Comic Trips!! This 6hr road trip awesome well worth it going to have to do one of those next summer great video and man the back room of books and books of comics!! Great video!👍👍👍batchlurett party!! At 24 min on video awesome!! Liking the Detective comic grabs I'm in the hint for the same 👍
That store is cool. I don't think I could convince the wife to make the road trip though. The Buffalo bike tours are fun. Haven't done one myself yet but I have friends that have. I believe they do paddle boat tours as well. Can't wait for part 2.
I give Paul some crap every now and then BUT I have to give credit where credit is due..This type of 'interview', with the owner going thru his shop and showing us his inventory, how he does things and commenting in general about the biz is great. Little to no interruption with questions or statements by whoever. Slowing down the camera when panning so we can see whats on the walls/in the cabinets/in the comic boxes is awesome as well...It gives the feeling that im there as well instead of viewing it on a screen 2k miles away.. The pop up boxes is fantastic, and the graphics Paul is using is current and distinctive. It draws the eyes directly to it as it should. The production value of Comic Trips is approaching semi professional and if you look at season 1 for instance, the steps taken to get here are amazing. Well done Paul...Very well done. Kat adds alot of charisma and laughs to the videos and in the position of color commentary to Paul's 'play by play' is fantastic. She has grown ALOT over the seasons and its apparent... I'll tell you this much, if I could invest in this show I would...Its too bad CT can't make this a full time gig instead of part time. I believe they could be really successful if they had the chance..... NIce job CT.....You have done an amazing job...(and dont get pissed if I give you some shit every now and then, consider it positive critiquing haha)
I have to say that this is probably my favorite episode so far. You guys have grown a ton in just a few years and I after binge watching the whole show over the course of a few weeks you definitely see the difference in production value as well as comfort with the camera. The video quality was very well done, no flares or issues with lighting the store was shown off very well and you guys covered everything. You can tell that as you guys do more and more videos your passion for this increases and it's great. Keep up the great work guys I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates what you guys are doing. And I agree with Jeff, we as fan like to send stuff, I unfortunately don't have a lot of money but I do own a lot of comics so it's fun to give back when we can for the hours of fun you guys give us.
Dude thanks so much. One of the best compliments we can receive is when someone notices our increase in quality. We've taken countless hours to edit and produce these videos all on our own, learning more and more as we go. Means the world to us, so thank you. Sincerely!
Wow! What a cool store!! One thing that really caught my eye was The "Godzilla: Gangsters and Goliaths" print signed by Geof Darrow! Sweeeeet!! And I love stores with a good selection of variants! (nice touch with the "why collect variants?" btw! I had to explain what they are sooo many times)
Great fun again, loved it. And the collection of original art and prints he had at the store was to die for. That's been my focus the past couple of years, making sure I get some art form local or industry artists every show I go to, but the pieces there were phenomenal! -M
Wow what a store..amazing, my favorite part was the Repetitive Roasted Chicken being carved in the back round and those yummy Potatoes...MMMM, oh ya the Books you picked up where great as well, Thanks for the vid.
Well, you will find out that you cant collect them all but you will try LOL i have tried. Enjoyed the show keep up the nice work. Mr. White Gloves Outa Here.
New to the show, just fantastic! Thanks for all you do and going places where we'd all love to be tagging along! Grew up in South Jersey back in the 80's-90's, used to live in Beachcomber and Fantasy Factory collecting all sorts of goodies, glad to see the area bursting with this kind of content :)
Oh, it's great to have you as part of our little family! Paul actually basically grew up inside Beachcomber, it was where he first started collecting! RIP Shore Mall! Thanks so much for watchin!
Wow is the Shore Mall totally gone now? Grew up in there too, can't forget about Space Port! Oddly enough was watching your EP w/ EHT Comics, I was chatting with him and said he bought alot of the stock from Beachcomber when they dumped a lot of their comic stock. Small world! Best of luck to you!
great episode guys. Wish me luck this week, i am going to my first comic con this Friday -Sunday in palm springs Ca. ohh p.s i will be rocking my comic trips shirt all weekend!!!!!! love you guys.
