Let's say VCT starts in India and Riot investigates, as per Riot rule a player cannot represent two orgs. If Riot investigates and finds out the legal rights are still with Team Mahi and the transfer has happened unofficially he might be banned for atleast a year including the org. For Tenz to play with Sentinals they had to buy out his exclusive rights and contract even though it was a loan transfer, that guy even had to change his banner and name on twitter. It biggest mistake of TM was, firstly, recording the conversation which I don't know why they did it. Could be a protocol. However, if anybody knows a little about privacy laws and laws related to telephonic conversations, it was completely wrong to make it public when the player's reputation is at stake. Whether Excali was aware of the recording is a secondary factor, as the motive of the entity releasing the conversation is taken into consideration first which was to clear the facts for public. And once a recording is public it is inadmissible in court of law or anywhere, as it becomes a piece of media. Disheartening part is that individual choices are being questioned, baseless accusations being thrown, through out the community. Just because Excali decided to move on, his personal choice, uninfluenced as he clarifies in the clip played. The crux of the matter here is there is no standing for breach of contract unless Excali has signed, on paper, with Samurai Esports (the org accused of unprofessional behavior). An Instagram post or press release don't breach a contract. It justifies news report, a decision. If announcements were to be taken so seriously, one of the orgs in India would announce an exceptionally talent player of NA or EU has joined them. Will he become a part of the org? NO, unless it is at will of the player. Debating about the issue is a healthy way to deal with it, however logic must be present and matter must be questioned with intelligence. I am a fan of nobody. I was, indeed, once a CSGO supporter. Thought of sharing basic facts which shall clear things, as for now. I hope this helps. Makes things understandable. I am NOT blaming TM. Like Excali, they also made a choice here when they decided to release the clip. And I respect all decisions.

His leaving would mean he would have to submit 1-3 months of salary (depending on his contract), which probably Samurai will do for him. I don't think this is as big a deal as people are making it out to be.

Let's say VCT starts in India and Riot investigates, as per Riot rule a player cannot represent two orgs. If Riot investigates and finds out the legal rights are still with Team Mahi and the transfer has happened unofficially he might be banned for atleast a year including the org. It biggest mistake of TM was, firstly, recording the conversation which I don't know why they did it. Could be a protocol. However, if anybody knows a little about privacy laws and laws related to telephonic conversations, it was completely wrong to make it public when the player's reputation is at stake. Disheartening part is that individual choices are being questioned, baseless accusations being thrown, through out the community. Just because Excali decided to move on, his personal choice, uninfluenced as he clarifies in the clip played. The crux of the matter here is there is no standing for breach of contract unless Excali has signed, on paper, with Samurai Esports (the org accused of unprofessional behavior). An Instagram post or press release don't breach a contract. It justifies news report, a decision. If announcements were to be taken so seriously, one of the orgs in India would announce an exceptionally talent player of NA or EU has joined them. Will he become a part of the org? NO, unless it is at will of the player. Debating about the issue is a healthy way to deal with it, however logic must be present and matter must be questioned with intelligence. I am a fan of nobody. I was, indeed, once a CSGO supporter. Thought of sharing basic facts which shall clear things, as for now. I hope this helps. Makes things understandable. I am NOT blaming TM. Like Excali, they also made a choice here when they decided to release the clip. And I respect all decisions.

I don't think this is as big a deal as people are making it out to be.
Generally contract will be 1 year salary mostly. As per current salary i think its 12.5 lakhs.
