie and cousins and use to always love looking up at the buildings. I didn't know there was a Quaker burial ground there. Off the subject mate you should have a look of St Anthony's church on Scottie road. I have Irish ancestors who came over and grew up in the roads facing the church. So I done a little research about the church and it was proper interesting mate 👍🏻
Nice video Kev. With it being closed when you were there reminded me of a poem from way back, all I can remember of it is ...... The world's just like that pub on 'ackins 'ey, towels on the taps all bl**ding day.
Sit outside the Richmond in the night ! It’s haunted as ! 7 of us having a drink outside we all seen a big shadow and half of our drinks were lashed off the table ! Unbelievable as I never believed in anything like that
I believe Quakers liked their oats ? We have been in the hole in the wall, and it's a great traditional pub. Lots of nooks and crannies. As you said Kevin a ghost hunt would be great because of the graves near by.
Sure that pub is in the tom slemen hàunted pubs book robin has it for you. Was down there tonight with blankets for them just drop off. Is it the oldest one still open I thought there was one older than that about 12years older than blue coat chambers. Like to see inside it shame.
Just this snippet of info tells that there is a wealth of history in not just the pub, but the whole street. Pick any building or street & it will have a history. I know you will do this type of stuff again, so I'm not trying to teach your grandmother to suck eggs. LOL. People just instantly engage when it's something that they are interested in & the best part is that we don't have to try & find any info because you have already done it. But because I am not from up there, your explorations are a great way to view a city, especially through the eyes of a local taxi driver / University student / drone operator / UA-camr. But I hardly know any..... well apart from the 1 & only.... Mr KC Imageworks himself. You are looking far more relaxed & it's great to see.
@@Kevcupo It was great, Kev, lets put it this way, If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have taken any notice of it. You know the saying... Keep Calm & Carry On. You are doing fine la !!! 😃

That was good Kev,oldest pub on Merseyside is the Scotch Piper in Lydiate. Dates from 1320!
👍 Look forward to your return.... I think I have actually been in there 🤔
Thanks, Kev!

I’ll see if I can get people to talk on camera
Coffee House, Woolton Village -built,
1642. In 1913 it became the oldest pub in Liverpool.
Oh that’s interesting
Over the last couple of years, I have been in it ... its a lovely traditional pup with friendly people in it.
It's probably my favourite pub in the city centre that pub mate..that North End area of the city is the best for pubs..don't bother with the tourist pubs and bars.
Yeah I love the “old man’s” pubs myself
I love Billy Moore, but KC Imageworks is 💯💯 🔥 🔥🔥
Thank you Dawn, I wouldn’t go that far though
@Kevcupo Nah I've got a low key crush on Kev 😊😊
My father in law was manager of this pub Thomas Malone it was a gentleman’s only pub and was buzzing in the 60s and 70s when he was there. Yes the cellar was upstairs. I remember when it opened to women in 1976. ❤
That’s a fantastic bit of info
The coffee house in Woolton was built in 1646 ,
The building was built in 1646 but didn’t become a pub until 1754

Interesting video, had no idea it was even there. Some decent history around the Woolton/Gateacre area that might be worth a video in future?
I might check it out one day
Nice one Kev! If you get a chance to do ye Cracke or the Globe that would be great. Great coverage as always KC. Cheers! YNWA
Thank you I’ll check them out

I’ll try my best to get somewhere sorted
@Kevcupo Nice one Kev. Up the Mighty reds 💪
Sit outside the Richmond in the night ! It’s haunted as ! 7 of us having a drink outside we all seen a big shadow and half of our drinks were lashed off the table ! Unbelievable as I never believed in anything like that
Wow that sounds right up my street Paula
Wow have never seen these pubs they are beautiful ❤ need to see them .
Get yourself down there, it’s interesting
Thats a new build compared to some in Newcastle 1582 the old George inn 😂👍
I reckon the proprietors might spread them haunted stories to attract customers 😂
Exactly that, I know I would 😂
I wouldn't stay in it on my own after dark
Neither would I 🤣
I believe Quakers liked their oats ? We have been in the hole in the wall, and it's a great traditional pub. Lots of nooks and crannies. As you said Kevin a ghost hunt would be great because of the graves near by.
Yeah it would be interesting to get in there
@Kevcupo I bet you could ? It's definitely worth a shot
Oh I’ll definitely ask
Looking forward to your next visit to the pub
Hopefully be a bit more interesting next time

The cellar is upstairs rather than the basement...i can understand why lol.

Pete price frequents there
Hi Kev keep it up 👍 Do the haunted ones again with mr drone
If I can find a decent location, I will

Thank you so much, still very uneasy in front of people though. Which is why there were so many mistakes in todays video
@@Kevcupo It was great, Kev, lets put it this way, If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have taken any notice of it. You know the saying... Keep Calm & Carry On. You are doing fine la !!! 😃
Two boss pubs in that street
Ye hole was one of John lennons favourite haunts “ excuse the pun “
It’s on the Beatles tourist list “ I think “
you might be thinking of Ye Cracke actually! I would love to see Kev do a piece on that one it is off Hope st.
man in a red top walks into the bar? bit vague
That’s all I had to go off 🤷♂️
Sounds like the start of a joke, can anyone make up a good punchline though? 😂
Man in a red top walks in to a bar, and ask do you sell shorts, yes replied the bar man, we’ll give us a pair because I’ve just shit mine
You've got such a north end accent Kev 😆
Kirkdalien 😂
You and Mr Drone shit your pants in The William Shakespeare in Stanley Road
Correct
It's pronounced "The" something to do with when printing presses were first invented.
Oh right, you learn something new
Still enjoyed the vid though. Wasn't having a go. Just thought it was a bit of info to pass on. It was told to me when talking about that very pub👍

Hi Kev, so the pubs haunted, I wonder if it serves spirits, 🫢
🤦