That bike/bar you saw is fun to do but some people can't handle drinking and pedaling. I got stuck behind one in downtown Austin and poor lady fell off from drinking and the heat of Texas .... It was a mixture of feeling bad and laughing at the same time.
Very cool vidya, I remember seeing Jeff In your wizard world video from back when, and I was like " thats looks like Jeff Watkins" sure enough, it was, met him for the first time back in 2012, at a small convention that used to go on at a local casino here, I was wearing a disembodied shirt, and as I was walking by him, he was like woah awesome shirt or something like that, and proceeded to talk with me about bands from that era, and how he helped put on hellfest(r.i.p.), any ways a super nice, genuinely good guy, his store is about an hour and a half from here, and I really need to check it out.
Aw thank you so much! Hey, the best way to get the word out and help is to just share our videos and tell your friends! We really appreciate the kind words!
ooh a new place to go check out!!!! that place looks bomb!!!! I love that he carries variants because that's my jam!!!! and i love how kat keeps collecting jessica drews everywhere. i myself just picked up the marvel legend. I can't wait to see next weeks episode!!!!!
Awesome Video and Covers...Fun video once again. Thank you for Sharing this trip...Awesome looking store... #AutoBotsRollOut #ComicTripsForever #ComicTripsFamily
Another awesome video. Jeff really seems like one hell of a guy, and I hope someday to get out to NY and visit his shop. If you ever end up in the midwest, let us know. There's not much here in Iowa, but we do have some pretty nice comic shops.
I think you like that MisFit City it's a cross between like a Goonies and Stranger Things to me it has a real 80's feel to it. Well enjoy reading it Kat laters,"the comic book villain"
Alright Syracuse is actually something I can day trip to. Sad to see the mall the way it is though. As for your comment about brick and mortar vs online, I think I view purchasing from a brick and mortar that the value of a book is almost double that of online. Seeing and holding a book before purchasing allows you to inspect it and you can walk out with it in your hands in a condition you are happy with and not having to worry about damage during shipping.
Ok, Jeff seems like such a cool dude. 19:49 "Dista ce" I think this is the second time I've seen a random N missing from an episode. Makes me wonder if the font pack you use is goofing lol. Awesome episode as always.
Drahcir's Comics and Things so there technically isn't a letter missing, but we have noticed with this font pack add-on for FCPX, you have to tweak the text size or certain letters get "pushed out"' so to speak. Dang it I thought we caught them all! :(
I figured it had to be some weird tech related thing. Another awesome video regardless - I swear the shops out they way have way more personable owners than out here lol.
Dopeity dope episode. Liked the sign about variants in the beginning on why they're important to collect. Reminds me of a spot called Challenges Games & Comics over here in Decatur, GA. And of course Kat got me installing the CLZ app. Yall guys are enablers...good enablers by the way. First Slab-Pro now this (reminds me, gotta buy more of those slabs....sigh).
Great to see you're getting into DC books! We're mostly getting the Rebirth Batman titles atm but would love to get some old Detective issues some day...
I just went there not too long ago! Nothing like walking through that dead mall, Destiny USA killed them. Jeremiah (one of the guys that helps Jeff run everything) used to run the comic section of my LCS in a city an hour away. Bahaha about the underestimating upstate NY. I'm originally from the Cooperstown area, so small middle of nowhere cow towns, and when we get the baseball tourists its the funniest crap ever. They go to NY and all they expect is city. Oh and if I wasn't at Motor City Comic Con, I would have met you guys there. You'll have to let me know if you ever make the trek north again which is now even longer haha. Great video!
Hi guys while you are in Buffalo you should definitely stop at Queen City Book Store it is the best Comic Shop in the city of Buffalo in my opinion ! Signed Big Rob
I have been binging on your series and I’m in love 😍🤤 so, when is season 9 coming 😂😂.... and you you guys got me very intrigued in reading comics and starting my own collection 😂😂. Ps.. keep up the great work guys 💕💕
i meant Jeff Watkins he's a really nice and cool guy. he knows a lot about comic books and other things to do with that. I'm going to free comic book day which i believe is tomorrow. hoping to enjoy it. but yah Jeff is a really nice guy and definitely someone to talk to and be friends with.

