I almost know how to play this song thanks to this tutorial. This is also a song that makes you happy😊. Desafinado, garota de Ipanima and this song are for now the songs i like most. I had the privilege to see Astrud Gilberto in the late 80's. Sinds then, bossa nova is one of the nicest music to play. More difficult chord wise speaking, but so much satisfaction if you can play is. Thank you!!
Thank you!! Not only for the wonderful guitar lesson, but also for enunciating the lyrics clearly enough to be understood! Comparing the written lyrics to most versions of this song is useless, but in this video I can make sense of it. (I'm going to have to learn some Portuguese to really figure it out, but this is a good start.)
Thank you...Portuguese is a most beautiful language worth investing in...I have a few videos to help people sing in Portuguese...let me know if you can't find them...
@@WilliamSaadGuitar I'm looking forward to it. I'm a bit of a language nerd... I speak Mandarin pretty well, and French (though it's pretty rusty), and a smattering of Japanese, Taiwanese, Spanish, German... but Portuguese seems very elusive to me. Elusive and beautiful, as you say. Obrigado! ;-)
Wonderful, but there are definitely some things going on with the right hand that I can't catch, especially in the middle of the video where the verse begins. Any help would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I work on smoothing out what I have so far. Many thanks.
Welcome. My pleasure. Please check out other videos in the channel. Quote a few upbeat numbers. E.g. Bala com Bala, Serrado, Os Grilos, Escape...thank again and good luck!
It is my pleasure Nick. I am glad the channel is helping people learn this most beautiful style of music that God has gifted to the Brazilian people and to the world. God Bless you too.

Thank you for your thorough guitar tutorials. As an American English only speaker, I would love to know what the lyrics mean. After listening to Bossa Nova almost exclusively since Springtime I’m beginning to pick up some Brazilian Portuguese, and have a feeling for the emotions being expressed. Like the title here means more than nothing (I think). It would be informative. Thanks again…
Well worth investing time. I taught myself Portuguese because of the music. Still learning of course. Did you spot my videos about singing in Portuguese? Please also check out my video for Cançao amiga...English poetic translation in the video itself. Most beautiful song and lyrics.
Thank you dear Rostislav...I am glad you appreciated the tutorial and the detail. It is worth watching the main video too. Thank you again for your encouragements. Kind Regards.
Sorry. It is worth your while learning the basic bossa nova rhythm variations as described in my video "The bossa nova rhythm explained" although this samba rhythm is slightly different. Samba and Bossanova rhythms are intimately related to each other.
