Glad you liked it :) It's such a catch 22 for me as I still get lots of value from the platform in terms of connections.... follow me on LinkedIn.. lol www.linkedin.com/in/shaunacole/
If I didn't know any better I would say that LinkedIn is doing engagement farming, where the algorithm encourages the cringe worthy posts, because, people are engaging with it.
Thanks for sharing. The way engagement works on the platform often favors posts that spark comments and reactions, which can create this kind of cycle for sure. Definitely an interesting take!
This video speaks to me powerfully. I had to block five people who were promoting Ablism views to me as a neurodivergent that there is only one resume that recruiters will read.
@ It was a general job searching group and I now know how you feel when you got that nasty email. I got that same type of email last monday from the community adminstrator saying that I was “distrubing the group dymamic” I put that stuff in ChatGPT and it was ablist and it was supported by an article that I read last week. It was the Open To Work Community group on LinkedIn.
@@ShaunalCole It was the same type of email that you gotten a few weeks ago. They illustrated that I was disturbing the group dynamic. That was the Ablism-like comments according to ChatGPT.
Just don't use it as another Facebook or Instagram platform. I use LinkedIn only to update my profile or to keep track what few companies in my field are doing.
Yes, but you always get the “promoted” posts in your newsfeed. If you are searching for a job, you are using the app more, which increases the number of these posts you see. The HR ghoul who thinks he is unique because he did the bare minimum for the applicant, the CEO who supposedly values his employees, the annoying startups who invent toasted bread every day, the business consulting firms (such as PwC) which have no connection with you actual profession… The cringe is unescapable. Agree?💯
When people ask me why I don't like linkedin I struggle to articulate it. This video is it. So insightful 👏🏻

The fact that this disconnect exists is precisely what's wrong with everything in the world right now!
😂😂😂😂😂 perfect timing... just deleted the app off my phone.
loll! Hearing so much of this! So many folks are just over it right now (due to the cringe!)

It's so important to have clear goals on LinkedIn to make the most of it ;) www.linkedin.com/in/shaunacole/
