I'm not aware if anyone have told you yet, but Till Lindemann (the Singer), is a certificed pyrotechnician and does all their fireworks.
Not entirely true. He stopped working out the fireworks because of several accidents. A special crew makes the fireworks now for years. Till has still a say in this but doesn't really get involved in the work.
They put on a very incredible show. The German language is so hard sounding it fits metal so well.

Oh yea, more Rammstein reactions please! I'd recommend Ich Tu Dir Weh and Rammlied from Madison Square Garden, and Du Hast and Mutter from Paris.
Rammstein is one of the rare bands where you react to every song twice: one to the music video/studio version and once to the live show. (Some reactors even react to some of the remixes, e.g. most react to mein Herz Brennt twice as it has two versions with two music videos)
Saw them live in Los Angeles colosseum it was amazing .
You are so right man, so right!! They are not just musicians, they are artists! Both live, and in the videos.
Definitely check out Du Hast Live in Paris, it's so good! Rammstein is unparalleled live, the theatrics and pyro is insane.
The guitarists stand there "Like guards" because they have EXTREMELY specific blocking in order to not get roasted.
Also, a few years later they did "Wings Mk2", adding a footplate and allowing Till (the singer) to "take flight"
This song is soooo powerful! The chorus kinda means "God knows i dont want to be an angel when i die" if im not mistaken

Rammstein live is the next level of live performances. The MV´s though are pure art. Check "Deutschland" and "Zeit", with Subtitles and don´t skip the outros.
Sorry to hear that you won't do a reaction on "Du hast" live in Paris. It would really be worth watching and hearing what you think about that performance. And I guess the rest of the community may appreciate and enjoy it too. But in the end it's your decision if you do so. 🙂

@@sevsimo there is one exception. for their song "Deutschland" you want to see the video. One of the best music videos ever made. A better production than most Netflix movies.
This is the one band where you can watch more than once yet for the first time! Official video, live and sometimes acoustics each such a different experience. My recommendation would be mein Herz brennt or for vid and live mein Teil. Welcome down the rabbit hole and thanks for your appreciation of the guitarists!

You need to also do a reaction to "Du hast" live even if you already watched the music Video. The live Version of "du hast" in Paris is one of their best live performances ever with the best pyrotechnics
German "ei" sounds like english "i".. Once upon a time, some technician messed something up with tgeur fireworks so they had a problem. After that Till Lindemann went and became a certified pyrotechnician himself. All this is designed by him. You can't beat Rammsein's live shows, but there is Zeit official vid, that is totally worth your time. Also, check out Mein Teil live in Paris. That is a thing that you will not see anywhere else and after seeing it, you are not able to forget it.
If you liked the live show here already from the song, the one from the "Mein Teil" song will just surprise you.

Ich Tu Die Weh is one of my favorites to listen too at the moment along with Deutschland & Ich Will. Rammstein have so many bangers it's hard to pick one favorite, and I can't wait to see them in concert if they ever make it to New Zealand, I am a new fan of Rammstein. I only found their music a week ago. I can't think that a concert gets any better than this, I agree Rammstein is on another level. They are so Unique and a band that needs to be experienced Live. I get captivated watching Rammstein and I have to listen & watch them on UA-cam every day I'm so hooked on this band, they have now become my new favorite.
I personally don't think there is another band that do it Better than Rammstein.
I think you should experience Du Hast Live just for the pyrotechnics.

The keyboard player is an absolute nutter. Cant help but to just❤❤❤ this band.. i rember in an interview they asked him WTF is up with the tredmil?
He said he gets green from jealousy because when the music hits he cant do anything coz he is also a sound engineer. (He doesnt just play the keys he mixes in all the exta sounds and voice effects. You must check out around him all that keyboars , synthesizer and mixers ) while all the other guys can headbang and move as they want..😂😂😂😂 He said it becomes to much to handle to keep that energy in.

The amazing thing about this whole setup is , is that it is not a special occasion that is how they do it every time. They always ad stuff never ever ,waters it down. They love their fans coz one thing i can say is as the show production got more expensive to them they made sure to get bigger venues they didnt ad the price to the tickets. The sell out any place very quickly. Till Lindeman is 60 years young. But

Rammstein is my fav band of all time but Till Lindemann's lyrics are complex. I think sometimes people listen to the music and don't realize the lyrics. Ich tu Der weh example. This is his best song to me but it's because the lyrics mean something to me. Du Hast is probably the most fun

This is a band I really must see! Been a for decades now and still have not had the opportunity to check them out! Right up there with Nightwish for bucket list bands!

i saw rammstein live twice and i strongly recommend to react to open air shows because there they go even more over the top with their legendary shows
they have several live dvds so there is enough material to chose from XD
their concept is to make a specific live show for every song and keep that like for ever and then mix the concerts up its awesome

The wings are said to weigh 50 kg. It's unbelievable how Till (the singer) manages it. To endure the heat, to keep the balance, not to torch the stage and band members and ... oh yes, I forgot: to sing, too😅😅. There is no one who would even try😈🤘

I recommend "Rammlied" next. Less pyro but other effects and an impressively powerful sound.
The best Rammstein concert (my personal opinion) is the 'Rammstein Volkerball live Les Arenes de Nimes Full Concert' (ua-cam.com/video/gXivJ24J2uU/v-deo.html). What makes it so amazing is that it took place in an old roman amphitheater in France. And it has this very close and dense atmosphere, because it has quite an audience, but because of the amphitheather they are all kind of close together. Hmm, difficult to express. The pyros are better in later concerts, but the atmosphere, man I'd wish I had been there ...
Anyway, songs to watch from this concert 'Asche zu Asche', 'Mein Teil', 'Benzin', 'Du riechst so gut' and OF COURSE 'Sonne' (although the 'official video' for Sonne is very good too). Otoh how could you leave out 'Feuer frei', the crazy interaction with the crowd in 'Ich will' or the oozing heavyness in 'Rammstein'. And 'ohne dich' ... and ... and ...
... Ahh dang it, you gotta watch the whole effin' concert ... ;-P

This is actually very harmless. "Engel" was even often played in the radio in germany. Their lyrics sound simple, but really often are quite sophisticated.

I also went to see Rammstein here in Chile...a very crazy show...the fireworks were incredible...I was on one side of the stadium and I felt the heat from the fire on the stage...I think that those who were in the front row burned up to their eyebrows... ha... here's a link to a live song from a show last year...

That "pyro" stuff is not fake fire, it's real and it's hot. And the wings are not the only flame throwers that you will see in their live performance.

In case of Rammstein, precise translations of the lyrics is hard work (and sometimes not possible in subtitles), because they are playing many times with double meanings of words or slightly modify common German expressions and symbolic language pictures to invert or change their meanings. (That is even used in the very simple lyrics of "Du hast".)

This band exists official since 1994 and they have the same line up ever since. Their names are:
Till Lindemann (vocalist, lyricist and licensed pyrotecnition, that is why they can do what they do at life performances. There is an old interview with him from 1998 were he explains a little bit of it: ua-cam.com/video/uUkjov1tbAY/v-deo.html He als has his side projects called "Lindemann" with Peter Tägtgren from Hypocrisy and Pain and in his youth he was a swimmer and almost at the Olympic Games in 1980, but due to an injury he had to give it up. Since 4th of January 2023 he is 60.
Richard Z.