Yep! We've done it in multiple seasons before, we just decided to go with a short into this season. Check out one of our episodes from last season to see what we're talking about ua-cam.com/video/WXqn3rTXpG0/v-deo.html

Jeff is indeed a patron saint of the comic book world for sure. We need to make our back out to the midwest, it's been a bit!
So depressing seeing shopping malls abandoned like that. The mall was THE place to be when I was a kid.
Same here, Dan. It was where EVERYONE went. BUT maybe they should just make malls full of comic and toy shops since they seem to do well lol!
I think you like that MisFit City it's a cross between like a Goonies and Stranger Things to me it has a real 80's feel to it. Well enjoy reading it Kat laters,"the comic book villain"
The food on that background tv though.
I kinda miss hearing kat saying "Comic TRREEYUPS!" In the intro 😂
Soooo what you're saying is it should make a comeback for Season 9? :):):)
Cool Ass Shop Dope Episode 😃 😃 😃
Thanks, Carlos!!
It’s your 8th season?!? Man, time flies....loved the vid, as always ...thanks for the great content guys :)
If you guys go through Teaneck NJ. There is a small and I mean small shop on cedar lane
Alright Syracuse is actually something I can day trip to. Sad to see the mall the way it is though.

Wow he seems like a good guy.
He truly is. He has passion and a love for his fellow man.
That TV in the background is making me hungry.
Is it sad that we almost thought about putting something over it to prevent distraction? lol.
Ok, Jeff seems like such a cool dude.
19:49 "Dista ce" I think this is the second time I've seen a random N missing from an episode. Makes me wonder if the font pack you use is goofing lol.

Hmmmmm Decatur, GA? Wonder how close that is to where we just moved in South Carolina. Oh, man we might need to put a new place on the list!!!
Comic Trips oh, I got a BUNCH of places here in Atlanta and surrounding areas that yall can check out.
you guys are the best!
No, YOU are for watching! Thank you!
Great to see you're getting into DC books! We're mostly getting the Rebirth Batman titles atm but would love to get some old Detective issues some day...
love seen people playing melee

Ohhh rayyyy for DC comics!
I'm very sad to see this store closed. I'm new to the area and wanted to find sone good comics :( if you ever have old comics to sell let me know!
Who else paused and read the "Why collect variants" paper?
watched 3 vids of them and subbed already ! fun
i meant Jeff Watkins he's a really nice and cool guy.

Underrated channel.... 500k subs are lost on the way here :)
Don't get us wrong, 500k subs would be incredible but we really love our tightly-knit community on here as it stands!
You both put in a seriously quality show and are fun to behold on your adventures. Knowledgeable and entertaining... a hidden gem channel!
Awesome sauce!
You guys havent seen the drunk trolleys before? They are everywhere around our downtown area in Raleigh NC, and slightly closer than Buffalo lol
Nope, never seen em. Amazing concept. Apparently "Pedal Pubs" are their nickname? So funny.
Yup. We've had Pedal Taverns all over downtown Nashville for years now. Very popular with Bachelor/Bachelorette party groups.
paul start buying swamp thing books im having so much fun right now collecting. yes its another hole and im having a tough time finding some keys but worth it
Well, I don't need anymore convincing LOL.
My favorite part was when Paul left the N out of the word distance
UGH SHUT UPPPPP lol
Great video!!! Any plans on hitting the SW Florida Con in November? 1st Con for this area, would be cool to meet you!
Hmmmm, November you say? Send over a link and some info! We're always looking for new places to go! Thanks for the heads up, Paul!
Will do
I think you'd love our area if you have never been here
Have you guys been to Zapp Comics in Wayne?

hi you should do a clz app review.
Ooooohhh not a bad idea!

Uggggh, I gave in and purchased an air fryer. :(
aaaaand what are your thoughts?!
aaaaaand my thoughts are....That could've been an Infomercial for the "Shake Weight." I'd have a hard time explaining that to my kid. Seacrest Out!
Hey guys, great video did yous ever think about having an intro like hi I'm paul and I'm
Kat and this is CT would be a lot of fun

Have you guys been to neo comic con
Negative, do you have any info?!
you guys missed it, it was in ohio like right outside of cleveland and it was small but mighty
CRAP. Is it an annual event?!
yes it is
Is the CLZ better than the Comic Geeks app?
Not sure tbh, haven't tried Comic Geeks app. We do know, however that CLZ has a comprehensive list for all of it's comics, including release dates, issue synopsis and variant covers.
Comic Trips I jumped in the CLZ pool. Been uploading my books the last 2 days. out of 1440 comics, only 3 weren't in their data base, and they were Daily News and NY Post Exclusives. Thanks for the tip!
🖒👍
