Superb review, thank you for making it! Loved the comparison. I know now your job would be horribly hard to compare everything, but I really appreciate this level of detail and comparisons

I do not thin they are comparable. 50mm has no stabilization and no macro also it has 7 leaves in diafram, that is the point. I prefer 35mm because of macro, stabilization, faster work and better performance for any type of photos.... but the price is much higher for sure

Excellent review. For me it's the rf35 1.8 for the win 👍

Thank you for the video. Do you think it’s worth considering buying a used Sigma 35mm ART 1.4? Will it have a better image? In price it is equal to the new RF 35mm 1.8. So I wondered if it was worth using it for work? Everyone has their own opinion and is already confused

In the 2 comparison photos of the model with the hat and black top it’s strikingly obvious the 35mm is much sharper with better contrast and colours than the 50mm. Very obvious with the hair against the hat, in the 50mm photo her hair just mesh with the black hat where as in 35mm you can clearly see the highlights in her hair.
Thanks for this comparison as I was tossing up between the 2 lens but your video made it a no brainer to get the 35mm. Definitely worth the extra cost.
Fun fact, the 24mm is exactly the same size in measurements as the 35mm but the 35mm is slightly heavier.

añado una ventaja del 35 se puede cambiar el modo APSC y se convierte en un 50.

great video!! what prime lens can u recommend for eos r50? i want to achieve a sharp portrait with great bokeh effect. and also one that can perform well in low light situations. currently, i only have my kit lens 18-45mm. thank you in advance!

I’m in the exact situation than you 😂
Wondering if the RF 50mm or the RF 35mm.
Also still deciding if the 35mm-150mm or the 50mm-210mm.

    Hello Master:
Please help and give me some advice,
The camera I am currently using is Canon EOS R10,
The kit lens used with it is (RF-S18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM)
My main subject matter is toy photography.
The secondary shooting content is street photography or portrait photos.
Now I want to buy new lenses, after watching your video,
Want to compare between Canon RF 50mm f/1.8 STM and RF85mm F2 Macro IS STM
After making a choice, I would like to ask you to give me some advice on which lens is more suitable for me? Thank you.🙏🙏🙏

Get 35mm. On r10 it will be equivalent to 50mm on full frame.

Great video. Iam planning to go with RF35mm. I am trying to decide between R8 and R6 mark II. I am not professional, just a casual shooter planning to take pics of vacation with family. Why one should I go with? Please share your thoughts

If you can afford get R6II. I am a R8 user. The battery, IBIS when shooting birds matters.

Bokeh is NOT depth of field!! Further more, if you frame your subject the same with both lenses, i.e. get closer with the 35mm, you'll get the same depth of field. What you are showing is the subject-background separation.
