It is programed to the body control module, and the cars computer, do you have the body control module that the radio came out of? It would be a start. I have the same problem, I have a 2008 cadillac sts with a regular radio, and I have a 2011 cadillac sts parts car that has a navigation radio that I would love to have in the 2008 cadillac sts, but will not start because of the security problem. I always wondered if you can change the radio and body control module if it would work, or have to change the computer too. You see they have the vin number in the computer code on the radio body control module and computer so they all must match before it will work. Hope this helps. Thanks.
